Apparently motivated by the greatest Republic victory in the last two centuries, the Sith have launched multiple attacks across the Core. While Humbarine has received a second attack this year, Duros, Kuat and even Coruscant have all come under attack by Sith forces.
Suitably cautious after Darth Xarax's foolishness led to his defeat and death, the Sith forces didn't underestimate Admiral Rosabella Stone as they invaded Humbarine. Yet while that saved from an overwhelming defeat, it wasn't enough to grant the Sith victory. Despite the caution of her foes and their superior numbers, Admiral Stone was able to win another victory for the Republic at Humbarine even if this one wasn't as great as her previous one. After a few cautious engagements and a pair of failed attempts to land ground forces planetside, the Sith eventually withdraw with the majority of the forces intact if battered, leaving Humbarine still in Republic hands.
The fighting at Duros and Kuat both end in draws that are nominal Republic victories by the dint of maintaining the status quo that leaves both systems as Republic territory. Both the Sith attackers and Republic defenders maul each at Duros before the former retreat while Kuat is a close fought battle. According to the reports from Rendili's historical rival, the Sith were initially winning and it was only rushing several new warships into battle that saw the invaders repulsed. Even then, the Sith did a good number on the space infrastructure in the Kuat system before they were beaten back.
The fighting at Coruscant has gone the worst for the Republic. While the capital of the Galactic Republic proves too much for the Sith to just conquer in one fell swoop, it is only the weight of numbers that sees the Sith driven back as the attacking forces inflicted disproportionate damage on both Coruscant and her defenders before they fled. While many warships and starfighters were destroyed or badly damaged, the Sith also performed a brief bombardment of the planet's surface.
While the Senate District avoided the majority of it, many areas in Coruscant have been devastated as hundreds of thousands are killed, countless individuals are left homeless and a significant number of factories and other production sites are damaged or outright destroyed. Combined with the breakdown of interstellar trade causing shortages of food and other basic necessities, Coruscant looks to be in for rough times.
In more local news, the military forces at Rendili are reporting good things about their status. The Republic Army is close to getting both of its infantry brigades back up to full strength between their newly restocked armouries and their new recruits though they still require additional numbers if they are to invade another world or fight off a serious Sith invasion.
Similarly, the Republic Navy is reporting that all of their warships have been fully repaired and their starfighter complements have been restored to full strength. At the moment, the Republic Navy is looking into improving their numbers, but the construction of new warships will need to wait until the Rendili Home Fleet finishes its repairs, something expected to be mostly done by the end of this year and finished by the halfway point of next year. Also like the Republic Navy, the Rendili Home Fleet has finished restoring all of its starfighter complements to full strength.
[-] Residential Reconstruction (Phase 2)
Due to the recent Sith attack, vast swathes of Rendili's residential zones have been damaged, rendering people unable to live in their old homes. While the welfare department has done its best to accommodate these newly homeless individuals, there just aren't enough homes for everyone on Rendili right now.
(168/150, 10 Resources per Die) (18/200) (+1 Political Support) (+2 Housing)
The reconstruction continues apace as the various construction droids and construction workers make good use of their budget. With the easiest parts of the rebuilding already done, the work done this quarter is less cost-effective compared to the previous quarter. Nonetheless, millions of homes are successfully cleared of debris and wreckage and rebuilt to once again be livable.
And that is all that matters to the citizens of Rendili as those rendered homeless during the Sith atack are now able to return to their homes instead of living with friends or family or staying in improvised shelters.
[-] Construct Vertical Farms (Phase 1)
While Rendili will never truly be self-sufficient in terms of foodstuff, it can reduce its external reliance by constructing indoor farms within its planet-wide city. Using a mixture of hydroponics, aquaponics, and aeroponics, it should allow for a notable amount of local food production.
