Some good options here. I'm really tempted by the dream, it could be very useful to learn more about her past, but Ruby is really intriguing me, and I kind of want to learn more about how she ticks. So...

[X] Only to be awoken by a strange encounter with Ruby in the middle of the night. What is she doing?

Neither looks at her or each other. Weiss sullenly folds her arms under her chest while Nora just balls her fists up by her side. Yang sighs and barks at the Jaune boy. "Banner boy, you're the one who saw this coming. Deal with it."

Interesting that Jaune saw that coming, despite not knowing Weiss and Blake
Far more interesting is that Jaune told Yang and she after she prevented the fight she sent them to Jaune to deal with them

The former let's us know a bit more about what Jaune can do, while latter shows that there is at least some degree of trust between the two of them

[ ] You dream of the past. Of destiny, and how you followed it, only to cheat it in the end.

Knew it, something clearly must have happened for Phyrra to beat her Hector, so this is probably about what happened during the fight that let Phyrra win

Alright everyone, lay your bets- Nora Valkyrie, daughter of Anastasia Mantle and some rando, Y/N?

Between Ren's reaction and his far more complicated/expensive weapon, it is actually more likely for Ren to be the son of a royal bastard then Nora, even if Nora's backround would certainly allow it

Great so now we are poor as hell just to avoid owing someone a favor which means we will have to ask for other peoples money for anything else we will be needing which means we will be in debt to others any way.

Jemnite if Wiess is such a big republican then why does she act like a noble all the time. Also I thought that the Great War started between Vale and Mistral with Mantle coming in on on Mistral's side. Plus considering Atlas's culture I would think they would be the ones only ones to keep a monarchy after the war not be the only ones to get ride of theirs with a revolution Russian style. That kind of revolution would kind have killed the Schnee dust company before she was born which is anther weird thing. Lastly I am pretty sure the Great War is one hundred years old not 50 so how can that be the driver for a revolution 50 years before the story starts.

It is not Hector that Phyrra would need to cheat destiny to beat because Achilles did not need to cheat to win that fight, he won it fair and square and so did she, it might have something to do with hector's bitch of a brother however.

...There's a bizarre kind of irony in Weiss being so associated with White when it's starting to sound like red might have been more thematically appropriate.

This isn't a phrase I ever thought I'd say, but I'm now kind of curious as to what 'actual Joan of Arc' Jaune is like. Careful Jemnite! If you keep this up, he might actually have a personality!

I don't necessarily agree with your other points, but I can follow them. You'll need to explain what part of Atlas' culture makes them more predisposed to monarchy specifically. Because I can definitely see Atlas sliding into becoming a military dictatorship, but that's not the same thing.

I'm pretty sure that the Atlas government isn't socialist, given the Shnee Dust Company is a thing. There are shades of the Russian revolution in there, sure, but we shouldn't go too far in conflating the two things.

If anything, I suspect we'll see a new and exciting form of fascist government that is ABSOLUTELY NOT based entirely on the three elements of Atlasian society we see in RWBY canon (Big Military, Robots and Cyborg Prosthetics, and Za Megucorpo) getting thrown into a blender and poured into a frozen wasteland full of shadow monsters and told to survive.

(New writing prompt: what if we replaced the Soviets with the bad guys from a cyberpunk novel?)

That'd be amazing tbh. Militaristic/Materialistic/Authoritarian Atlas sounds like a fun little thought experiment that might spread the stars and curb the Xeno scum (wait a minute this isn't Stellaris) would be nice to flesh out.

So I've just binged the quest, and I've got to say it's fantastic.

I said what I said because from the back story in the show I got the impression that it was Mistral's emperor who was the most Authoritarian and hated of the Kingdoms's leaders before and during the Great War. So I would think bloody revolution would be more likely in the Empire of Mistral. On the other hand their was no indication that the leadership of Mantle was especially disliked be the people. Also it seamed that Atlas became more important for peaceful reasons over time which lead to the government being moved to that city.

Man. The infusion of ashore into pyrrha. I'm not particularly liking it. Achilles and came to suit for a reason yo.

Only way I could see her as a team leader if because she'd be bound and determined to make it implode if she wasn't and wouldnt be put off like Weiss was.

Jaune is pyschic? Some kind of Clairvoyance or ESP?

Jaune is a Jeanne D'arc expy, so it's neither
From what we have seen it's either having literal divine help, which is not outside the realm of the possible given that the two brother gods exist or some kind of divine certainty is regards to his actions, such as when preparing a meal, knowing the exact among of food he needs to prepare or when looking for a object, knowing exactly where he needs to go to find it

You're trying to diagnose the cause, I'm just trying to work out the symptoms. If any words I used where the incorrect terminology then please correct me, otherwise how he does it isn't what I'm thinking about now.

Yeah and I'm saying that your going on about 'symptoms' is "wrong" because your approach is not nearly broad enough

In case of literal divine help his 'ability' so far one can call it that is having a phone line to God or whoever it is that was put in charge of being Jaunes guardian angel, which then obvious translates his symptoms not into ESP or Clairvoyance but into a guy that gives him advice, knowledge and all the other support that he can, within the rules he has been given/ that are established

In case of divine certainty/guidance Jaune probably gets a feeling in response to his current (as in every) situation/action, which he then needs to act on to reach the 'ideal/desired/needed' outcome,

As you can see it's less about what Jaune can do, but more about what he probably can't do while he performs his holy mission in the name of god

Sorry I've been trying to figure this out but I just can't grasp your line of reasoning. Would you mind trying again?

Jaune can precog 3 tarot cards and knows how many people will join any group he's in. Ruby apparently can also precog cards. Or is good enough to cheat them. Either way, they're worth keeping close. Because they're either smart or blessed.

Well, Ruby is worth watching because she shouldn't be here, but Ozpin saw something in her.

pre cog is probably incorrect terminology unless he foresaw which answer would give him the pass. Hence why I was going with Clairvoyance.
Of course they're not exclusive.

He knows where to go in advance. It's almost as if god himself is telling him what he needs to know, which is why he knows it.

I think he knows what he needs to know, and it manifests in a spiritual sense based on the Joan of Arc mythology.

And thats great...
However science works by gathering data and then making hypothesis.
