[] "I understand. I will stay and await further orders."
-[] "What should I do if I am attacked or forced out?"
-[] Apologize for attacking Kazumi before they leave. It was not her fault, and you shouldn't have lost it like that.
You met Sai's gaze and nodded, "I understand. I will stay and await further orders."
"It's good that you do understand," Sai nodded as she regarded you with a judgemental look.
"What should I do if I am attacked or forced out?" You asked her with a wary tone.
"You may fight. But flee if you must," Sai replied just as firmly, "Kazumi has secured the place away from her fellow's eyes and influence. You should be grateful."
"That I am," you said as you lowered your head. You then turned your eyes to Kazumi as she noticeably flinched at your gaze, "I apologize for attacking you. It... Wasn't your fault. I shouldn't have lost it like before."
Kazumi gave you a surprised look but said nothing as she faced Sai, "I can direct you to some people... That can help you. You should lie low while moving through."
"We'll keep that in mind," Sai replied as she nodded, "The information you gave is useful. I really appreciate it, Kaz."
"It's fine. I owe you after all," Kazumi replied as she got up, "I'll be going now. Umika and Kaori will probably start wondering where I am."
"Right. We have some things to settle here as well," Sai stated as she shot you a look. You winced as if you had been pinned to the wall.
Kazumi bowed and said her goodbyes before leaving out the door. She spared you one last look, a worried one, before Madoka shut the door after her.
Sai and Reika remained seated before the former spoke.
"Yukina. In front," Sai ordered in the same unnaturally hard tone. She hasn't returned to normal yet. You didn't like her being this way.
You did as she told you and ended up standing before her and Reika. Sai leaned forward and brought her hands together.
"Yukina... We have to talk," she began calmly as Reika glared daggers at you with her arms crossed. Fortunately the older girl took the lead, "I'll admit, you put is in quite the situation. One I would have thought you wouldn't incite."
"I'm sorry," you apologized.
"I know. You were upset. It was something you were unfamiliar with and I admit I could have done better in helping you," Sai swallowed as disappointment dripped from her words, "But I could have at least hoped you to do better too."
"We don't know what Kazumi's next move is. And after that poor show, she might now be as open to helping us than before," Reika added as she stared you down, "Honestly, what the hell?"
"I'm sorry," you uttered again.
"Yukina. I know you can do better and be better. That's why I'm willing to look past what you did. But I cannot just stand aside and not let you carry a lesson for that," Sai said as she looked at you hard, "I know you're capable and that you're a good girl. I can't expect you to be perfect. But I want you to have some measure of control."
"I'm sorry," you murmured once more.
"I don't need your apology, I need you to promise. Don't be like that with others again. It's not just for our sake but for yours too... It's good that you apologized to Kazumi but... You scared her," Sai pointed out as she gave you that look. That look of disappointment.
You could feel needles sinking in your flesh. You lowered your head. Your mistake.
"That said, it's your first real offense. Reika and I won't say anything to Kaguya. But we will if Kazumi ends up passing a note along to the Boss," Sai told you as she got up and crossed her arms, "I hope you understand what you did."
"I do. I'm sorry," you replied as you clenched your fist in regret.
Sai managed a small smile and pat your shoulder, "Then I hope you'll abide by Kazumi's conditions. We'll be leaving."
You blinked in surprise as Reika got up too and moved past you. You turned to look at them and ask, "Why... Where are you going?"
"Out. Just so we can leave this city faster and get somewhere else," Reika said as she glanced at you, "We'll be fine. So stay here. We'll be back in a few hours."
"I..." You turned as Madoka nudged your side.
Her muffled voice came from inside her mask, "I'll keep an eye on them."
You grimaced at that as your three companions left for the door. Sai waved at you goodbye before shutting the door. You felt a spike of magic as you found that the door had been sealed. It was most likely Madoka's work.
You reached out for the doorknob and winced once it sparked. No getting out, huh? A shame.
Well... It seems like you're stuck by yourself for now. You walked to the sofa and sat there. You waited.
.....

...
Once you opened your eyes, you found that you were lying on sand. You must have dozed off if you were were here in your mindscape. You felt a chill behind your back as you pushed yourself off the ground and dodged.
A gear fell right on top of where you were. This was followed by another which struck you square on the head-

You woke up. Blinking weakly, you opened your eyes to find that the sky had turned orange at some point. The sound of the doorbell rang through the bare safehouse before you fell down the sofa.
Rising up, you staggered to the front door. You felt for your forehead as you looked through the hole of the door. There was no one there. You then heard knocking on the balcony's glass door to find someone there.
You recognized her by her long black hair and red eyes. It seemed that she was the one responsible for the knocking.
Kazumi raised a plastic bag and waved at you with a small but friendly smile. You stared at her before walking over and unlocking the glass doors. Kazumi peered inside past you before speaking.
"Are they still gone?" She asked brightly with a curious tone.
"They've yet to return. Did you need something?" You asked her back in your normal monotone.
Kazumi raised her plastic bag, "Let me cook you something!"
You were left confused before she wore a determined look on her face. You stepped aside to let her in. Kazumi immediately conquered the kitchen and got to work. It seemed like this was going to take a bit.
.....

...
You didn't say anything or do anything while the other girl was working. You simply waited by the table as she finished up and served you the food on a plate. It was pasta covered in white sauce. It had an interesting smell as you looked down on it.
Kazumi waited by the side with her apron as she stared at you in anticipation. You didn't detect any poison in it. She wasn't trying to kill you at least, not that poisons would work on you anyway.
You took a bit of the pasta and twirled your fork. Taking a bite, you were hit by a delightful flavor with the force of a speeding truck. You were stunned before you ended up finishing your plate. Clean... There was nothing left.
"That's a relief," Kazumi sighed as you looked up from your empty plate, "I'm glad you finished it."
"What... Is this for?" You asked her with a confused tone.
"I wanted to apologize. For earlier," Kazumi admitted as she fidgeted where she stood, "I... Must have done something wrong to make you feel that way. And I want to make things right. So... I was hoping this will make you feel better."
You studied her face as your eyes widened slightly, "I... I should be the one apologizing."
"No. Umika must have said some mean things to you. It must be why you were like that. Umika is my friend you see but she's just lookin out for the city. I want to apologize for what she said to you," Kazumi said as she bowed her head. She let out a shaky breath, "It must have hurt, right? I... I can't make her take her words back but I was hoping you can forgive her."
She was apologizing for her friend's sake? Even after you attacked her? She came all this way to apologize and cook you food.
"Why... Why after what I did to you, would you do this?" You asked her with a heavy tone.
Kazumi raised her head in surprise before chuckling at herself, "I think we just got off the wrong foot. And I think we can do better. Besides, anyone who doesn't leave anything on their plate can't be a bad person."
You raised your eyebrows before looked down your plate, "It was delicious. Thank you."
"I'm glad," Kazumi smiled brightly, "Well... I should introduce myself again. My name is Subaru Kazumi. I'm a 3rd year in Asunaro public Middle School. I like cooking and sewing. You can call me Kazumi if you like. Nice to meet you."
