Wow I did not expect that twist. But once it eas shown, man did it make sense. Clever of Twilight to use the guy's "scheme" against him as well as making sure the actual SSS don't interfere (for now...).
Also more Franky and Fiona working together.

Maybe just feels like it, but seems like some focus on Yor? Don't really recall that much from her in the upcoming parts (heck, if we're gonna get Tennis arc, we might be looking at least at 2 episodes barely with her and Anya at all). Though of course, they may add some filler either way.

Yeeaaaah...I agree. I mean, it looks gorgeous, don't get me wrong. But compared to the first opening? It just feels more like what you'd see in other anime. Though I'm not that disappointed simply because I didn't expect the second opening to come even close to the first one. Still like the song though, as this one gives me "good feels" vibes like Comedy but in a more "fun" way, like a kid playing with their parents.

I've seen the idea that it's because many of those shots are from Loid's POV, which I can kinda see (and be extra cute because it'd imply he's with Anya on the merry-go-round).Nah, it's not just you. Yeah, it's most likely her (kinda odd that she's not in more prominently, but then again, only Becky seems to be more featured from the secondary chars). And yeah, her hair color is known at the latest since "her" Manga volume (don't remember if there was any color pic of her before that)

Quite a downgrade when you think that back in the day, people were speculating that it would become his name. (the translators apparently also missed all of the terrorists having "K" names, using "Chris" instead of "Kris" (ed: Also not sure if it was wrong in the Anime or the Manga translation, but I feel Anya explicitly wondering if best boi is also a telepath may throw some people off in regards to his powers (ed2: Just checked the German sub, there it's also still just "special powers", so I guess it's indeed a flub by the English Anime translators))).
- Animation seemed a bit mixed. Still overall good and at times great (like Anya's starlight ride), but also some odd stills (most notably Anya being at an unnatural angle as she's held in the hideout). Hope not a sign that they need to budget more. :/
- Yor's entrance wasn't quite as creepily awesome, but that was kinda to be expected, the b/w and linework is doing a lot there. Still good though.
- They're still don't seem to be willing to split chapters, so I guess that raises the question if they cover 3 chaps next time. I guess they could do 2, and put the last one of the arc together with the next one after, since (Manga spoiler) it still serves to integrate Bond into the family, but it'd be quite some whiplash to go from the end of the arc immediately to school/family shenanigans within the same episode. But Ep11 was kinda similar, so it wouldn't be entirely without precedent...

I definitely get the impression that they really pushed for something unique with "Mixed Nuts" and "Comedy" as the initial opening and ending, because they needed something to hook viewers who hadn't already been readers of the manga, popular as it was...and it gave the show a unique visual identity to open off with. Now that people are 'in', I imagine they were able to go for something a bit more conventionally animated for the 2nd OP and ED.
The tracking shot of the Forger home in the ED was pretty cool, though.
Anyhow, 'Borf' is a good boy. Got a lot of 'cowardly lion' vibes from him.
Also, Loid will probably need to start preparing a cover for the IBS he must be suffering through, given all the times he has to go to the bathroom.

Yeah, if we were going by song alone detached from anything, I may actually even like the second OP a bit more than the first. And certainly there's a lot of very gorgeous shots there. But the first one definitely caught the dual nature of the series more, while this one's pretty much entirely happy family fun time (which is funny since we're starting the cour with arguably the darkest arc until Loid's flashback).
And some of the shots feel kinda random, like the Yor pin-up at the beginning; Loid pulling out his gun feels out of place at that point even with the cut to the shooting gallery; and then of course you have the generic "character running" - like, ok, but why is Anya running through the dark sports hall there? Could at least have her reach for a Stella there to tie it in with something.
Also agree on the ending, it's a neat concept, and of course plenty cute moments, though here the song didn't really catch me yet. May need some repeated viewings there.

