Peace Was Never an Option
At a certain bar in a certain town was a young woman. The glasses before her were filled by amber colored alcohol as the ice floated upwards like shining jewels among the foam. The bar was quiet, devoid of customers as the night had deepened while soft jazz drifted through the air.

The girl's hair was white as snow in contrast to her eyes which twinkled like rubies. Her hands were gentle and delicate as she inspected the glasses she filled before picking up one and brought it close to her eye, watching the consistency of the liquid and how the composition of the drink mingled with each other.

At this moment, the girl was refining her craft but at the same time, mixing drinks became a form of meditation for her. It helped her focus and provide great quality to drinks she mixes through the weeknights that came and went.

To provide comfort and ease to the weary souls that found her Haven, that was her sole responsibility as a Bartender. She was in the zone of tranquil peace, peace which nothing could br-

BANG

"Fal! We came by for drinks!" A familiar voice cheered as she kicked down the door.

-break.

The bartender named Fal stared at the glasses she held and simply downed it, preparing herself mentally for this battle. Setting down the glass, the bartender turned to her newest pair of guests for the night.

"Yukina, Reika, good evening. Welcome to Bar Haven," Fal greeted them as Reika followed after her senior.

"Senpai, you can't just kick doors down!" Reika hissed as she grabbed the older girl before her. Her blue hair swayed in a ponytail behind her as she held on to Yukina with her prosthetic arm.

Yukina laughed as she waved it off, fixing her hazel brown hair and saying, "We can just fix it with magic! Besides, Fal doesn't mind."

"I sort of do," Fal admitted with a grimace.

"See! She's fine with it," Yukina huffed as she fixed her scarf and placed a hand on her hip.

"Stop ignoring me," Fal sighed as she remained expressionless. She pinched the bridge of her nose and asked, "Yukina, Reika, what brings you here?"

"Well, we were in town and I decided to treat Reika for dinner! Well, we already ate some some drinks would be nice," Yukina said as she snapped her fingers and filled the broken door with blue magic.

It soon attached itself together and pulled itself back together. Fal could only watch as the once broken ¥50k mahogany door was put back together by magic. She felt like she should reinforce that thing.

"Senpai! We didn't have to. Besides, we might be bothering Fal here," Reika said as she had an uncomfortable look.

"Peace was never an option. Sit, I'll mix something for the two of you," Fal offered as she got her instruments out. Yukina took her seat while Reika sat beside her senior.

"Business has been booming, huh?" Yukina smiled as she leaned on the table, "I hope you're not swamping yourself with work."

"It's only been two months, this place is still hidden and not all too famous. The occasional traffic is appreciated," Fal replied as she crossed her arms.

"Nice to see you adjusting. Yuri has been a handful back home," Yukina said as she giggled.

Fal managed a small smile at her twin, "I bet she is. Now I assume you two haven't had dessert?"

"I was thinking of something sweet tonight," Yukina said as she elbowed Reika, "Wouldn't you say?"

"H-Huh? Oh, sure? Make no mistakes, Fal, we'll be leaving soon. So if you could just hurry it up, then that would be great," Reika said as she tapped her fake forearm.

Yukina looked aghast by this, "Reika! How could you? Especially after you seemed super dejected when Fal decided on leaving Kyoto, aren't you happy to see her again?"

"It's only been two months," Fal pointed out.

"That's practically years!" Yukina said as she raised her hands, "Especially for someone thinking about you every day."

"I do not think of her every day!" Reika choked as her ears turned red.

"Okay, then maybe every night~," Yukina teased as she leaned close to her junior.

"Senpai!" Reika squeaked as she smacked Yukina across the face and that was with the prosthesis too.

Fal sighed as she began to work on the drinks. They just had dinner so probably something good for digestion. Fal took out her container of Crème de Cacao and Crème de menthe. This should work out. She popped open her shaker and poured an ounce of each into the shaker as briskly and delicately as possible.

The two girls were still bickering as she took an ounce of cream and a few cubes of ice and dropped them on the shaker too. Once the ingredients were in, she sealed it off and began to shake it with measured force before slamming it in the counter.

Yukina and Reika yelped before she took two glasses and poured them each their drink.

"Grasshopper. Sweet, minty and creamy. Perfect for after dinner meals," Fal presented them as she held one glass up and offered it to Reika, "This should calm your nerves from Yukina's teasing."

Reika met Fal's red eyes and was at a loss for words. She managed to choke out a couple from her throat as she held the glass in her hand, "T-Thanks."

"Ho? Look at how smooth that was. I know I brought you here for your sake, but this does make me a little jealous," Yukina giggled as she took in the minty scent of her drink. She then held out her glass to her junior, "Aren't you a lucky girl, being in the company of two beauties?"

"It certainly pays to be the Captain of Southern Kyoto," Fal noted as she poured herself her own drink.

"Luck has nothing to do with it! Stop teasing me, you two!" Reika hissed as she gingerly held her glass while beet red.

Fal and Yukina glanced at one another, cracking smiles at the same time. The sight was enough for Reika to flush as the twins clinked their drinks against hers.

"The bullying never ends," Yukina giggled as her blue eyes twinkled.

"And peace was never an option," Fal chuckled while a mischievous glint escaped her red eyes.

"Yukina, Reika, good evening. Welcome to Bar Haven," you greeted them as Reika followed after her senior.
too much questing? xP

Thanks for writing! (And losing a bet? I guess? And/or thanks to whoever set this as the terms?)

I won the bet.

Yukina is raising flags between Reika and Fal because she's a filthy shipper.

Rabbit is also setting himself up to lose another bet.

I love the half-adversarial relationship Fal has with her original. "Peace was never an option" indeed.