(134/200, 5 Resources per Die) (+1 Food)
Work continues on the vertical farms as an expansion to the first set of indoor farms begins. While the workers make great progress with the resources available to them, they are unfortunately limited by the available budget and manpower. As the housing crisis was deemed to be a greater priority, only a small portion of the Ministry of Infrastructure's available funding was directed to the vertical farms and for the first wave of expansions to be completed, more time and credits is required.
And that additional funding will be required as while the food crisis isn't bad enough yet that people are starving to death in especially great numbers, but the poorer Rendili citizens are becoming increasingly skinnier and thinner.
[-] Industrial Reconstruction (Phase 1)
A good number of industrial sites suffered varying degrees of damage during the Sith attack, hindering Rendili's industrial capabilities. Fixing them would help restore Rendili's industry capability to what it was before the attack, something which will be vital for the more long term plans of the Arch-Provost.
(110/100, 10 Resources per Die) (10/150) (+5 Resources per turn) (+2 Capital Goods)
With another influx of resources, the industrial reconstruction continues and more progress is made as the first of the rebuilt sites are beginning production again by the end of the quarter. While some minor work is started on the second phase of reconstruction, the new hardware and tooling entering the market will both boost the local economy and allow for greater expansion of the Republic warmachine.
[-] Commercial Reconstruction (Phase 1)
A good number of commercial sites suffered varying degrees of damage during the Sith attack, hindering Rendili's ability to provide commercial goods and services. Fixing them would help restore Rendili's commercial capability to what it was before the attack, something which will greatly improve the quality of life for Rendili's people.
(90/100, 10 Resources per Die) (+5 Resources per turn) (-1 Capital Goods, +2 Consumer Goods)
While projects that have at least some benefit to the military are given the priority, the civilian side of things isn't neglected either. More commercial-oriented sites were also damaged in the Sith attack and now work on rebuilding them begins. Significant progress is made as the first phase is almost finished through some additional work and credits are required before the commercial sites can be reopened.
But once they are reopened, these locations will begin to provide the citizens of Rendili with luxury goods once more and help bolster the local economy.
[-] Expand Mining Operations (Phase 1)
Everyone needs raw materials so they can make things from basic goods to weapons to starships and Rendili is no exception. While the Rendili is primarily dependent on interstellar trade to supply itself, it can also perform its own state-owned mining operations to acquire raw materials in the local asteroid belt.
(174/100, 10 Resources per Die) (74/200) (+10 Resources per turn) (-1 Capital Goods, +2 Logistics)
With greater experience and a new influx of budget, the workers are able to get the first of the new asteroid mines online and they have begun to produce raw materials to be sent back to Rendili. While they won't be enough to satisfy Rendili's demand on their own, these locally procured materials will go a long way to offsetting the lack of raw materials from the breakdown in interstellar trade.
Not stopping to rest on their laurels, the workers get to work on a second set of asteroid mines. With the most convenient locations already taken by the initial mines, the second set will take more effort and funding to set up as a result of their less than ideal locations. That said, these new asteroid mines are still reasonably easy to reach and Rendili has some way to go before it is forced to go after the more unreasonable hard to reach locations.
[-] Mining Grants
Rendili can conduct its own mining operations, but it would be more efficient to sponsor private mining endeavours by sponsoring local organisations and then buying some of the output at reduced prices.
(+5 Resources per turn)
While state-owned asteroid mines are one way to do things, another way is to support private entities and their own efforts at asteroid mining. While not as directly profitable as the Treasury running its own mines, it also requires less direct input as the private businesses handle the day to day affairs with the government funding that they have been given. Between being able to buy some mined raw materials at reduced prices and the boost to the local economy, the Treasury is able to make a net profit on this venture at the end of the day.
[-] Republic Remnants
Rendili isn't the only prominent world that still considers itself to still be part of the Republic. There is still a Supreme Chancellor and Galactic Senate on Coruscant and Rendili's historical rivals of Corellia and Kuat still resist the Sith. Anaxes is still the Defender of the Core and Alderaan continues to live up to her status as the Soul of the Republic. Reach out to one of the other major Republic Remnants so see where you stand with them.
