Mobile Suit Gundam: Colliding Stars (Sign Up/Recruiting)

How well do the PC's on each team know each other? You mentioned LordZed and yourself fighting together, but have the rest of us gotten to know each other well? At least names?

Well its a ship so I'm pretty sure everyone on the team/crew would know each other by name at least. They have after all been in space for two months. They might not all be "friends" quite yet, since they're supposed to be from all walks of life across the colonies. So theirs going to be some conflicting opinions, and attitudes at first.

And I had that clip shown in the Fed PC's opening post, because in those characters backstories both those mobile suits, were given to them directly, and indirectly by Enigma so they would naturally leave an impression.

So, about the opening post...you didn't actually give us Fed players anything to work with. As of right now, the group hasn't even been formed yet. Assuming that both Zeon and Fed players start at the same point, then I have to wait an IC week before doing anything.

However, I would like to know if I'm expected to roleplay my own recruitment by adding in NPCs, or whether I'm actually supposed to wait.

One more thing. Are the Feds seriously on a one-week time limit to find the ship? The sentence structure of your post is confusing like that.

That was the plan the whole time, I was planning on making their OP a two part post. I'm doing the second half now, I was going to do it sooner, but I was busy with stuff today. A time skip will have happened with the new ship and crew now. Also your right a week was a bit rushed i'm pushing it back to two weeks almost the entire amount of time the Zeons have been on the colony.

@Ninjamaster227 Sorry I didn't get my sheet up, I was making it, but then I had a different idea for the kind of character I wanted to play and I wound up deciding to start over. Is there still room or would I have to go on a waitlist?

Also, at this point would a GM III be an acceptable choice of Mobile Suit?

Yeah theirs room on the federation roster, and sure a GM III would work just fine.

Also just for fun if you Fed players want you can name the Fed's command ship. (If not I'll just do it lol).

@Ninjamaster227 Have an idea for myself as the Nightingale is huge. It is not one to be used when one wants to be subtle .Would it be alight when it is not needed that I can use a modified version of the

All that I would be adding to to it is mix of armaments of the R35 Gouf and R35 Dom from GBF/GBFT and with the advancement of Psycommu tech it shouldn't suffer the drawbacks of its original systems.

Ok sure I don't have a problem with that, maybe then the Nightingale is being kept with the rest of the Zeon fleet for use later, and the clip I've had shown was the test run for it. Much like the Gundam Mk-III that my character will eventually get when his Zaku is destroyed down the line (spoilers)

Yup and the excuse is that after the fight with the feds, it was sent back with the combat data for improvements which are increasing the operating time of it.

Those pauldrons would put a space marine to shame...

Alright guys we've talked about gundam OVA's we liked and some of our model collections, here's another topic we can discuss for fun while we wait. Best characters from the series:

My Top 3 in this order;
1. Judau Ashta- ZZ Gundam (Favorite character)
2. Fon Spaak Gundam 00F- (Favorite pilot)

3. Setsuna F Sesei- Gundam 00 (Most powerful character in entire series. The man becomes a literal God at the end of 00 movie)

Most hated character;

1. Shinn Asuka- Gundam Seed Destiny

I liked a lot of the guys from iron blooded orphans... Can't set them to a list tho, they're all pretty good.

Also liked Marida from UC

Hated Amuro from the original. For gods sake man, why the hell do you not want to pilot a fucking mech?! What part of: "I get to pilot a mech" do you not like?!

Seconding this, one of my favourite pilots is Mikazuki 'Double tap' Augus.
He's definitely memorable, and stands far apart from the other gundam protagonists who are usually all "killing is bad."

The moment that most sticks with me is that brutal curb stomp he does on the downed mecha while he's escorting the train.

Most dishonorabru...

Well, in Amuro's defense (although I haven't seen the original MSG), I'm reasonably certain that a healthy teenager wouldn't want to sign up for a war...

That only happened after they gave him back to back combat missions since everyone else wasn't competent enough to bother with, though. They were driving a fifteen year old to the point of total exhaustion before he had his run off and get angry moment. I actually liked Amuro a lot for how he grew... and maybe a little bit because he didn't go ga-ga at the end of the series.

Still can't understand why people like Judau though.

1. Shinn Asuka- Gundam Seed Destiny

Okay, this is where I gotta step in. Never mind all of the wasted potential of canon Cosmic Era, but I keep hearing that Super Robot Wars Z actually made Shinn likeable and decently-written. Is there anywhere that this can actually be viewed? B/c youtube doesn't have much but attack animations and random (untranslated) clips for the first Z game, and I've gotta see HOW Shinn of all people was salvaged.

Ok i can answer at least why I like Judau so much. One he's awesome in Dynasty warriors gundam (english voice actor perfect) he had great character, and got you pumped for a fight. That is the weaker reason.

Now my largest reason is Judau is one of the few gundam main characters, who ever got to keep his innocence. ZZ Gundam started out with him as a fun loving, thrill seeking kid, and it ends with him a little worse for wear but still that innocent kid. Unlike Amuro or Kamille, Judau doesn't let the horror and responsibility he has to experience become baggage, and turn him into a darker more bitter person. He's the master of his own fate, he helps the AEUG (after trying to steal the Zeta Gundam...yeah) but he doesn't let them force him into being a soldier, this couldn't have been shown better than my favorite scene in ZZ Gundam. The asshole who smacked Amuro and Kamille Wong Lee shows up again, but unlike them Judau doesn't sit there and take it like a good little "Soldier", he dodges and hits him back. He doesn't let "Adults" dictate how he or his friends are going to live their lives. Now do not misunderstand me just, because Judau never loses what makes him "him", doesn't mean he never changes. It's just that he doesn't allow the "Adults" or their war make him into an angry person. He takes whats happened to him, and uses it as an example for how he and his sister can better their lives, without ever having to fight again.

Actually thats one of the reasons I love Fon Spaak in the 00F side story manga. Fon doesn't like killing "per say", but he loves piloting his gundams (yes he has three gundams), and he understands that when he's doing that most likely someone is going to die. Plus for the first half of the series he doesn't really have a choice, he has a bomb strapped to his throat that will kill him if he refuses or tries to take it off. Which is actually why he's my favorite pilot, he holds off the three gundam thrones by himself, while on a short seconds life support system after they remote activate his bomb, and he almost beats them before passing out.
