Puru Quest (Gundam UC/Mass Effect)

I honestly have forgotten who that Batavian is and what he did. Link back to the chapter, help everyone refresh their memory?

3rd story post, tried to imply he was going to help you get medical attention, was actually conspiring with his buddies to tag, bag, and sell your happy ass to the nearest slaver. You fled, used Luddik as a stepladder to get on a balcony, and the krogan thought this was ballsy and funny enough to punch the batarian in the face and shatter his jaw when he reached for you.

edit: Just indexed the whole thread BTW, might cannibalize the superfluous index at the start to make a character sheet.

[] Inform your Master of the batarian's attempt to take advantage of you, let him deal with that information as he see's fit.

[] Point out the severity of the injury, your Master is a doctor, therefore it is likely their, and by extension yours, to see to it that the injured are cared for.

[] Like above, but make sure to linger in an ambiguously menacing manner, so that the batarian is fully aware of how at your mercy they are.

[X] I miss write ins.

Don't we all?

-> [X] Ask him about his friends.

"Luddik must like to inset himself into the affairs of others. What happened to your friends? Why aren't they the ones to bring you for medical attention?" You inquire of the four eyed casualty. "Those were your friends? They seemed quite swift to join you in-"

The four eyed - Batarian, was it? - hisses at you. Almost certainly in anger.

"trying to capture me," you finish, undaunted. He'll be scary when he can bring a MS - until then he's merely annoying. "Ah, that sort of allies then." You know all about fair-weather friends. Betrayal, both personal and ideological, were common enough in the wars of the Universal Century.

Unfortunately, you're training focused on piloting, not managing what was an obvious defection potential. But then, the tactical instruction you had received said to seize any opportunity and exploit it for all it was worth. "Perhaps you need new friends. Perhaps you would like to tell all about the false friends who left you?" You feel, giddy almost, at the prospect of doing an officer's work. But your Master has been silent, giving both you and the four- the Batarian a considering look, which you take as an invitation to pursue this line of attack. "I think I had the right starting point. Where are they?"

Vengeance is sweet.

Alright, consensus seems to be informing Mordin of the situation, considering you cant talk to the Batarian yourself (Shit tier omnitool on him, none on you), this is probably the closest decision to what you guys seem to desire.

I will lock votes and begin writing at the top of the hour.

Edit : Slightly delayed by friends wanting to play tank games.

Returning to the Clinic
[x] Inform your Master of the batarian's attempt to take advantage of you, let him deal with that information as he see's fit.

Leveling the batarian with a prolonged glare, you start mulling over how best to advise your Master's response. It occurs to you that without context this might actually reflect badly on Luddik, and given their hand in enabling you to reach your Master you fool this would be in poor taste. Unfortunately, these creatures all look about the same to you, and this one you believe has changed clothes. You aren't even sure which of the group he was, which makes it difficult to narrow down what to report to your Master.

"Master, if it-" You start carefully, before your Master cuts you off.

"Please. Dont address as such. Implications unfortunate." Their tone and aura is again a bit troubled, and in turn so are you. It is the only proper way to address your Master, and it reinforces the idea of your role… yet they seem to reject it.

Stress 10/30

You grimace before you continue, not retracting your form of address but not restating it either, "It would likely be useful for you to know this one received their injury while pursuing me in an injured state. Their intents were less than altruistic, however you have expressed yourself as a Doctor, even the 'Vorcha' referenced you as a mender of wounds. I ask that you do not look on Luddik negatively, for without their assistance I would not have reached this place and your light."

The reply from behind you is another sigh, as well as a bit of frustrated confusion. "Really must get further clarification on 'light' you describe. Interesting phenomenon. In mean time, cannot verify information. Appologies, but will not be acting outside medical capacity in this instance."

