I think we may have different definitions for "reviving the dead."
Possibly. For it to qualify as "straight-up revival" needs the subject to A) have died, and B) been returned to life after that fact. That means retcon shenanigans are out.
And Homucifer's barrier is a lie wrapped within a dream wrapped within an illusion, and everything that happens within the place where reality is maintained and kept consistent solely by a single girl high off her own grief is, to put it lightly, incredibly suspect. Especially when applied to a reality that isn't reliant on someone tripping balls to ensure that up is not down and 2+2 does not equal 37.

Apology accepted. Sorry as well.

Straight up reviving the dead is something neither Madokami nor Homucifer ever did, and we are explicitly weaker than The Devil.
Except even if her lungs just completely shut down (as opposed to just falling unconscious as the preamble to death), we still have half a minute before she starts suffering brain damage; fixing her is still well within the realm of magical healing. It might be expensive in terms of Grief, but that's not a problem we have.

Seriously, being decapitated isn't immediately fatal; compared to that, this woman's case of Ambiguous Cancer is nothing.

[X] Quick, fix the woman with magic! WE ARE NOT EQUIPPED TO DEAL WITH CHILDREN ALONE.

Well, Madoka is able to revive the dead with her Timeline 1 wish. It's not that hard, since Kyubey can grant any wish and I'm sure dead-revivals aren't very rare.

But hey, Word of God has spoken.

Uh, yea. Which is why I said that Word of God already shot it down.

I was just annoyed by the rhetoric that using magic to revive the dead is impossible or requires godlike powers because that's baseless bullshit refuted by a perfectly ordinary Magical Girl of a lower power level than Sayaka.

It technically impossible outside of a wish, Mostly cause human's have souls and when dead souls will disappear, thus causing the person to not be reachable via normal reviving. unlike say a cat which saddly does not have souls in pmmm, (which is of course not true in real world;)).

Uhhh... Okay, except they DO. Usagi from Kazumi Magica can talk to her cat's ghost and have it possess people as part of her power-set, and a Magical Girl could conceivably have the magical power to call forth souls even if only on a temporary basis.

There is no support for anything you're saying.

Outside of wishes targeted at doing just that, it kinda is.

well witches have the power to take the souls of people they kill and turn them into servants/familiars, which is probably how Godoka does it too.

A witch kills a human can make a familiar, undeniable canon, A familiar that kills 5 (or is it 10?) humans turns into a witch. Soul gems/grief seeds contain soul sustain (the soul gem holds one soul thus what they turn into should still hold Soul). The reason why familiar can turn into witches is cause they eat enough soul stuff to form a witch, magical Girls have greater soul mass then most humans, thus witches have soul mass, however so do regular people, thus witches take the soul mass of the people they kill and turn it into a familiar that then attempts to gain enough soul mass to form a witch, simple life force isn't enough or one could farm familiars by using animals. Ps having watched only the anime and movies I may be incorrect however based on what I have seen everything above should be correct. If not then please inform me.

This is pretty much true of any magic that isn't witch detection, transformation, weapon conjuration, telepathy, body modification, or enchantment, to be fair.

It's almost like PMMM magic is wishes turned into effects on causality.

Alternative answer: The Familiar is eating enough Grief and suffering that it's able to just straight up grow a clone of it's mother's soul due to an alchemical process allowing it to gain qualia through concentrated anguish.

Grief can only be generated via souls thus it may just eat the souls because they hold grief.

Consuming grief out of killed victims doesn't mean it's absorbing 'soul mass' though. Familiars are basically glorified Grief constructs programmed to behave in lifelike ways, capable of earning their own souls by pushing themselves into having awareness through absorbing sufficient amounts of suffering.

The exact method of this process is a total mystery.

Y'know, I'm fairly certain none of the debates in this quest have been about the actual course to take in the quest. They've all been at least some degree of off topic.

We should get a doctor or something.

[x] Grab the woman and run through the building looking for someone who practices medicine.

[X] … Comfort the girl?

Welp... We're probably gonna Fuck this up, BUT I SAY WE CHARGE!

This is SV on PMMM, what did you expect?
If you want it to stop, put your foot down when it happens, and people'll learn in short order.
