There is nothing wrong with text. It is an excellent tool for character building and exposition.
Sure animations are pretty; but they don't get my imagination working as much as a bit of text can.
Text is also a good way to make things move along quicker; in story, and from a reader's perspective.

Most of the stories on this forum are text based, you twit. Nobody is going to be upset. :p
