Petals of Titanium -- My Life as a Mecha Setting Bridge Bunny Quest

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Honestly.

I really don't care to protect these people anymore.

by all indications, these people deserve to lose. That their enemy is worse doesn't seem to mitigate the existence of such a profoundly shitty culture, to the point that the few decent people no longer make me want to expend effort following their apparently futile attempts to survive.

I mean, I don't agree in this case, but i know the feeling.

It's how I feel about the Game of Thrones and How to Get Away With Murder TV shows.

(I don't want these terrible people to get away with murder. I want at least half of them to go to jail.)

Hmm. A tall blonde named Lori, who's an adept with weapons and tactics that most others wouldn't even contemplate using? Don't tell me: she's The Boss. :drevil:

Great update. The callout had just enough cringe to let us know we went a bit far, but not too much for us to really regret it - much like Amani feels, it appears. Also the conversation throughout our little date was just generally awesome.

Also, guys... I realize that our side may be infested with terrible people, but do we really want to end up under the rule of His Divine Majesty, Warrior Space Pope?

[X] Sol, no!
I live for this twice as bright, half as long kind of thing.

I'm sorry, I actually don't know what you're referencing. I'll level with you -- it was originally going to be "Ana" until I fully imagined the hell of trying to write a story in which two major characters are named Ana and Anja.

I'm glad you liked that section, though.

Dang, really? It seemed so perfect. There was even an illicit lesbian love affair involved!

First Li and Lee, now Anja and Ana. This poor ensign's been cursed by her heritage in more ways than one!

I like Perbeck, and I want to see more of her, especially in a relationship with Anja.

The question for me is between No and Sol! No. Slow and steady is the way to win, and going fast might be a death flag, however, an unusual pace in the relationship might be worth it. What to do...

...

Sol!No feels more dramatic, let's do it.

[X] Sol, no!

[X] No.

I'm hopeful that at one point, the exploited peasants of both sides decide to rebel, turning this into a three way war. Obviously that'd be an even bloodier war as it's likely there'll be even less quarter given, but at least then the peasants get to be awful too.
