Upon failing to hatch any dragon eggs, Daenerys Targaryen is given an offer sealed in green flame from a being that ruled before the Dawn Age began. Who needs dragons when you're already a demon?
Introduction/Character Creation - Part 1

Lord Ultimus

Beautiful...
Location
Undisclosed Warehouse
The crackle of the flames merges with the screams.

You are Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, and you are marked with death. Your parents are dead, killed in the Usurper's War. Your brother is dead, killed by his own foolishness. Your son is dead, killed by his own birth. Your husband is dead, poisoned by the woman you saved, the woman who was also the woman who is now dying in Drogo's funeral pyre. The same pyre you put the three dragon eggs, the last connection to your House and your birthright, next to your husband.

Those three eggs which you saw sparked, paint peeling before crumbling into ash.

They were fake, you realize, as you drop to your knees, not even hearing Jorah Mormont call out "Khaleesi!" in worry. You never expected them to hatch, no one did, but seeing them only reminds you of what you are. Not a khaleesi. Not a dragon. Not even a princess.

A failure.

No.

You blink, staring up. The flames on the pyre have changed, taking on a green color, like the stories of wildfire Viserys described to you.

Failure does not define oneself. It only opens the door to a greater self.

The voice is not something you can hear with your ears, but it is etched in your mind. None of the other seem to hear it, nor do they see the flames changed in color.

"Who are you," you whisper.

I am the servant of beings long forgotten. Call them the Yama Kings, the First, the Children, the Gods Beyond Gods - all that matters is that they were the true creators of this world, cast out from their rightful place as rulers by their unfaithful subjects.

That sounds too familiar.

The time has come for their legacy to take their place. You have tasted the same loss and devastation. You, my... khaleesi, are needed. The Wheel turns. The Sixth Age looms. The Exaltations return, and the Long Night shall fall.

I don't understand, you think.

I apologize, Your Grace, there is much to explain - too much, perhaps. I may cease to exist soon, but I can at least give you a gift. Raise your head, do not falter, and feel the Urge that will drive you to your destiny.

As surely as your heart beats, you feel the call of:

[] Dominion, of making the world bend to your will and yours alone as it was in that terrifying wonderful way your brother described it
Urge of the Conqueror: The Infernal may replenish her Essence whenever she forces an enemy or other powerful figure to submit themselves to her will.

[] Triumph by any means, the thrill of rule-breaking of knowing deep down that it's not forbidden if you don't get caught
Urge of the Corrupter: The Infernal may replenish her Essence whenever she destroys the illusions of the righteous, or tempts them into abandoning their code and taking the low road

[] Sundering, you are going to break this wretched place and you are going to rip everything the world ripped away from you
Urge of the Destroyer: The Infernal may replenish her Essence whenever she defeats a supernatural opponent or overwhelming mortal opposition, lays waste to important assets be longing to her enemies, or uses mayhem and destruction to advance an Intimacy

[] Revelation, of discovering secrets that others do not, of pulling back the skien of the world and making sense of what others think of as chaos or divine plan
Urge of the Forbidden: The Infernal may replenish her Essence whenever she learns secretive or forbidden lore of the supernatural world, or binds an unwholesome being into her service

[] Perfection, your plans had failed, they had thrown you into this hell, but with this power perhaps now they would not fail
Urge of the Manipulator: The Infernal may replenish her Essence whenever a plan unfolds precisely according to her design and expectations.

A/N: Okay, as you might have guessed, this quest was directly inspired by
Green Flame Rising, save for two things: one, it's ASOIAF instead of Dresden Files that Exalted is crossing over with, and two, the system isn't based on Exalted Vs World of Darkness directly, but rather it's appendix Exalted Vs Dark Ages, which fits the world of Westeros and Essos much better, you might agree. (Note that there are substantial differences, particularly for the Infernal's charmset, between the two for those who want to plan ahead.) Also, this was sort of a whim, brought about by wanting to try something Exalted related but too afraid of the system to start with the original, so I can't promise regular updates. (For those who haven't participated in Green Flame Rising, this will determine how you replace your Essence, or magical energy, but it also determines how the Thousand Hells will affect Dany and what her primary temptation will be.)

