GEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

This will be fun. In the dwarf fortress sense.

From the depths of the Writing Think-Tank I come.

I have developed Mechanics for this Quest. It's based somewhat on Savage Worlds, but it's a lot of homebrew for the zombies.

Basically, Skills like persuasion are capped by whatever your cap is in it's related stat.

Persuasion is a Smarts skill, so it can only be as high as your Smarts.

So, Smarts = d8, therefore Persuasion Cannot be greater than d8.

Got it? Great. Also, when you get the max on any dice, like a 4 on a D4, you roll again and add the results. This is for any Attribute, Skill or Damage roll, however you can only add up to x3 the dice max.

So:
d2 = 6 max
d4 = 12 max
d6 = 18 max
d8 = 24 max etc.

Aria now has the following stats :

Agility: D4
Smarts: D2
Spirit: D2 + 1
Strength: D2
Vigor: D2

And Skills:

[Speech D2: You're brave enough to speak to others, but a little intimidation or explaining advanced concepts go slightly beyond you.]

[Stealth D4: You can reliably move silently, albeit at a slower pace. Sneaking up on more than one person, or someone particularly alert, is likely beyond your ability]

[Combat Edge: Assassin Style- You know exactly where to strike to take down somebody, and can do it unfailingly so long as you get the drop on them] (+d10)
Spector29 threw 2 2-faced dice. Reason: Smarts Test Total: 3
2 2 1 1
Spector29 threw 2 8-faced dice. Reason: Bad Guy's Smarts Total: 14
8 8 6 6

"Girlie, what's yer name? Whaddya doin out here on the roads?" He asks, peering dangerously up to Daniel, as if to tell him to stay silent.

You deliberate for a moment. This guy is super scary, but he seems like he means well? He must be concerned that Daniel is a bad guy, and he's taking you away. That's silly of him, Daniel would never hurt you!

...Not like Daddy...

[+5 Madness] [-5 Madness]

Shaking the bad thoughts out, you look back to the man. He's smiling, but the kind of smile that is really...dangerous. The kind that Uncle, and Levi and all the cool people have!

You giggle. "There are mean men in my house, touching my stuff. My Uncle's friend and I are going to stop them!" You tilt your head, smiling at the man. "Do you want to help?"

The man turns pale for just the briefest of seconds, his eyes flickering over to Daniel. Huh, maybe this guy wasn't so cool after all. You bet he didn't even carve up corpses for fun. Laaaaaame.

"...Well, why don't we see about that?" He says, getting up. His grin has returned, and you see a glint in his eye as he seems to have gotten over whatever effect you had on him. Like the +15 Madness you inflicted...

He gives a signal to the gun-holding men, and they fall in behind you as you continue walking along the road.

[Smarts Test DC 4: Rolled 3]

You begin to smile, as you think of how lucky you are to have all this help. Tugging on Daniel's hand as he falls in next to you, you beam up at him. "Isn't it great how much help we're getting, Daniel?"

[Bad Guy's Smarts Test DC 8: Rolled 14]

Daniel immediately tenses up, as the man leading you snaps his head to the side, "Daniel?"

The men with the guns are confused, but soldier on regardless. You feel like you did something, but can't quite be sure what.

You were walking for the rest of the trip in absolute silence. It was almost eerie, like you were missing a sense but couldn't remember ever having it. Eventually, you made it back home!

...home...?

Home was destroyed. The neighborhood was reduced to a collection of burned-down buildings and hastily re-reinforced fences around it all. Whoever is here now decided to take up residence in your half of the neighborhood, and you can see people with guns on the balconies of some of your close friends' houses. Someone destroyed your home, and now...

Now these people want to move into it?!

You barely contained your rapidly-building RAGE as your...captor led you through the new, junky stupid gates. He turned, bent down and smiled at you like a stupid IDIOT JERK.

"Now dearie, why don't you move along? Danny boy and I got some'thin to talk a'bout." He smiled, stupidly.

O.3- The Lord
The Lord

Shay was lazing about in his home. This wasn't exactly an uncommon occurrence, his brother has been strangely quiet the last view days. He tapped into the network a while ago, but there hasn't been any mass zombie migration since he sacked that one town of his own Cultists.

Strange, that. That's why he nudged his own Cultists to the ruins of that town; Adam's not the kind to waste resources, so he had to have killed them for a reason.

Preliminary results, from what Assistant gathered, was that this Cult town was a residential district. This answered more questions than it raised, Shay assumed one of the Cultists got into a bit of the Necrominion he shouldn't and ended up killing the town, making his brother clean up the mess.

But it's been a few days, and Assistant didn't turn up whatever caused the wreck.

As we was pondering the situation, he navigated himself towards his Ritual Room.

"Ah well. Best see what's what." Shay kneeled down, and ritually sliced his palm to drip blood on the well-drenched ritual circle.

And with that, Lord Alpha had tapped into Lord Terror's zombie control Network.

"Shame I never figured out a trick to kill them all. Anything else would tip off Lil'bro that I'm here." Shay thought to himself.

Adam's Network was so thoughtlessly laid out, in Shay's opinion. His organizing was practically incomprehensible, and it made it really difficult to steal his network. So very inconsiderate of his brother.

"Hmm. It seemed like he replenished a bunch of his zombies in the Cathedral. Those were cleared out a while ago, must've swept back in out of spite." Shay noted to himself, sliding out of the Network.

"Otherwise, nothing. The downtime's nice," Shay muttered, absently. "Brother's always been such a busybody. He should seriously get laid."

He briefly considered replying to some of his messages, or doing some cadaver work...

...nah, best to sleep some more. Assistant will inform him of any changes.

Zzz...Zzz...