(coin flip for stress…. and none gained, lucky)

It troubles you that your Master seems to think you would give them false information, but for now you manage to accept it as just part of the complicated situation in which you find yourself. Your Master is not human, and cannot be expected to understand Newtypes, much less your bond…
That still hurts though doesn't it? You deserve it
Nodding your assent to the judgement, you fall in a step behind your Master as they open the clinic doors, and lead the injured batarian inside. The receptionist gives you a bit of an odd look upon your return, and she seems to find it odd you are accompanying the doctor so closely.

Looking across the way, you see a familiar face in a opened room, giving some sort of exam to… a humanoid cricket? They appear to be applying some sort of paste to an apparent gunshot wound in their side. The cricket creature glances at you and gives an odd friendly aura with a slight nod, while the assistant to your Master works on some sort of diagnostic program with those odd orange aura's.

Ah, Daniel, that was the man's name.

Your Master makes a sharp turn to a side room as you are examining this situation, the door opening ahead of them, and closing just behind the batarian. You wince a bit that you were not addressed at all in this decision, as your Master is alone in a room with that creature. You suppose you should not doubt your Master's prowess, and their capability of dealing with an unarmed injured scumball, but at the same time it is in your nature to be concerned.

If they simply wish to fulfill their nature as a medical professional though, you suppose your presence could only interfere… you only know the very basics of battlefield aid after all.

[] All these qualifications are irrelevant, your place is at your Master's side, until they dismiss you, you shall enter that room and stand vigilant. The door lights are not indicating it to be locked, so it should open as you near it.

Perhaps the ordered dismissal was meant to be implicit, as troubling as that may be.

[] Inspect the curiously unconcerned humanoid cat/cricket creature, they seem fairly pure at heart, and it seems their wound is not especially serious. Though, they are being seen to by that rather disagreeable assistant of your Master's.

[] Just stand ready in the lobby, though you will have to endure the receptionist's constant concerned glances, you will remain fairly close to your master, and you won't get any closer to that prick Daniel.

[] Go contemplate the water dispenser/write-in

[X] Explore the clinic a bit more thoroughly this time. Perhaps you would find something useful/come to understand your location more?

Well, I certainly wont object to writing that, though I kinda wish that I had more people offering commentary.

It's kinda self-explanatory.

You are on some unknown planet with species you have never known about with technology you have no knowledge of and with no known associates outside of Master.

Basically, we are a fish out on a desert. During a drought.

The least we could do is to familiarise ourselves with the place.

I feel that inspecting the patient that will only be here temporarily is more important than looking around the clinic that will still be here later.

Well, that or familiarise ourselves with local weapons, and I think it may be just a tad unpopular with Master for now.

Well if nothing changes in the next hour and a half I will get to writing, I wont lock votes though so if things change before I post I will just consider it practice.

Talking with the Wounded Turian
[x] Inspect the curiously unconcerned humanoid cat/cricket creature, they seem fairly pure at heart, and it seems their wound is not especially serious. Though, they are being seen to by that rather disagreeable assistant of your Master's.

Walking over to the doorway, you stop short of actually entering the room, instead taking a closer looks at the one being treated on the table. They seem to be wide awake, utterly unconcerned with the wound to their side, and if the image in that hologram is to be believed, it apparently looks much worse than it is. At your approach they perk up and make a gesture that their demeanor would seem to indicate is a smile. "Well aren't you a curious little girl, you look like you've never seen a turian before." The say with a chuckle and closing their eyes in a way you would typically associate with some storybook grandmother. You assume this entity is a male by the tonality as well as the manner in which they present themselves, but with them not being human you can't really be sure.

"This assertion is accurate, I assume this is a descriptor of your specific species?" You reply in what you hope is a polite manner, though you've never been great at tonal variation… Eleven and Twelve were always better at that than you after all. You ignore the slight bit of discomfort from Daniel, as you aren't terribly fond of his attitude anyway, and you aren't impairing his work in any obvious capacity.

Unfortunately, either your query was peculiar enough, or your tone was off, as the slight shift in posture, as well as the feelings you get from the 'turian' indicate that they are a bit creeped out. "Ah, well then… er, are you here awaiting a parent's surgery then?" Their reply is awkward and stilted, as if they didn't want to simply dismiss the conversation rudely, they also seem quite surprised by your having not seen turians prior.