  • Allies •• (Varys & Doran Martell) Note that Daenerys does not personally know them, limiting their help

Charms
Key Charms:
  • Lanka: Demon City of the Rakshas
  • The Hell of Burrowing Maggots

-No Category-
By feeding raw infernal Essence into any endeavor, the Demon Prince may perform feats far beyond mortal limits.

System: Select any single Ability when purchasing this Charm. At any time, the player may reflexively spend 1 Essence to add (the Attribute being rolled + the Ability in question) dice to all rolls using this Ability for (Essence rating + 1) turns in combat, or minutes outside of combat. This Charm can be repurchased to unlock additional Abilities, but Essence must be spent to add dice to each Ability separately. The very first purchase of Key to the Kingdom unlocks all of the character's Key Abilities, but subsequent purchases only unlock one Ability at a time.

Lanka
The Infernal calls forth the polished stone and blasphemous brass statuary of Lanka and forges them into armor which adorns her flesh like a second skin. Ancient demonic script glows faintly upon this shell, boasting of the glories of the Demon City.

System: Reflexively spend 1 Essence to activate this Charm. The Infernal adds the highest of her Strength, Stamina, or Charisma to her soak rolls for the rest of the scene, but raises the difficulty of all Stealth attempts by +1 due to the glowing script that adorns her armor.

Hell of Burrowing Maggots
Even the damned pray, and the Infernal may choose to answer these prayers. When the Infernal hears another being express a wish to be something they currently are not (stronger, smarter, more beautiful, more wealthy, and so forth), she may reach out with her Essence to grant the stated wish, even if the wish was not uttered in serious expectation of fulfillment. There is, of course, a price.

System: Upon hearing an uttered wish, the Infernal may spend 5 Essence to grant it. The world conspires to bring about the Infernal's blessing as soon as possible, usually within the same scene. The beneficiary knows only that the hand of fortune is upon them, and they may accept or reject it. Rejection costs a point of Willpower. Sensing the sinister price attached to the gift requires a Perception + Awareness roll against difficulty 8.

The Infernal can grant any of the following: a dot of an Attribute; a dot of an Ability; a dot of a Background; a Merit; or she can remove a Flaw. No character can have more than one wish granted in the course of a year.

There are two hidden prices to the Infernal's gift.

First: At any point after granting a wish, the Infernal may approach the beneficiary and ask them to perform one task on her behalf. The task may be as involved or lengthy as the Infernal desires, so long as it isn't impossible or utterly suicidal, and so long as it has some defined end-point within a year and a day. If the beneficiary refuses or shirks the Infernal's task, he is ripped from the world and cast into the Hell of Burrowing Maggots… and he is instinctively aware of the wages of disobedience, once the task has been spoken.

Second: After accepting three gifts from the Infernal, the beneficiary becomes a creature of darkness, instinctively loyal to the Infernal, who reduces the difficulty of all social rolls against the character by three.

Kakuri
The Infernal's stare flays away all dissimulation. Shorn of pretense, she beholds her target at his very worst, plucking forth the knowledge of his greatest sin.

System: The Infernal spends a turn examining her target, and then her player spends 1 Essence and rolls Perception + Empathy against a difficulty of the target's (Wits + Subterfuge). Success tells her what deed in all of his history the target is most ashamed of. With three or more successes, the Infernal also learns some specific details of the sin (names, dates, things she might have seen had she been present to witness the act). With five or more successes she may even learn details the target himself doesn't know, such as long-term consequences of his sin which would further compound his guilt.

Hell of Boiling Oil
The Infernal's strength surges as though she were at the spiritual center of the cosmos so long as she rests within befouled or deadly liquid.

System: So long as the Infernal remains fully submerged in tainted or deadly liquid, she replenishes her Essence as though she were resting in a Dragon Nest and heals all bashing damage or one level of lethal damage every fifteen minutes.

