So, this might be some idealistic speculation, but given Haguro's status as "dead" (and no crew) which was reversable with enough repair, - i.e death and resurrection didn't kill her memories etc - what exactly stops them from searching for and finding any dead SHIPS, for example Encounter and Boise?
As long as they're relatively intact (or whatever that means for a SHIP) wouldn't it be the same as refloating a real ship?
You'd obviously need to find them which would be extremely difficult, and then bring them up (with the strength of SHIPS this is far more feasible than you'd think).
As a sidenote regarding this, what happens to a Ship Spirit (not a SHIP, still hull-bound) that goes 5 miles away from the ship.. underwater?
If that's possible they could scout the bottom of most of the ocean floor.
