First Umika and Kaoru's hostility, then Kazumi encouraging us to break our probation, now this, delivered directly and specifically to us.
I think Yukina is being goaded here, someone is trying to make us cause an incident.
Also we should pass along the 'preserved' remark to Kaito since that's a pretty on the nose direction that our friends have been stuck in the freezer.

This has escalated very quickly. Okay, we should definitely do a more thorough check of the body, and wait for Kaito. If someone could take on all three of those girls, we're going to need all the help we can get. But as I say that, I don't know if we can trust Kazumi. They'd need a mind reader to get where Yukina is out of them, and Kazumi was the only other one who knew where we were. Plus I'm getting very suspicious of that suit.

I honestly think the Pleiades remnants are behind this, first it was the evil nuts, but the note suggests that the freezer is in use as well. I think they're either trying to fuck with Yukina to some unspecified end, or trying to declare war on our faction using our lashing out as a pretext.
Our best move right now is to wait, play politics, and act as a coordinator and assistant for our own team. Don' give Them any excuse to pin anything on us.

Yukina is suppose to be outside the city, and the way Umika phrased it, the rest of our crew were also kicked out. Trying to raise a stink over this and bringing more people in is going to incite a worse incident that whoever's behind this can use just as easily as Yukina kicking down doors looking for her friends.

That's me making a Derp, for some reason I keep mentally adding her. I don't know where I pulled her name from. Removed.
Yukina is outside the city as I understand it, or at least at the very outskirts. The rest of our crew though? I don't think they were denied entry as long as we weren't with them, and given they've gone missing we absolutely have a right to bring people in to find them.
If Umika wants a war, then she'll get a war either way, but this way we can make her unambiguously the aggressor and get other factions to support us against her.

You didn't stop looking over Reika's person yet. You went through her dress and jacket pockets to take out her wallet and grief seeds. They weren't taken from her so why? Was her gem the only thing missing? You touched her hand and she felt cold. So cold that it felt...
Unnatural.
You looked back at her face and inspected her closely. Her jaw was looking at bit funny. You frowned as you held her jaw and opened her lips. You saw the glint of her soul gem inside, just sitting on top of her tongue.
"Sorry," you breathed before you took it out. It was darkening fast. You picked up a grief seed and used it to cleanse her gem.
The corruption soon left the bauble before showing a vibrant dark blue glow. Reika's eyes lit up then and she coughed out spit from her throat. She gasped for air before holding her hand on her chest.
She turned to you and grabbed on to your clothes.
"Kazumi. It's Kazumi. She ambushed us," Reika breathed as she grit her teeth.
You held her steady as you frowned, "Ambushed? How could she? You mean yesterday?"
"Of course I meant yesterday! Why do you think... It's the Pleiades! It's them! They got Madoka and Sai!" Reika snapped at you as she held your shoulders.
"Slow down! I'm trying to make sense of what happend here! F-First we need to calm down," you told her as you held her hand-
It was dusk and the exploration of the Freezer's former location proved fruitless. Sai and Madoka reacted first by raising a shield as they got out of the ruined toy museum only to have it shatter.
Several magical girls descended then led by one clad in black. Beneath the sunset, Kazumi looked down at your friends as a battle broke out.
You jerked away and held your head. That's impossible. Dusk... That was the same time Kazumi was here in this apartment. And who were those girls with her? You're... You didn't recognize them.
Reika stared at you as you met her gaze, "This... Is impossible. Kazumi was here yesterday. We... We reconciled almost the same time you were attacked."
"She was here?! But how's that possible. She can't be at two places at once!" Reika hotly insisted as you began to think.
That may be the case but... What if she could? In fact if you recalled what she told you yesterday... She...
"But they did it. They created life. They created me... But I'm the 13th iteration. The 13th Kazumi. They've done too much, killed so many, sacrificed their minds until they crumbled from within."
What happened to the others? Kazumi never specified what happened to the first 12... Or if there was a 14th clone. The timing of it seemed off. Was there another Kazumi slowly building up disasters much like the Assassin was in Kyoto?
And not only that but with the same modus as the Pleiades of old.
"Yukina. We have to go get Sai and Madoka. I... I don't know why I'm here but there's most likely a trap ready to spring on us," Reika warned you as she stood on her unsteady feet.
"No. Someone's trying to fool me," you murmured as you glanced at her, "If Kazumi didn't come here yesterday, I would have believed you. This was deliberate."
"What does it matter? Our friends are in danger! You can play detective later!" Reika hissed as she tried pulling you.
"To what end though?" You asked her as you wrenched your hand away, "If you told me about Kazumi, I would have turned hostile to her. I would have fought her and then what? What's the point of sending your supposed dead body here to rile me up?"
"I... I don't know," Reika breathed as she tried to calm down.
"I have a bad feeling," you decided as you crossed your arms, "We have to stay. Kaito's coming. He can provide help."
"I... He's coming?" Reika blinked in surprise.
"Sai made it so he'll help us if anything happened to her," you explained as you shook your head, "He ordered me to stay and I think we should meet up with him. For now, can you tell me what you found out?"
"I... It's the Freezer. It's active again," Reika said as she grimaced.

