Moonlight Sonata (Hellsing/Devil May Cry Quest)

"Stop toying with it, it's fine as it is." Seras admonished you as you both walked through the streets of Cheddar. You haven't heard of it before, but the people seemed lively enough. A lot of them waved at Seras as you passed by.

"You sure are popular around here." you remarked as your eyes traced every corner, person and building. Something was putting you on edge, and you couldn't find the source. Even in the sunny afternoon you swore you saw shadows shifting unnaturally.

Seras giggled at your observation. "Oh I'm not sure, we're a small community. Seeing as I'm a constable I meet everyone who lives here at least once." she said as you followed her into a small grocery store.

You weren't expecting anything to happen, but this place was putting you on edge. There was something going on in this town.

The smiles, the peace, the friendly people…

It was unnatural, and it made you sick to your stomach.
"You will leave now." his voice demanded as he placed Seras on the ground behind him. "I will not let someone like you trample over what little happiness she has left."
Cheddar's a fucking illusion, isn't it?

[X] Try to get to Seras.

Your Words Are As Empty As Your Soul

[X] Lead him to a more advantageous point for yourself.

"Come on! Catch me if you can flea-bag!" you heckled, you took a few shots at him before you ran away. It would be a pain in your ass if Seras got hurt, she at least was real.

You ran by some trees and hopped over a log, even the forest looked completely wrecked. You stopped as you found yourself near another road. Your face met the back of a hand as you tumbled back into the forest.

"Imbecile, you're nothing but a tourist. Did you really think you could escape me without knowing where you were?" the man questioned as his ears flicked in annoyance.

The tree you landed into shifted forward as you picked yourself up. Splinters of wood fell off of your suit. "Not really, I just hate having an audience." You replied as you dusted yourself off. "It gives me a bit of stage fright." you finally recognized what he was. He was a Kitsune, but what was he doing in England? Their kind stayed towards the east.

A ball of black fire whizzed by your head as you moved, you shot forward and tackled your assailant. Your fist met his face as you both fell to the floor. Your fist came crashing down on him again, before you were blasted away.

"All of you humans disgust me." he snarled as he picked himself up. "You trample over any modicum of happiness just because you disagree. Anything that defies your expectations is met with prejudice! First, it was my own kin, now even one of your own? I don't understand, when will your hate be sated!?" he asked as the forest trembled.

"Shut up!" you yelled back at him in annoyance. "Wah, wah, wah! My feelings hurt!" you mocked him. "Your whining is giving me a headache." you were sure that was actually from being tossed around, but he didn't need to know that. "I don't know what your deal is, and I don't care. You attacked me, that makes us enemies." The kitsune's teeth bared in anger from your words, his five tails swirled around angrily. You picked up a pebble from the ground and threw it at his forehead. It missed as he appeared before you. "Oh, are you upset?" you asked with a grin as he gripped your throat. Your gun roared to life as you shot at him in point blank range.

As you got back onto your feet you ran away once more. A shadow formed next to you, your gun already poised to shoot.

"You are just so entertaining! It's wondrous!" she complimented in excitement as her hands raised into the air triumphantly. It was that vampire who gave you the guns. She seemed to easily keep up with you without using her legs.

"Vampires..." you muttered as you kept running. "What the hell do you want now?" you demanded as you made a sharp turn in a random direction.

"Nothing at all, my dear Michael!" she purred. "You're giving me all that I could ask for." you were sure the vampire's grin would break her face in half if it went any further.

You scoffed as you dodged a particularly low branch. "I'm glad I could entertain you with my life on the line."

"Hm…" she hummed in agreement. "To see you so easily break out of that fool's spell in your current state is nothing short of outstanding for a human." she wrapped an arm around your neck. Your muscles twitched in fear. "Show me more, I want to see the limits of your humanity." she demanded as she broke apart into bats that flew away.

You were frustrated, extremely so. You felt like a chew toy going through the ringer, and it was pissing you off. The rumbling of the forest alarmed you that your enemy was back in full force. You found yourself back where you left Seras.

"Enough of this nonsense. I grow tired of this, I'll kill you right here and now." you saw him walk out of the clearing. A large ball of fire, nearly the size of a mansion appeared above him and continued to grow. "You can't escape-!" he grunted as blood poured from his mouth, the revving of an engine broke the silence as you saw a blade pierce through him.

