Overlord: Genesis

*does a spit take* who did our grandfather piss off to go from Duke to Baron!? And by the skin of his teeth too! I thought it was misfortune or something but apparently the thing that caused the meteoric fall of our family was that dear old Grandpa had an NTR fetish. …This sounds pretty realistic.
Your grandfather was not only charismatic but also genuinely enjoyed being with his partners and making sure they enjoyed themselves too. He was also a widower. Most of his peers were of the more traditional mindset about how things between husbands and wives worked and only cared that they had an heir and a spare before finding other amusements. So you have a lot of unsatisfied wives with husbands that were aloof at best. And a charming man who lost the woman that he loved dearly and being open to comfort. As for who he pissed off... well you were never given the full list, but you know that if your grandfather had ever set foot back in Heaven's Peak he likely would have been hung. And yes, at least one woman in the crowd would have made the obvious joke at his sentencing. There is also the possibility that the Church considered his conduct to be an embarrassment to one of the Holy Cities of the Kingdom of Light, and as such cooperated with his enemies to get him removed to Spree.

Oh, so he was the local fireman. Grandad, you old dog you.

Considering the lack of knowledge involving reproductive health and contraceptives during this era how many people are related to is due to grandfather

When I first read it I read 'Alastor' and wondered how an Overlord of Hell managed to get together with Ruby Rose.

Oh god a book smart ruby rose would be terrifying, if she got SI'd into this verse and an overlord of hell went on a warrior vacation?

If anything I'm guessing they got banished or plane shifted.

Cause unless it was a super big bad abd they had all the debuffs I don't see it going well for them.

The big bad that is.

Well, did the rolls. And... yeah, it was certainly a turn.
[][Martial]Raiders of the Owlbear Nest

Yeeeeah, not the greatest turn all-round. But you did get the contents of the safe, and contacts with which to sell your other materials you'd already accrued.

3 failures and low rolls in general?

Oof...

Guess we know where last rounds luck came from.

At least the diplomacy one passed. We should be able to sell some of the stuff we've been collecting. And maybe the safe had something good.

Again... oof.

And would it be possible to see what the dice roll was instead of 1d100? I can figure it out by mathing it out but that takes a bit longer.

Apparently we rolled a 2 on the owlbear... ugh.

35 on the safe.

52 on selling stuff.

31 on blackmail.

26 on reading.

30 on magical resources.

And 29 on the personal.

Yeah those are some pretty horrible rolls right there. Only one rolled above average.

This why I wanted to put off 'Ten Foot Pole' for after we set up the outpost. We would have succeeded an easier occult action even with an awful roll like this. Not that I was expecting it to fail…

Shockingly Selene managed to succeed on the most difficult action whereas almost everyone else failed. We even managed to fail the easy Owlbear action. Well we were going to run into some bad luck eventually.

Status Update
Hey guys. I'm sorry that this isn't a proper update. I'm afraid that I've been in a funk fighting for inspiration for the last several weeks, and it wasn't coming. None of my projects have really updated. And today I lost the new job I'd gotten. I'm adjusting my situation pretty heavily; and I'm not sure when things are going to be especially stable again.

However, I can assure you that this project is not dead. Nor are any of my other projects. I will come back to this.

ugh... sorry for all the dead air time guys. Still getting things in line for the new job, and on top of that I'm now sick thanks to one of my co-workers.

I'll be frank, the lack up updates has mostly been due to stress killing my muse. The security gig doesn't really pay enough to deal with my rent and other expenses.

At least not if I want to, you know, *eat*

I promise though that I haven't abandoned this quest; or my others.
