@Dust and echoes in response to your request to watch an MSG series, I watched all seven currently-released episodes of Unicorn 0096 on Crunchyroll over the last two days. However, I was unable to find the Unicorn OVA online. I would like to see the OVA to get the whole picture, however.

Oh...and I may have accidentally spoiled the plot for myself by trying to read up on Unicorn's backstory so I could understand what was going on...

However, I have some thoughts on Laplace's box now that I know what it is, and I wouldn't mind discussing it in PM if you've seen the OVA.

I believe the one they have on Crunchyroll is the OVA. As I understand it, an OVA is just a anime with less episodes that are each usually longer than normal.

And sure, PM away.

The OVAs are like mini-movies. They'll be about 45 minutes long except the final (7th) episode. The Gundam Unicorn anime is like 24 minutes~ ep like a standard anime.

It wasn't anywhere close to ending. By episode 7, we're only up to Palau. Plus, it's explicitly re:0096 too, which is the title they gave the television recut. According to the Gundam Wiki's list of episodes, it apparently will go up to 25 episodes, with the latest episode being released today (though it was available on Crunchyroll earlier for some reason).

Also, come to think of it, how is 0096 a "recut?" There's already 2 hours and 20 minutes of footage, more than enough for a movie, and we're not even a third through the show. If there are 25 episodes, that accounts for days of footage. This isn't a recut, it's a remake!

EDIT: Also this: Comprehensive Listing of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096 Episodes

I'd just watch the OVA because it's both the canonical go-to, and a great quality Gundam OVA... not... F91 or CCA, for example. It'd be about 2 hours shorter than watching the entire series and it's easier to binge watch. :D

Can I have a working link then? Google gave me jack shit.

We can't really start any combat scenarios just yet until we get the final two earth federation players we need, but if you guys want to do some story building Heres the IC link

Oh yeah as you've guys probably seen by now this is the kind of role play where you are allowed to create NPC's to talk to move your characters story forward.

So, are the Federation PC's on this colony as well?

No their not, I was planning something like our Fed PC's are going to be part of a task force specifically formed to track down the stolen ship. Their on the hunt and have intel that the this cell of the Son's of Zeon (Zeon PC's) are most likely in the side 6 cluster hidden somewhere. Their will be a few posts of them checking a colony, before checking this one, forcing the ship to leave That will be the first actual engagement in the RP with MS fights and background ship combat. (Just to buy us more time for the last two players)

Sorry, pet peeve of mine, but remember to tag others in your IC posts when you're interacting with them. I assume you're talking to Ninjamaster there, but a tag would clarify..

Again, sorry I had to be "that guy"

OK, I know G Gundam did that, but I thought we weren't using those absurd mechs, let alone making an original equally stupid one...
In the UC there are newtype monkey piloting Mobile suits.
They were first shown in the crossbone manga. They were an old Zeon project on new types created by Ganma Zabi that was forgotten.
This is what their suits look like.

Huh. And I was talking about the boxing kangaroo mech since it's loosely related...
