New Game Inc.

Team Leaders cant research.
Only Coders and those going down the Research track can Research (you havent unlocked the R&D track yet, you need a Hacker or 6 Employees)

Hit the research button and see ;)
But yes, yes it did

Eh. I stand by my vote, for the simple reason that we need more titles on the market.

Eh, I kind of want to do some more research but then again we need to start having a positive income compared to the slow leak we have now.

No, we do not have a net gain. That cost is with the profits from Star Knight. It'd be less than half that much of a loss if it weren't for that stupid bug.

So, we need a BIG seller, and soon. That case, we want to use the Dragon Game, or something else? For example, we could do UR's jousting idea.

If you hadnt rolled badly for that first Bug you would almost fully pay off your dev costs in the next finance turn, and after that its profit to combat your monthly expenses

But remember you lot chose Arcade, that is smaller income over time, a curve downards slowly, as opposed to a bang and then nothing of Console games. And you dont have any Fans, so there arent any passive bonuses

Let's go with the Dragon Game. Lets us finish out the half-genres we got from Star Knight

Dragon's Rage

A downward scrolling shooter (character towards bottom of screen, as everythign scrolls down to meet him). You play the part of a dragon destroying waves of alien ships. Take damage from hitting enemies (which also destroys them) and being hit by enemy shots. Destroying enemies gives points and temporary boosts. Each level you finish lets you pick one of two upgrades that then persists until the end of the game - described as your dragon growing and developing. You also have a limited number of full-screen attacks, known as Rages, that harm all enemies on screen (killing the weaker ones) and remove all bullets - taking the form of a fiery wave that begins at the bottom of the screen and proceeds quickly upwards, preferably with "Dragon's Rage!" displayed on the screen in large letters as it does.

Also, it's a good point. There are a lot of people out there doing beeps and boops. Also, beeps and boops are kind of pricey on the development budget. Given that we've released one game under silent running (with a bit of success) it might be worth claiming it as a theme (at least for now), and doing the next the same way.

Since its all unanimous (and Im bored) Imma give you a free update:

Week 6 Gamin miniturn

With the freeing up of all your people you decide to MAKE A NEW GAME!

The Boss charges into the room shouting about Games and Mone, New and More. Those are the only four legible words and he repeats them a lot. You get the idea to maybe make something new, thats what he wants right?

What type of game you want?
[ ] Write in pitch (you know the drill)

You have 2 Coders who can count as an Employee. You can also use the Team Leader for a +10 to a roll
[ ] AI I (500 Money, 0 Employee)
[ ] AI II (1,000 Money, 1 Employee)
[ ] AI III (2,000 Money, 2 Employee)
[ ] Graphics I (500 Money, 0 Employee)
[ ] Graphics II (1,000 Money, 1 Employee)
[ ] Controller Input I (500 Money, 0 Employee)
[ ] Controller Input II (1,000 Money, 1 Employee)
[ ] High Score (500 Money, 1 Employee)
[ ] Basic Sounds (1,500 Money, 2 Employee)
[ ] Basic Sounds II (3,000 Money, 4 Employee)

Hmm, thinking about it I'm going to make a slight rule change:

Team Leaders (and all down the management track) do not have to take an Employee slot, though they can if they wish.
This way you can spend it on any 1Employee task, not just the AI 3

[X] AI III (2,000 Money, 2 Employee)
[X] Graphics II (1,000 Money, 1 Employee)
[X] Controller Input II (1,000 Money, 1 Employee)
[X] High Score (500 Money, 1 Employee)
[X] Basic Sounds (1,500 Money, 2 Employee)

Tinkerbell you have used 4 more Employees than you have.
You also havent chosen where you want your Team Leader, Basic Sound or AI III

Or where the Boss is

[X] A game were player controls a dragon fighting one on one battles with various flying enemies. First opponent is a giant eagle, then another dragon, than air mage, then various alien fighters with each fight becoming harder and harder.
Should resources allow, the boss has an ambitious design goal is letting player to choose different dragons to play. Or even have an option to play a storm mage

[X] Names
Star Dragon
Sky Knight

[X] AI III (2,000 Money, 2 Employee) - Team leader goes there
[X] Graphics II (1,000 Money, 1 Employee) + the boss (be sure to use the same team that worked on graphics in Star King)
[X] Controller Input I (500 Money, 0 Employee) (try to make it similar to Star Knight controls)

____________
Why fighting and not sirocco's idea? We need a game that doesn't care about lack of highscore. Game were we need to win a number of one on one battles.
We need to use team leader in 2 employee project and this is either AI or sounds. Sending a single remaining employee to high scores is unacceptable as we need graphics...
Killing waves of enemies without highscore = Meh. Especially after our first game that had one. Players will expect to see highscore system, not finding one... they will be disappointed and switch to games that have highscore