"I can't have you giving everyone a sunburn now." someone spoke as the blade was removed. You saw a silver haired man with a long coat. He placed his sword, with a handle that looked like it belonged on a motorcycle, on his shoulder. "I burn easily, never tan!" he smirked before placing his sword onto his back and walking away.

That man looked like Dante…

He stopped as the click of your gun rang out. You took a few steps forward as you grit your teeth. "I want you to answer a question, and I want you to think very carefully about your answer." your voice took on a menacing tone as you spoke.

"Yeah?" he asked as he picked his ear with his normal hand. His demonic arm pulsed with a shimmering blue. "And just what would that be?"

"Where is Dante!?" you demanded from him.

"Dante…?" he questioned with a confused frown. "Never heard of him!" he replied as he turned to walk away again.

A bullet flew past his face, scratching his cheek. "Don't mess with me! I'll beat the answer out of you if I have to!" you threatened as you squeezed the trigger.

The young man swiped his sword through the air before bringing it to level with his chest. Each bullet you shot rested on the surface of his sword. "Listen, I don't know what your problem is but I don't have time for whatever tantrum you're throwing." he dismissed you easily as the bullets dropped to the ground.

He began his trek once again before he found your arms around his abdomen. You lifted him up before driving his head backwards into the ground. You lifted him up again and crashed his head into the ground. You let go of him and stood over him, you pointed you gun at his head. "Let's talk." you demanded.

His demonic arm flung forward, catching you in the jaw. You flew backwards before tumbling onto the ground. You felt like you were hit by a busy freeway.
"I can never catch a break." he muttered as your head was picked up by your hair. You saw him crouched near you. "Stay down, I don't want to hurt you."

"I want your name." you snarled in defiance.

"My name?" he questioned in surprise. "Nero." he answered you.

"I hope you can sleep with one eye open Nero." you told him as you struggled to bring your gun to his chin. "If you let me live, I'll find you again, and you don't want that." you said with a bloody grin.

Nero scoffed. "Whatever..." was the last thing you heard as your head met the ground and you blacked out.

-

Seras was unconscious in the hospital bed, you brought her here after you regained your senses. In your hand laid a crimson colored combat pouch, it was in you hand when you awoke. It was a devil arm, you were sure from the Kitsune that Nero killed. Your mother had told you of them before, they could hold tremendous power. That only held your attention for a bit as you gathered your thoughts.

You were seated in a hospital chair, you were bruised but the pain didn't bother you.

What bothered you was how weak you were. That Nero guy beat you so easily, he handled you like a toddler. You stood up and looked at Seras one more time. Maybe that Kitsune was right, indirectly you destroyed the life she lived. It would be best for you to move on, she didn't need to be involved in the supernatural more than she was.

You strapped the pouch to your waist and walked out of the door.

-

A shadow formed in the hospital room before piecing itself together. Alucard smiled as she stood over Seras. "So curious..." she remarked as her laughter echoed through the halls.

-

"Master, we've located the item you requested." a demon spoke as he bowed and presented a necklace with a large blue stone attached to it. "It's still in amazing condition considering where we found-" he screamed as his hands were removed, he was silenced as his head followed.

The click of a sheathe and the jingle of the necklace resounded throughout the corridor as a man in a blue long coat walked away.

"Soon, the world shall know of this devil's power."

-

Where did you end up going?

Dreamland why are you so goddamn awesome

Oh fuck its pre-DMC 3 time and Vergil is out.

we so fuked

If his Jojo quest is any indication, things probably happened very differently in this

Which makes sense, as Devils may not be the spookiest things around anymore

Goddamn, how did I miss this?
I don't know much about Hellsing except the basics, but turning Alucard into a literal psycho-stalker fangirl is both awesome and crazy. I wonder who's your muse. I bet you kidnapped her like it happened in that Sandman comic, right?

Either way, I wonder how will our character become strong enough to deal with these overpowered freaks. We'll need Daemonic weaponry at the very least to stay relevant.

Because the crazy can be turned to eleven and beyond.

Oh wait, there's another Dreamland quest! Ah, Kingdom Hearts... Nevermind then. Carry on.

"Damn it." you muttered as you sat at one of the tables outside. You were in front of a cafe, watching a woman in a large white sunhat converse with another woman.

