A very interesting premise, looking forward to more of this. Balancing real-world monotheism and fantasy polytheism has potential for some cool belief system emerging.
If someone with one or more magic spells is within 25 Miles of any book of Codex, they can attempt to write one or more of those into their Spell section of the Codex Gygax, provided it is a spell that meets the following conditions:
It either heals, cures, benefits, or resurrects someone other then just Alice.
It cannot be a spell that can be used offensively.
It must be a Cleric Spell, or equivalent to one
It must be of a spell level equal to lower to what it would be if Alice was a Cleric (Currently, that means 2nd Level or Lower)
Every 24 hours, Codex will make an Arcana check, using Alice's Arcana + Codex Bonus (Currently 5). If this passes a DC of 15 + Spell Level, then Codex gains a Success. If they gain Successes equal to three the Spell Level, Codex copies the spell. (Cantrips only need 1 Success). If the spell is a D&D spell, it is transferred. If it is not, then Codex will try to transcribe it as best they can into one. This may create new spells.
Alice must then read and concentrate on the spell for 10 minute each day, per spell, making an Arcana check themselves at the same DC, each time gaining a success. Once Alice gain the same number of Successes as needed to copy the spell, Alice knows the spell. She can cast it for free once per day, regaining all uses at Dusk. She may also cast these spells if she has spell slots, or another way, such as Holy Reservoir.
In addition, Alice learns Thaumaturgy (Cantrip), and may use it without the need for vocal components (except when needed for voice booming)

Rolls Will Now Be Given for everyone with Cleric or Cleric Adjacent Spells. This includes every magic user in Grapevine.
Sorry for the 4-post, but there is a vote as well. Remember how I said I wasn't quite sure what to call what you what you've learned? Well, I am leaving it to vote. What do you call them?
You reach out and touch the corpse of a creature. Over the next minute, the corpse begins to rapidly decompose, sprouting fungus and moss as it begins to degrade into compost and mulch. An odd-colored flower or two may also spring from the corpse in this time. Applicable requirements for resurrection are unaffected by this decomposition.
Edit: Technically, this spell benefits. Mainly plants as compost and mulch. So there is a bit of leeway on that end, as you may notice.

Notably, this is probably anti-necromancy, in halting non-resurrection necromancy from occurring, thus granting the dead the mercy of an uninterrupted final rest.