Intimacies
Jorah Mormont Respect/Reliance

Merits/Flaws
Anima Control
The Exalt has complete control over their Anima; it only flares when they wish to.

Nightmares
When you sleep, nightmares invade your dreams. Terrible images assault your mind, leaving you anxious and breathless upon waking. When you wake, make a Willpower roll. If you fail, the horror of your dreams haunts you, decreasing your dice pools for all actions by one until you next sleep.

Enemy ● ● (Baratheon)
TBA

Enemy ● ● (Lannister)
TBA

Urge Of The Conqueror
The Infernal may replenish her Essence whenever she forces an enemy or other powerful figure to submit themselves to her will.

The Crown of Kings
The Infernal may spend 1 Essence to sanctify any oath she has personally witnessed, scribing the words of the pact on the air with Essence. Any who should break this oath begins to radiate corrupt Essence that draws in great swarms of powerful, wicked spirits that desire nothing more than to feast on the oathbreaker and everything she spends a great deal of time in contact with. Additionally, if the Infernal approaches any of the night folk on legitimate business and they offer her or her companions unprovoked violence, then any roll made by the offending supernatural during the course of that violence which produces even a single 1 becomes an automatic botch.

Introduction/Character Creation - Part 2
Is this what Viserys felt? You wonder as you rise on your feet, ignoring Jorah's surprise. Is that why this feels... familiar?

The green fire doesn't speak anymore; it doesn't have to, as you feel the call with every beat of your heart. The Iron Throne awaits for you - you've always known, but you can feel it now. This is your birthright, not merely to have a home, but to take this world that has bend and thrown you apart and make it bend, make it fall before your knees in supplication.

You need no dragons. You already are one.

You barely notice yourself approaching the flames, can only hear Jorah's shouts as if he were an ocean away, as your clothes catch fire. The fire never touches your skin. It flows around it, becoming a hard shell, like a butterfly's chrysalis.

Or, perhaps, a dragon's egg.

As you form a fetal position, putting your arms around your knees, the shell completes, encasing you in a warm darkness. You feel yourself slipping away, even as you hear cold laughter.

FINALLY

WE CAN BEGIN

YOU WILL BURN THIS WORLD

AND FROM THE ASHES

BIRTH IT ANEW

But how will you be reborn?

[] Draconic Khaleesi

You learned the way of the Dothraki and have merged it with the ideals of House Targaryen. Knowledge and charm are pretty things, but they mean little in the end. A dragon plants no trees.

[] Lovely Demoness
The beauty of the Targaryens were said to have been worthy to wage war for. The darkest layers of the world can ensure this is so. A smile in the right place can redeem the darkest heart, or make the brightest soul commit the wickedest of deeds.

[] Valyrian Sorceress
Once, the Valyrians were the greatest sorcerers in the world. Though that magic led to their downfall, it does not have to happen again. You will discover all the secrets of this world, but beware, for a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing...

[] Plan God-Empress
The God-Empress is Powerful as she is Charismatic. As kind as she is cruel. As empathetic as she is manipulative. She prefers words but has no quams using force if necessary, be they personal or otherwise.

[] Something different, something more (Crossover book can be found here. Page 202 is where you get the steps for making an Infernal. The sheet I am using so I do not have to fiddle around with making dots in the forum is here)

Introduction/Character Creation - Part 3
How long have you existed in here?

A day?

A month?

An eternity?

You can only ride the waves of dreaming and memory, experiencing each moment as if it were your first, as if born anew.

One moment you walk through a hallway to discover you're in a forest. The next you're sitting on the Iron Throne having a banquet with the dead.

But things begin to reoccur. You leading armies, slashing down countless foes with your sword. Addressing thousands, all of them enraptured by your words. Maneuvering around vile and conniving politicians that keep you from your birthright.

Until, at last, all fades to darkness. Then, multiple lights, each their own sinister color, break through the darkness, each promising tantalizing powers to aid you.

Which do you choose?