"I didn't take you for a stalker, Michael." a familiar voice stated as you sighed in exasperation, you couldn't escape this vampire, even in the sunlight. She always came around at inconvenient times.

"Don't you have someone's blood to be sucking." you asked as you poured milk into your coffee.

She laughed jovially. "No, I'm quite full at the moment, unless you're offering yourself of course." she purred in delight.

You ignored her as you kept your eyes on your target.

You needed to be better than you were, stronger and faster. If you couldn't protect yourself, you couldn't protect anything. It took you a few months but you followed rumors of a witch with power, skilled with firearms. You couldn't have thought of someone better to teach you.

The only problem was that she didn't do anything extraordinary. You followed her for a week, her days consisted of shopping, spas, and other luxuries you had no interest in.

Could she really be this figure people claimed she was?

The coffee in your mug swirled as you added sugar to it. You noticed ripples formed in the mug, a distant rumbling began to shake the cafe. The coffee sprayed on your shirt as the ground below you exploded into debris.

You rolled away before cursing, that coffee was extremely hot. Your eyes met the angel that tore up the ground. "Hey bird man!" you shouted in it's direction. It continued to walk forward, ignoring you. You put a stop to that once your drop kicked it across the street. "This shirt was worth a good chunk of change jackass!" you roared in annoyance as you pulled out your magnums. You decided to try out your new toy as well.

The crimson combat pack was more useful to you than you realized at first. You were able to hold a multitude of items within it easily. Not only that, special grenades formed inside of it, they exploded into a large blaze of black fox fire. They were extremely potent, and you definitely did not burn down a local forest trying out your new weapons.

-

"Oh my, and here I was wondering if my fame was no longer important to the paparazzi." the woman said as she dodged one of the angels that attacked her. She glanced at the angels surrounding her as she finished the last bite of her croissant. She was about to summon one of her pistols before a large angel crashed into the ones before her.

A large explosion of black fire erupted in a tornado of blazing glory.

"Come on! You wanted a fight? Here I am!" you laughed maniacally as your magnums roared along with your laughter.

Bayonetta was flabbergasted for but a mere moment. "Well, that's certainly not something you experience everyday." a human tossing angels around like bags of potatoes. She took a closer look and noticed you were the one that was following her this entire week. Her curiosity increased a bit, you definitely weren't an ordinary human.

-

A loud boom echoed as you suplexed one of the angels off of a building. You pulled yourself out of the rubble.

"Excellent form, if not a bit sloppy on the landing." your eyes met a leg donned in black, the heel of her foot looked like a handgun. "Seven out of ten." she rated as she gave you a golf clap.

"Ah..." you didn't think this would be how you met her. You could only hold a frown, your plans never really go as planned.

"Found yourself a new playmate, love?" a woman with long hair asked as she questioned your target.

"It appears so, Jeanne." the woman responded to the woman you now know is named Jeanne. "The real question is, just exactly what game are we playing." she pondered as her gun pointed at your forehead.

You muttered under your breath, cursing whoever gave you your luck.

-

"Will you explain anything to me?" Bayonetta asked into the phone in her hand as she bit into her lollipop.

A sound of shuffling was what she heard over the phone. "Life throws unexpected surprises at all of us." a man responded over the phone. "Do you think you can keep the kid out of trouble?"

"Such a tease." Bayonetta hummed as she mused over the idea. "Babysitting has never been my forte, a delicate woman like me could never be a mother." she heard a snort from the other line. "Who is he to you, Tony Redgrave?"

She waited as the man was silent for a few seconds. "Another victim from one of my mistakes. He's the son of a friend. I screwed up and he lost his mother." he sighed before chuckling. "I guess he's interesting enough if you're looking for reasons to keep him."

"Indeed." she responded with a nod. "He obviously could never be a witch, but something inside of him reminds me of a Luman Sage." she stated her observation.

"Considering his mother it's not surprising, keep him out of trouble, yeah?" he requested again.

"Very well, but you owe me a favor after this." the witch smirked. "After all, a lady can't squander her talents for nothing in return."

What did you start?

[ ] Bayonetta began teaching you the basics of magic.

[ ] Bayonetta had you work with a man named Enzo on some contracts hunting demons.

[ ] Bayonetta had her friend Jeanne improve your combat techniques.
