Only if we tell him the truth after we find it. Or report back to him in general. Shiny MacGuffin might be wanted by other Espada who can shield us from his wrath.

A lot depends on if he wants the shiny or wants people to know what happens when his shinies are stolen. Killing the theif in a brutal manner could make up for being unable to find his treasure.*wink wink*

Despite a valliant attempt at a turnaround by @Revlid, it would appear that the King Still Rules in the heart of my voters :V

I'm a little bit amazed that you think Barragan or his legion of hypersensitive asslickers wouldn't murder us the instant they suspected we'd found something valuable and not turned it over to The King.

Then again, his asslickers are equally likely to do that if we do turn it over, just so they can bask in the approval of Barragan-sama~...

Aaroniero's only likely to eat us if we let him know how useful our power is, and let that outweigh our usefulness as an independent agent. He's weak, and he knows it, and he's limited by the sun, and he knows it, which means he needs to be clever. We can rely on him to be reasonable, if not kind or honest or generous.

Syazel is also pretty reasonable, and so is only likely to eat us... once he's dissected and cloned us so he can keep on eating and torturing us a bit more. Pass. Barragan, on the other hand, would have us killed on an idle whim, and then forget about it. Us serving him is natural, and we can expect no gratitude or agency. The only ones who will notice us are his existing fraccion, and I doubt they want competition in their long race to be the first to eat out his crusty old ass.

It's a fetch quest, dude. It's "loot" in the same way that "six rat tails" is loot.

However valuable it is, we're going to have to hand it in at the end of the day.

And that's even assuming it is valuable. If it were an actual item of power, he'd be sending one of the half-dozen members of his fraccion. As it stands, it could be an old drinking cup he tossed into the desert somewhere, or one of his old bangles that he's only just noticed slipped off.

I don't mind voting for Barragan on the basis that he has the coolest-looking Resurrecion, but "loot" is not a valid reason.

Out of curiosity, since we are one of the older arrancar, do we know anything about Dordonii and the other Privaron Espadas?

Yes; you served under them for a time. Their being cast out was the first real sign you got that the Hogyokou didn't mean good things for you, and that you could be facing a future of irrelevance and exendability.

If you suggest characters I might include them in the story and give you some omake XP, sure.
 
I forget but where did the privaron espada go exactly we could use them as allies. And now that I'm thinking of it creepy tree guy and his posse could be of use to plus we outrank him.