[] The Crown of Eyes
While intensely studying an object, situation, or individual that is within her line of sight, the Infernal may spend 1 Essence and ask one question about it, which the Storyteller must answer honestly. The Infernal can only ever use this power a single time on any object, situation, or individual. When the character's anima is flaring, great staring eyes open within its emerald flames, and the Infernal becomes impossible to ambush or strike with an unexpected attack, even if her foe is invisible.

[] The Crown of Flames
The Infernal becomes aware whenever someone speaks her name, and may reflexively spend 1 Essence to, within a frozen moment that does not distract her in any way from what's going on around her, scry on the situation in which her name has been invoked. She can see and hear the speaker and his surroundings for the next (Essence) minutes. If she desires, she may spend 1 additional Essence to punish the one who took her name in vain by causing him to burst into emerald flames as though engulfed in a bonfire (two levels of lethal damage per turn of exposure, difficulty 6 to soak). While her anima is flaring, both scrying and immolation do not cost Essence; in either case, she can only set someone on fire a single time as punishment, at least until he is so unwise as to speak her name again.

[] The Crown of Glory
The Infernal may touch a wicked spirit that has submitted itself utterly to her authority, spend 1 Essence, and transform it into a suit of ghastly armor that looks like it was made by butchering the spirit and using its hide and bones as construction materials, giving her +2 soak dice. She also manifests a melee or ranged weapon befitting the spirit's nature, such as a scythe studded with fangs or a pistol that fires flesh-devouring insects instead of bullets (this weapon has normal traits for a weapon of its type, save that its damage is aggravated). The armor and weapon reconstitute themselves back into the spirit at the end of the scene (or sooner if the Infernal wills it so), but the spirit is ever-after tied to the Infernal from that point onwards until it is destroyed or she willingly releases it from its compact. When she spends 1 Essence, or at no cost while her anima is flaring, she may reflexively summon the spirit to her side from wherever it may be in the cosmos and instantly transform it into her panoply once more.

[] The Crown of Kings

[] The Crown of Night
The first 2 Essence the Infernal spends in a scene don't count toward flaring her anima. Additionally, when her anima does flare, she may shroud herself in it like an obscuring cloak, making her impossible to recognize. Anyone in the scene that has already recognized her must roll Willpower against difficulty 8 or be struck blind, deaf, and mute for an hour each time they attempt to reveal her identity to anyone else during the next (Essence rating) days.

[] The Crown of Worlds
By spending 2 Essence, the Infernal may discorporate herself into the ley lines of the world, reforming some hours later at a place of spiritual desolation, suffering, or terrible sin. The spot where she discorporated is left badly burnt and corroded in her wake, and if not subjected to mystical cleansing of some sort, will slowly fester into a site of spiritual corruption over the next several months. When her anima flares, the Infernal may, at will and as she desires, raise or lower the local veil rating by +2/–2, as well as, if she desires, tainting the veil such that anything passing through it or using a power across its boundary while her anima flares is burned by her hideous radiance and must soak two levels of lethal damage.

[] The Crown of Wrath
Once per scene, the Infernal can re-roll an attack, damage, defense, or soak roll and keep the preferred result. When the character's anima is flaring, 10s count as two successes on damage and soak rolls.

Introduction/Character Creation - Part Final
In the end, there's not really a choice. One of the lights sings with the songs of legacy and kings. Your... hunger drives you towards it. It beckons to you, and you approach it, and see it as it truly is: a crown, grand and awe-inspiring, made for the greatest of kings.

Or, perhaps, a queen.

You grab it, feel its warmth in your hands. Placing it on your head, you hear the voices of the subjects you will someday have, cheering your name. The fires burst from the crown, engulfing you, and light bursts, blinding you.

Your hand burst through the egg - the Chrysalis Grotesque - and you rip yourself out, standing in the sun. Your remaining followers, Jorah amongst them, stare in awe as you stand, transformed and glorious. They can do nothing but kneel in supplication.

You have been given the world. In fire and blood.

Arc 0, Post 1 - Green Sun Princess
The sword still hums at your side.

