…Damn, Tatsuya is going to feel utterly betrayed when he realises that the same person who used to care for him eventually forgot him and left him to rot, and why not? Afterall, one could infer that Homura's attentiveness towards Tatsuya was faked, and only was nice to him to get closer to Madoka herself.

On a different note, does Tatsuya subconciously remembers Madoka's circle of friends like Sayaka, Hitomi or Mami?

I'll Word of God somethings since it probably isn't going to come up. First is that the Devil really did care about him in the beginning as well as the rest of Madoka's family. They were more of a family to her than her own parents. Same with the other girls in the beginning. She genuinely tried to make them happy as well as Madoka. But over time the Devil's mind deteriorated and her obsession with Madoka grew and slowly all other things ceased to matter. After a hundred years even Madoka's own happiness isn't important to her, only that she has Madoka with her.

On the second thing: of Madoka's friends Tatsuya only has vauge memories of Sayaka, Hitomi and the Devil. he'll recognize Hitomi if he meets her and he already recognized Sayaka but he will never actually recognize the earlier version of the Devil for gameplay reasons. .

    • Talking to people, trying to get them to trust you, it's not something you ever had reason to try before coming back to the past but it's been working so far so you decide to try it with the white girl as well. Step one is to appear non-threatening as possible. She's done a good job of covering it up but there's no mistaking that first flash of fear. Unfortunately you don't actually know how to appear non-threatening. You suppose keeping your hands where she can see them is a good start.

    You slowly raise your hands to the sides, keeping your hands open to show that you don't have any weapons. "I'm Tatsuya. I'm not going to hurt you. I just sensed your magic and I was curious."

    The girl in white doesn't say anything so you continue. "I'm sorry if I scared you. I'm new around here. Could you tell me about yourself?"

    The girl in white keeps silent. You guess she's thinking about your question. You give her time and eventually she speaks again. "I am willing to answer you questions but only if you answer mine first. Is that acceptable?"
