I couldn't think of a name, and I was in the middle of a D&D game when coming up for the name.

So I couldn't brainstorm. Either way, I also really didn't want this quest to end because no one could come up with a comprehensive vote.

Looks like the aptly named Plan plan wins by three votes, Now we need to wait for the OP to return ....... Maybe we can write and post omakes to pass the time?

-[] Mission 1: Lost Souls: We've confirmed that there are four soldiers within Kupfer, they were en route to the Militia Headquarters in Randgriz before being intercepted by Imperials. Maybe if we rescue these soldiers, the Gallians might welcome us with open arms. If I need to stress this enough, these soldiers need to be returned safe and sound.
Primary Objective: Recover Gallian Militia (0/4)
Secondary Objective: Mark the Prisoner Barracks for Recovery

Just want to say that I am liking the quest. I cannot get enough of the Boss and Valkyre Chronicles. However, if I may, a few complains:

This right here? It sounds disproportional in one of two ways. One, if it the "reward" really is accurate and we really ARE going to be welcomed with "open arms" for just rescuing 4 soldiers out of countless others....well, it simply doesn't feel earned. The outcome for this mission is basically skipping the need for good personal diplomacy.

Second, if it's not accurate and it's just an exaggeration then, well, it doesn't really sound like an intelligence operative talking. Clear points, goals and communication is the bread and butter of any mission briefing and if we the audience can get the wrong expectation from it then it's really not a good debriefing.

Essentially, either the wording is correct and the expected aim is to score a diplomatic Hail Mary, or it's wrong and therefore misleading.

Further more:

Straight up "if we capture this dude we can have him work for us"? I know it's part and parsel of the Metal Gear Solid V, but neither we nor Ocelot or any other person in Motherbase have a grounding in the social make up or psychology of the people in this world. Soldiers are Soldiers, true, but there are no preparatory missions to even establish the ability to do this?

To me, it feels incredibly rushed.

Yeah, I need to work on that. Allergy season is also being a bitch to me, can barely get my muse up

Gonna take a small break as my muse (at least for this quest) does not like me and my nostrils hate my lungs.
Take a break, Relax and focus on yourself, its never good to force yourself to write thats how most authors burn out, Plus it doesn't bother me none If I can wait 7 years for a story to update Im sure I can live with this.

Plan Plan: Extract Imperial Ace 1
"Boss, there's been reports of a particularly skilled soldier within a small camp not too far from Greenfield." Taking a moment to check your gear, you were satisfied with your gear. An Sz-336 chambered in nine-by-nineteen, forty round magazine, red dot/laser sight, and a suppressor mounted on the end. Your secondary was an AM-D114, mounting a suppressor, laser/flashlight hybrid, and an extended mag, chambered in .45 ACP.

Quiet was sitting opposite of you, cleaning Wicked Butterfly. In almost the blink of an eye, she reassembled the custom rifle in record time, beating Ocelot's record in reassembling his two Colt Revolvers. Now it was time to find this Imperial Ace, and hopefully get him to work for Mother Base.

Weather: Cloudy, High Chance Of Rain
Time: 2:44 PM
Location: Gallia/Imperial Frontlines
Objective: Recover Imperial Ace 'Stroheim The Storm'

...

You were used to operating with only a buddy looking over your shoulder, whether it was Quiet, D-Dog, or D-Horse. They were always there whenever shit hit the fan, a fact you were grateful for. Once Pequod reached the LZ, you dropped out of the helicopter while Quiet blitzed off towards the camp. Doing a quick check of your I-Droid's map, you found out that the camp was to the south of your location - In a large forest.

Perfect.

Starting your trek towards the camp, you estimated that it'd take twenty to thirty minutes of walking before you hit the camp itself. Just you, the wind, Quiet's humming, and the sound of a car engine- Wait.

Shit.

Dropping into the tall grass, you prepared your Sz and held your breath as the engine drew closer. A shape appeared on the horizon, a transport truck by the looks of it. That's when an idea popped into your head, or rather, a few different ideas popped into your head. You could either deploy a cardboard box marked 'FOR STROHEIM', or simply steal the truck after disabling the driver and his passenger. Now what to do...