-[-] Coruscant (31) (DC20, 5 Resources per Die)
Escorted by a trio of
Hammerhead-class Cruisers, the Rendili diplomats arrive in the aftermath of the devastating Sith assault on Coruscant. While the capital of the Republic held, it was devastated by an orbital bombardment that has only compounded the other problems that the planet is facing.
Supreme Chancellor Genarra, a Jedi Master who has been newly elected to the position in the aftermath of the attack, is desperate for aid to support and all she and Coruscant desire from Rendili is help with their current plight. And Arch-Provost Gabrana has chosen to give that aid though she has left it up to you as the head of the Rednili Treasury to determine how much aid can be spared.

-[-] Humbarine (140) (DC25, 5 Resources per Die)
With a
Valour-class Cruiser as its escort, Rendili's diplomatic envoys arrive at Humbarine shortly after the latest Sith attack has been beaten back. Making their way through the wreckage to reach the planet, the Rendili diplomats meet with the local representatives. Happy to hear from Rendili, Humbarine currently desires two things from their fellow Core World.
The first is to purchase more
Hammerhead-class Cruisers and
Aurek-class Tactical Starfighters to both replace their losses and increase the numbers of their fleets. After receiving approval from Arch-Provost Cassrya Gabrana, the diplomats agree to the proposal after accessing that it is within Rendili's capabilities and Humbarine has suffered two major Sith attacks in the last year.
The second thing that Humbarine would like from Rendili is to make use of its shipyards to repair its warships. While they have their own shipyards, they are far fewer than what Rendili has and everyone knows that Rendili will only be building more shipyards in the future. The agreement should be easy enough to carry out, but accepting it means that Rendili's own warship repairs will be slowed down. Though the deal is fully within Rendili's means, the fact that it will impact Rendili's own defences means that the Arch-Provost is seeking advice from the rest of her government before committing one way or the other.
Humbarine wishes to use Rendili shipyards to repair its warships.
[] Recommend to Arch-Provost Gabrana that Rendili agrees to the deal.
[] Recommend to Arch-Provost Gabrana that Rendili declines the deal.
[-] Additional Medical Training
With the war reaching Rendili and the rest of the Core Worlds, medical attention will become more important than ever. Fund additional healthcare training courses to improve the degree and amount of medical care that Rendili is capable of providing.
(103/120, 15 Resources per Die) (+3 Health)
More funding is given to the medical training courses, but the problems from last quarter still plagued the project. The shortage of spare personnel with the proper training means that there is insufficient training to go around and no amount of credits will change the fact that there just isn't enough qualified people to do the job. Some progress is made, but it is minimal and more time and funding will be required before the project can complete.
[-] Technical Education Programs
Pushing a series of education programs could help free up some more hardware. By teaching the average worker how to better care for and maintain their machinery and electronics, it should reduce the number of replacement equipment and parts required, freeing them up for use elsewhere.
(63/150, 10 Resources per Die) (+1 Capital Goods)
The training programs make a steady amount of progress though they still have a decent way to go before you begin to see a meaningful amount of improvement. While a few trainees have easily grasped their lessons, it will take some more training before there are enough people who are able to take care of their equipment well enough for there will be a meaningful drop in spare parts being used for the Treasury to track.
[-] Basic Army Restock
The infantry of the Republic Army is in bad shape and they will need more blasters, more armour and all of the other basic equipment. In need of more recruits to restore its infantry brigades to full strength, it will also need infantry gear to equip those new recruits.
(182/140, 10 Resources per Die)
Now that you have determined the status of the Republic Army on Rendili, getting it back into fighting shape is priority. Throwing a good amount of funding into this expensive, but important task, it is a matter of contacting local supplies to get them to produce sufficiently high-quality blasters, body armour, grenades and any other bits of equipment that the troopers might need. Combined with purchasing what you could from offworld traders passing through the system, the Republic Army has enough infantry gear to fully equip two whole brigades with some left over and with their new recruits, the Republic Army is able to field two infantry brigades at almost full strength.