It is a sound only you can hear. The blade is black and curved, a green shimmer when turned to the light, its hilt red and carved in the shape of a roaring dragon's head. The hum is almost like a whisper in your mind, perhaps the last remnant of the voice you heard before your transformation. It's almost as if you can still hear its call for your glory at times.

The blade is far from your only change. You've become a master at wielding it, able to beat Ser Jorah and your three remaining bloodriders easily. You are far more agile than before, able to balance perfectly on a single toe, and your senses have become sharper as well, easily able to see details you missed easily before. You can also read people's emotions to the point you practically feel them yourself, which complements your extraordinary presence and ability to convince others - though there seems to be an undercurrent of unease that you inspire as well, in spite of looking the same as before.

These, however, are just the beginning of your new powers - your new magic. A simple thought, and you glow like a green flame, a symbol resembling a green three-headed dragon like the one on the Targaryen sigil over the horizon blazing on your forehead when you do. You expend a bit of your strength to enhance certain abilities, and with a thought you gain armor to match your sword, polished stone and brass etched with glowing script no one can recognize, much less read. You once saw a glimpse the greatest sin of one of the young unbraided boys in your party, who stole food from his mother when her back was turned - something that amused you, but seemed to frighten Ser Jorah.

However, easily the strangest and most astonishing power you discovered happened when Ser Jorah half-jokingly wished he was a more handsome man - and you suddenly realized you could grant that wish. Using a portion of your power, Ser Jorah woke the next day looking more well-kept than you ever known him before, knowing nothing save fortune smiled on him - and when he accepted your request to stay and guard you when you sleep for a year and a day to aid your nightmares, felt a chill over him as if he had avoided the seven hells themselves. Since you sensed you could not grant another of his wishes for a year, you have not attempted to grant other wishes, nor told anyone of this power just yet, letting them follow you simply as the Unburnt - for now.

At this point, you face a decision - where to now? You cannot stay, and yet your path is divided. How will your journey begin - and how will you begin to feed this strange hunger for others to submit to you?

Dany has the Demon Aspect: Demon Weapon as her Demonic Guide - only one dot means it's not very talkative, but it's very good at stabbing.

Dany is aware of most of her new abilities and attributes - Appearance 1 means that she puts people at unease in spite of looking good, but your balls to the wall Charisma and Manipulation can overcome that!

Dany is aware of all of your Charms save for Charred Sinner Renewal - not a lot of boiling oil where you are.

Dany is unaware of Varys and Doran Martell as allies since she doesn't know they exist yet, and has no more reason to single out the Lannisters and Baratheons as enemies than before.

Dany is unaware of how she can use Crown of Kings - all the people you command have sworn their oaths already, it didn't occur to swear all over again, and there isn't anyone around to swear oaths to each other you can sanctify.

Dany is aware of Verdant Emptiness Endowment, having used it to Jorah Mormont to increase his Appearance by 1 without him fully aware it was you. You cannot grant him another wish for another year, but you can do so to others under your command if you want to if you want to spend the motes.

Dany feels the Urge of the Conqueror now! Good thing she already wants to conquer stuff!

For now, choose where you'll lead your people:

-[ ] There is a blood red comet, the same that you saw the day you were reborn. The Dothraki see it as an ill omen, and it leads to the red lands they are all too wary off, but something humming in your sword tells you it is the safest option - and may lead to discovering more about your abilities.

-[ ] The north leads to the great grass sea, and khalasar stalk there and they will not hesitate to attack. Still, you know their ways, and with your charisma might you be able to become a true khaleesi once again?

-[ ] The Lamb Men to the south are less dangerous than the Dothraki, but still hopelessly outnumber you, and they have no reason to love you. Can your new strength match their vengeful anger?

-[ ] East lies the ports of Meereen, Yunkai, and Astapor, mere shadows of the Ghiscari Empire your ancestors ruthlessly destroyed, but lies Khal Pono, first to abandon Drogo, with ten thousand men compared to your hundred, only five of whom can fight including yourself. Can you afford to risk encountering him?