Reika wasn't so sure about this. Leaving Yukina behind like that didn't sit well with her. It wasn't for any reason or anything but she could feel that Sai was putting up a strong front at that. Whether she admitted to it or not, she had a soft spot for that little punch thug.
She then glanced at the combat equipped Magical girl. If one could even call the mysterious gas mask girl that. Sai seemed to be wary of her but Yukina was more than amicable with the stranger. It seemed that they got involved with the last incident enough that they formed an unlikely alliance.
The three of them were investigating the ruins of the broken down toy museum. It was where the famous Freezer was once located and they didn't really expect much from going there. Unfortunately things turned elsewhere the further they got in.
"Can you feel that?" Madoka asked as she looked around, "It's faint... The magical energy in the air is present but faint."
"This place was abandoned after being demolished. Were Kaoru and Umika not thorough?" Sai asked with a frown.
Reika inspected the ground and felt a reaction with her finger, "No. It seems like it's been repaired. The remaining Pleiades wouldn't have any reason to come back here if they truly regret their actions. This would make the place ripe to be occupied."
"Well then, why don't we... Take a tour?" Madoka asked as she stood before a hidden passage leading down.
Sai and Reika looked down the passage while Madoka pulled the slide of her Desert Eagle, "I'll take point."
Transforming, Sai nodded as she turned to Reika, "Watch our backs?"
"Worst decision ever. I might just skewer you," Reika griped as the three girls stepped into the darkness.
The stairway was long and seemed to lead deeper underground than one would expect. Eventually they came out to a large room deep underground. Madoka flipped down a power box and lit up the place. Lights illuminated the area and provided a good view of their surroundings.
Madoka held up her gun and pointed it at the tubes that remained intact on the side. Signs of fighting had occurred here but they were old. Probably a couple years old.
Sai held her revolver up as Reika stared in awe at the room. Right on the very center was a pile of... Evil Nuts.
"Someone was fixing this place," Sai frowned as she narrowed her gaze.
"So this is the infamous Pleiades hideout. Can't say I'm impressed," Madoka murmured in distaste.
"Someone was making use of the facilities in secret," Reika growled as she kept her hand on her sword.
"Yes. But who? Yukina would be able to discern the culprit," Sai said as she inspected the Evil Nuts on the basin before her.
Madoka stared down at the nuts and shook her head, "This isn't where they're being manufactured... Security was too lax and there was no stopping us. It's almost like someone wants us to find this place."
"Destroy these," Sai ordered as she turned, "We have to warn Kazumi."
Reika tensed and turned to slash her blade behind her. A teddy bear?
Her eyes had enough time to register an explosive inside it before she dashed away from the blast. Reika knelt down the ground as Sai caught her back.
"Time to go," Sai hissed as she fired her revolver at the ceiling and punched through it.
Reika moved to jump out of the hole and reach the top, cutting the area around her to make it safe. She landed on the first floor before she turned to see a girl on the front door.
Sai and Madoka escaped the basement as Reika ran forward, "Wait!"
Dusk settled in the sky as the girl stopped. Wearing an oriental kimono dyed in black and bearing spider lilies for pattern, she turned her crimson gaze to pin Reika with her eyes alone.
"We are... Pleiades," the girl bearing Kazumi Subaru's face declared as four other Magical Girls descended.
A dark bullet tore through the air as Sai and Madoka blocked it at once.
"Sai. Madoka. Get Yukina. I'll hold them of here!" Reika declared as she and Sai exchanged looks.
Sai clicked her tongue, "Don't die!"
Madoka slammed her palm into the ground then. A whirl of pink lightning erupted from the ground leaving Reika on her own.
Kazumi and the Pleiades stared down on Reika as she glowed blue, "Slay All... SEVERENCE!"

Reika grimaced as she finished her story. The Pleiades Saints were... Revived? The reports said that they had been all killed in an incident but Reika claimed that they were alive and breathing... And that Kazumi was leading them.
Sai and Madoka were missing but not captured. Something was keeping them from meeting you. You grimaced as you got up from the ground and stood up straight. This new Pleiades Saints, it seems like they want to collapse Asunaro from within.
You have to find your friends.
"Yukina, what's your next move?" Reika asked as she leaned on the wall.