Hardly one to leave a task poorly attended yourself, you likewise find you must reply in kind, "No, my own injuries necessitated my appearance here, as I suffered a concussion as well as an impact fracture of my forearm." Looking at the turian's own wound, you decide to further the conversation with a counter question, "Your wound seems as though it is not terribly troubling to you, and furthermore it looks like the angle was rather poorly suited for a shot. Return fire on your elevated position?"

It appears you have erred in your judgement however, as the turian is simply becoming more uncomfortable and wary. "No, I… might have assumed a drug dealer was dead, and they managed to get a lucky shot off when I was walking past." There is a slight bit of discomfort not directed at you in this, as if they are embarrassed over the issue. As well they should be, that's goddamn embarrassing.

Daniel meanwhile is frowning at the casual manner in which the turian declared they had been killing drug dealers, and seems almost ready to interject, when you save them the embarrassment of insulting a patient by instead bringing up a similar critique. "You probably should simply save a magazine for placing lethal shots as you close, avoid such matters in the future."

Their head sinks into their shoulders a bit and if they were human you could swear they were blushing in embarrassment at being called out for something they knew better than to do. "Yeah yeah, dammit Archangel already yelled at me about that. Saving a spa- wait magazine? You mean clip?"

As you are opening your mouth to reply, Daniel sees fit to place a final patch over the now treated wound while loudly proclaiming the turian's health. "You should be just fine now, try to stick to simple movements for a couple days though just to make sure there is no long term scarring or loss of mobility."

The turian looks at Daniel oddly for a moment, but shrugs, and heads back over towards the front desk to finalize any fee's, patting you on the head as they pass. You tolerate this, but give them an odd look. Perhaps it is a cultural thing, it would not do to offend them. Thankfully, they do not seem to require you to return the gesture, as they are quite a bit taller than you. As they leave, you also notice a human glancing distastefully at the turian, before returning their focus to you briefly. The man walked in with a fake looking limp earlier before seating himself just out of view of the receptionist. If not for your own abilities and the reflective surface of a metallic crutch to your side you might not have noticed them earlier either.

It occurs to you suddenly that this person seems rather suspicious, more so when after a few moments observation they get up and leave without a word, limp absent, following the Turian a short ways out the main doors before going off down a side alley. Immediately after, the doors shut and obscure the street from your sight.

You frown slightly.

[] Follow the human, they won't have gotten far, and although they keep themselves fairly calm, their odd manner makes them vaguely distinct. Your physical and mental prowess should enable you to tail them.

[] Ignore the human, instead familiarize yourself with this clinic. It is the place your Master will most often be. If it is threatened, you must know every strength and every weakness of this place.

[] Chat with the receptionist, she's been glancing at you in concern every so often and perhaps if you make it clear you are not lost she will be appeased. Also, perhaps she knows of this 'Archangel' that the turian spoke of.

[] ???

Edit: Fine, changing vote. I still think we should keep tabs on the guy just in case.

Fall of Archangel's squad? That turian might be Sidonis, pre-betrayal. The Blue Suns are going to corner him, forcing him to betray the squad.

Renegade Interrupt?

EDIT: Commander Shepard comes to Omega> Welcomed by Garrus and a full squad> WAR ASSETS> Mordin AND Garrus vouching for Puru 8
=Recruitment?

EDIT: Vote Changed

Not so sure following them is a good idea remember we're completely unarmed and without any kind of protection, or even means of communication.

Edit: Qwaar Liked my post sweet!

Save the Sidonis, Save Archangel's Squad.

http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Garrus:_Eye_for_an_Eye

In-game, Sidonis mentions being cornered by Blue Suns mercenaries and forced to leak details of an op, leading to Garrus and co. walking into a reverse ambush. All but Sidonis and Garrus die. This looks like the initial cornering of Sidonis, Puru 8 can prevent this entire debacle from happening.

And following a mercenary down a dark alley without any weapons will help...how?