FINAL THOUGHTS WITHOUT MANGA SPOILERS
Aaaand we're back babies! And probably the worst possible time for me because now I got this, Chrobin Week 2022 and a for-fun contest (ie there's no prize except bragging righrs) I'm gonna try to participate in on top of everything else I do daily/regularly. But then again I knew I'm insane so no surprise there. But anyways, glad Spy x Family anime is back! And we start off pretty good! And by pretty good I mean: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssss good boi is even more adorable than in the manga aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh. I love his "borfs" so much. XD Other than that, the main body of the anime is keeping up its consistenr quality in animation, voice acting, music and how it's adapting things. The opening and endings on the other hand... I've said this before, but I still like this new opening. Not exactly the same as OP1 and Mixed Nuts, but that's fine. That's not what I expect from BUMP OF CHICKEN. This is just a sweet, feels good, vibe. OP2 on the other hand...music wise, still need to listen to it several times to get proper thoughts, but my first impression is "huh guess they switched the vibes of cour/part 1 for part 2, as in slow but happy vibes for opening instead of ending, and high energy and exciting family time for the ending instead of the opening." I love the visuals though more than OP2. Mainly how it transitions from scene to scene. I am such a sucker for those kinds of transtions. Aaaand...that's all I gotta say. Really forward to next ep! Now let's hope I can keep this pace up...

I forget if I mentioned this, but I am also very fond of this breed. We had our own and he was very socialable.

Medium sized dog with an easy going temperament and short fur for easy maintainance. But probably one that still has a winter coat and thus sheds, since I'm assuming Ostania has winter, so preferably who sheds as little as possible. Because cleaning dog hair can be tiring. That's probably the best. First one that comes to mind is beagle but that's more because I don't remember all the dog breeds I learned of and it's probably not that many anyway.
But that don't matter cuz...White Fluff is here! And she sees his future vision of her, Loid and Yor.
And now I'm wondering how people are gonna react to this more explicit showing of White Fluff's power.

Aaaand we're back babies! And probably the worst possible time for me because now I got this, Chrobin Week 2022 and a for-fun contest (ie there's no prize except bragging righrs) I'm gonna try to participate in on top of everything else I do daily/regularly. But then again I knew I'm insane so no surprise there.
But anyways, glad Spy x Family anime is back! And we start off pretty good! And by pretty good I mean: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssss good boi is even more adorable than in the manga aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh. I love his "borfs" so much. XD Other than that, the main body of the anime is keeping up its consistenr quality in animation, voice acting, music and how it's adapting things. The opening and endings on the other hand... I've said this before, but I still like this new opening. Not exactly the same as OP1 and Mixed Nuts, but that's fine. That's not what I expect from BUMP OF CHICKEN. This is just a sweet, feels good, vibe. OP2 on the other hand...music wise, still need to listen to it several times to get proper thoughts, but my first impression is "huh guess they switched the vibes of cour/part 1 for part 2, as in slow but happy vibes for opening instead of ending, and high energy and exciting family time for the ending instead of the opening." I love the visuals though more than OP2. Mainly how it transitions from scene to scene. I am such a sucker for those kinds of transtions. Aaaand...that's all I gotta say. Really forward to next ep! Now let's hope I can keep this pace up...THOUGHTS WITH MANGA SPOILERS
Basically looking forward to next ep because, if the preview is any indication, we get to see one of my fav scenes from the series: Sylvia talking about the horrors of war to the terrorists. It basically cemented her as one of my favs that I reeeeaaaaally wish will have more screentime.

I kinda wonder/worry if they'll tone it down, since the Anime did that a few times already, with talks of nukes becoming vaguely about just "bombs" or "saving the world". Or even in this episode, they omitted the captured terrorist calling Sylvia a "Westalis whore". But then again, nukes particularly are a sensitive topic not just at the time but in Japan in general, and the latter may have been some embellishment from the Manga translator to begin with for all I know. So I guess we'll see...