Revived Pleiades huh? I'd normally guess GriefBorne using their bodies, but the teddy bear is specifically one of their powers, and last I checked, griefborne don't have the same powers as their magical girl selves when made from a magical girl...
Might be a coincidence, or there's a longer game afoot.
We might also want to try calling Umika, if there's a doppelgänger of Kazumi about, there might be one of her too. It's not impossible.

I think it was mentioned earlier in the quest, but one of the characters was theorizing that with time, Yukina might be able to use the magical girl abilities of the dead Yukina, so it isn't impossible.
That said, this looks like a super neat quest. Lemme throw my vote in!

A year ago, Bar Sanctuary
Business was slowing down as the night wore on, Sai sipped a bit more of her drink while looking down her phone. Kaito was cleaning some glasses to make them sparkle before inspecting them a bit more closely. It was a common scene to catch at the bar if one would step in.
Christmas decorations were strung up overhead as the old jukebox played a modern rendition of jingle bells. It brought about a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The regulars approved of the place adopting a more festive mood so Kaito left it as is.
Touko was taking inventory for the food at the back and it was just quiet. Very quiet.
Well at least until the door opened.
"Merry Christmas!" A girl cheered brightly making Sai snort whiskey through nose and Kaito raise his eyebrows.
Sai groaned as she blinked tears away from her eyes, "Shit. Goddammit, we keep telling you not to do that!"
The girl stepped in her white parka and red santa hat, dragging a huge sack of presents with her, "Well it's the last time for this year! Besides, you guys should be making some more noise."
"If we did, we'd be getting complaints from the other tenants," Kaito sighed as he set down his glass, "You should be in Hokkaido with your sister. What are you doing here?"
"Well our trip got delayed so I decided to go around playing Santa," the girl replied as she tossed a glass of Jack Daniels at Sai, "Merry Christmas!"
Sai caught the bottle with her reflexes and choked, "These are expensive! Don't throw them!"
"I'm sorry is this some peasant joke I'm too rich to understand?" The girl asked with a smirk.
"Don't use your parents' money for things you're just going to throw around," Kaito sternly reprimanded her.
"Geez. Here, this is for you," the girl handed him a pair of glasses, "You know how Sai likes her intellectual men."
"Hey!" Sai griped from the side.
"She does. If only to cancel out her sheer stupidity," Kaito smiled as he nodded to the girl, "I'll pay you back."
The girl smiled before yelling, "Touko! Come out I got presents for you!"
The maroon haired girl slipped out of the back and raised an eyebrow, "Oh. You didn't have to, you know?"
"Well I wanted to," the girl shrugged as she handed Touko her present, "It's a pair of headphones! They have nice some nice sound quality to them."
"Yes, but why the cat ears?" Touko asked with a frown.
"Well that's for me," The girl giggled as she slung her presents over her shoulder.
"Hey, you want anything? Or are you just going to leave?" Kaito frowned as he raised an eyebrow.
"Nope! More presents to deliver! Bye!" The girl rushed off out the door.
Sai got up and yelled, "Hey! Yukina! Geez. That girl, she's got no chill."
"Sounding more and more like an old lady, Sai," Touko noted as she inspected her present.
Kaito put on his glasses and smirked to the girls, "How do I look?"
"Classy," Sai snapped her fingers.
"Like a fucking nerd," Touko scoffed.
Kaito sighed and looked out the bar's window to see the snow fall.
Business was slowing down as the night wore on, Sai sipped a bit more of her drink while looking down her phone. Kaito was cleaning some glasses to make them sparkle before inspecting them a bit more closely. It was a common scene to catch at the bar if one would step in.
Christmas decorations were strung up overhead as the old jukebox played a modern rendition of jingle bells. It brought about a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The regulars approved of the place adopting a more festive mood so Kaito left it as is.
Touko was taking inventory for the food at the back and it was just quiet. Very quiet.
Well at least until the door opened.
"Merry Christmas!" A girl cheered brightly making Sai snort whiskey through nose and Kaito raise his eyebrows.
Sai groaned as she blinked tears away from her eyes, "Shit. Goddammit, we keep telling you not to do that!"
The girl stepped in her white parka and red santa hat, dragging a huge sack of presents with her, "Well it's the last time for this year! Besides, you guys should be making some more noise."
"If we did, we'd be getting complaints from the other tenants," Kaito sighed as he set down his glass, "You should be in Hokkaido with your sister. What are you doing here?"
