Quest to Become a Hero

[X] No

We probably shouldn't mess with guild materials. When we're a better adventurer, we can probably requisition/buy one to test it. Plus, it's not like they're going anywhere. We can wait to test this the right way.

Also, just checked the character sheets, and our rabbit minion has learned more about evasion than we did. Lol.

[X] No

Don't mess with guild materials, don't experiment while in the middle of training where everyone can see us do something that is supposed to be rare, don't experiment with the power that gave us our animal companion while said companion is next to a lot of people(Incase there is a 1 domination limit). This is all around a bad idea and should not be done.

A Rabbit is Better than a Scholar....
[X] No.

You shake your head at the awful idea, while it would satisfy your scholarly curiosity it is liable to cause more problems than answers and besides you need to focus on resting before you get beat down yet again. It, sadly, does not take line for your instructor to complete her advice and correction for the rest of the group which finds you once more going head-to-head with a wooden puppet.

The opening punch lands squarely on your chest sending you reeling back as you gasp for breath, and yet the rest of the course goes about as poorly. In essence you spend three hours getting beat up while managing to dodge the occasional strike, your mind noticing that the movements seem to slowly turn into instinct and muscle memory under the battery followed by lecturing. When the final round comes to an end you immediately collapse onto the ground and begin to gasp for air, pain radiating from a dozen or more spots all over your body.

'This woman is insane, isn't this a bit of an extreme way to teach?'

You are happy to find that at least two others are collapsed on the ground along with you, the rest of the class managing to stand on their feet fairly steadily despite the pounding they took from these damned dolls. Meanwhile, the instructor has returned to her seat and is staring at your group with a smug look, her eyes occasionally glancing over to where your minion is with a look of confusion. Almost in sync with her glance you feel a sudden flourishing of joy coming from your connection to the rabbit and it seems to be telling you that it learned what the sadistic lady was trying to teach.

Casting a glare in the rabbit's direction, you push yourself up into a sitting position to listen to the instructor's closing words.

"We are done here. You all did decent enough. Not gonna survive any real danger, but you might avoid a rusty knife into a kidney once a year now. Get lost, I have things to do."

With that she jumps up out of her seat and simply strolls away from the training field without a care in the world. Well, you hurt. Your body really doesn't want to do anything, but you still have most of the day to work with...

Titles:

They Who Seek the Crown (Level One, 12/25) - A title earned by gaining the blessing of the God of War in a chance encounter with his will. It is a boon granted to those who seek to become like Lords, towering above the world with every action and word capable of bringing great waves of change. Currently it is weak and only grants you the power of Domination, but if you grow stronger and perform in a way that meshes with this Boon then perhaps its strength can grow.
Heroes can be Thieves Right? - In the name of Heroism you stole classified information from the Church of War without being caught. Now no innocent souls shall be ended with this dangerous knife, but ... yours might be if you mess up? Slightly increased chance of learning stealth and thievery related skills until discovered, lost if the Sealed Scroll is destroyed.

Ethical Scholar - A scholar's duty is that of facts, numbers, honesty, and boundaries. You have a devotion to the work of the written word that few would follow in the face of potential benefits. You seek simply to perform your work to the best of your ability and stand within the morals of your scholar code, even find yourself compelled to do so. Established personal Scholarly Code, sticking to it makes your work easier and better while going against it more difficult and with worse results.
  • Scholar Code I - No work is better than hasty work. {Provides +2 to scholarly rolls when followed, take -2 to scholarly rolls when ignored.}
  • Scholar Code II - Provide the facts to those that hire you, nothing more and nothing less. {Provides 2 bonus experience when followed, lose 2 experience when ignored.}

Wonder if this place will have a crossbow. Seems like a good weapon for us.