The only downside is that by purchasing what was available, there is no real standardisation to the infantry equipment beyond ensuring a certain degree of quality. Implementing that would require either fixing the galactic economy or building local factories to produce the standardised equipment for the Republic Army.
[-] Army Vehicle Resupply
Due to combat losses, the Republic Army is currently understrength when it comes to its armoured regiments. To restore its armoured regiments to full strength, it will need to acquire more tanks, artillery and other combat vehicles for its new crews to use.
(36/70, 20 Resources per Die)
While the Treasury funds the supplying the infantry brigades of the Republic Army, it also does the same with the Republic Army's armoured regiments. Combat vehicles require a certain level of standards to be met, but the difficulty of acquiring more is offset by how few new combat vehicles are required.
Unfortunately, the combat vehicles are suffering from the same lack of standardisation as the infantry equipment. While acquiring what is available will bring the armoured regiments of the Republic Army back to full strength in a timely manner, dedicated factories will be required to supply enough combat vehicles for standardisation to become practical.
[-] Build
Hammerhead-class Cruiser Republic Shipyards (Phase 1)
With the Sith attack crippling Rendili's shipbuilding, there is a shortage of intact shipyards with the vast majority of the remaining being used for repair work and maintenance. The
Hammerhead-class Cruiser is the iconic warship of the Republic Navy, having been used as its primary workhorse and that is the case for good reason
(111/90, 15 Resources per Die) (21/90) (+5 Political Support) (-1 Capital Goods)
Rendili is renowned for its shipbuilding and the
Hammerhead-class Cruiser is its most famous ship so it is only fitting that the first shipyard built under your direction is a
Hammerhead-class Cruiser shipyard. Taking advantage of damaged shipyards still in orbit around Rendili, the construction workers quickly finish the new shipyard as they repair an old one. By the end of the quarter, the new shipyard is online and producing new warships whilst the construction workers are using their spare time and budget to begin preliminary work on getting another damaged shipyard back online.
Furthermore, the Rendili public is pleased to have another shipyard for
Hammerhead-class Cruisers built so soon after the Sith attack. And that public support is only strengthened when the Republic Navy pays Rendili StarDrive for a new order of
Hammerhead-class Cruisers.
[-] Treasury Reorganisation
Between the recent attack, the Rendili Treasury isn't in good shape. It could be worse and it is still functional, but it could be operating better. Take the time to reorganise the Treasury so it is able to work better with you at its head.
(100/120, 5 Resources per Die) (-3 Political Support) (+1 to All Dice)
The reorganisation of the Rendili Treasury continues apace as you put more funding and resources behind the project. As things settle down, it begins to become easier to reorganise as people are no longer having to excessively worry about being able to get their work done. Unfortunately, your lack of expertise in this area is showing and you are certain that if it wasn't for your inaptitude towards bureaucracy, this project would have already finished by now.
[-] Recruitment Drives
The Republic has suffered greatly over the last several centuries and is, but a shadow of its former self. Yet there are still capable individuals and organisations out there and if you could bring those into the fold of the Rendili Treasury, the Treasury will benefit as will Rendili and what is left of the Republic.

New update with a bunch of choices for you guys to make. No plan voting is allowed for these choices. Please note that you aren't as powerful as some of the other plan quest characters. You have some sway as the Treasurer, but it is the Arch-Provost who rules over Rendili at the end of the day and it is they who call the shots.
Because of Arch-Provost Gabrana's choices, you have to send some aid to Coruscant, you must build some stuff for Humbarine and you can only influence her decision on lending shipyards for repair work to Humbarine not decide it.
Please point out any spelling or grammar mistakes that you spot. Please quote them in the thread and explain what you think is wrong so I know what you are referring to. Feel free to ask questions for more details and information.
