[x] Go to the medical bay. People are dying over there; you can save them.

[x] Golems

You immediately rush down to the Golem room. While you would like to help repel the enemy attacks yourself you know that those golems are the base's best bet of avoiding destruction. Especially with the number of husks being thrown at it.

Well, it could also avoid destruction via you guarding the entrance, but that'll only last so long as you aren't needed elsewhere, a more permanent solution is needed.

The golem factory itself is a stark place. Hour after hour Enchanters have been chipping away at the stone and metal of the various magical constructs, making sure that each and every golem is as high quality as they can get it to be.

It's necessary. While the Golems are more than a match for the Cannibals, normal Husks, and Marauders the more advanced ones can easily defeat a low quality, mass produced Golem and match a standard one in a contest of strength. Just the smallest bit of extra effort can mean the difference between a golem losing to a mechanical abomination and getting the people it's protecting killed or it triumphing, and putting yet another tortured soul out of its misery.

There are several types of golems present in the base.

The first are the basic golems, your average super strength stone constructs. They do have runes carved in for extra toughness, but that's common these days. In general you can expect these things to fight on par with the enemy's more powerful units like the Brutes.

Next come the snake golems. Nasty things inspired the many horrible snake based youkai the Enchanters have encountered over the years; these golems are known for their ability to remain stealthy despite being basically moving rocks. They can turn invisible to hide from prying eyes and have toxin glands that can match up to anything short of Hydra venom. These things have probably been causing the Reapers a whole lot of grief.

After that you notice the runner golems. Also known as the fast golems amongst the youkai community. These things are a danger to any youkai species up to an A class, and an S class can find them really irritating to have to deal with in larger numbers. As their name indicates fast golems are speedy fighters able to keep up with most youkai, although the likes of the werewolf still leave them in the dust. These things are also strong too, although once again Vampires easily have them beat when it comes to muscle.

Finally are the eight Noble Golems, these creations are amongst the most well known the Enchanters' creations, and are easily some of the most powerful. While much slower than the runner golems, these things more than make up for it in strength and durability. These golems are able to wrestle with a Hydra and take multiple full power blows from a Vampire before finally going down. They also have runes that allow them to negate most esoteric magical effects. Thing like Aqua's dimensional cuts wouldn't even phase these golems. Although, you're pretty sure some of the nastier Hydra toxins could still do a number on them. The defining feature in these golems are the cannon runes on their hands. These weapons fire a powerful beam that have varying effects, even a Hydra like yourself would be reticent to let themselves get hit by one.

It is these Noble Golems that you will be powering up with your blood.

Time to get to work.

XXXXXXX

It takes a while, but all the Golems are powered up.

SMASH!

Good thing too, you sense something powerful attacking the base.

There are still lesser golems you can power up down here, but your help might be needed elsewhere.

What do you do?
[x] Stay and power up the remaining Golems.
[x] Go to the medical bay, that thing is going to cause a lot of injury.
[x] Go up and join the fight with the Noble Golems. Whatever is up there has to be strong if Moka hasn't killed it yet.

[x] Joining the fight

There is no question in what you should do.

Your friend is in the thick of it, and things are clearly getting worse. Especially if something up there is throwing blows powerful enough that you can feel them all the way down here.

Sure the Golems are already going to help, but why should you rely upon them alone?

Another S class up there should be of help, and more than anything, ending the fight should help prevent further casualties. You can make further improvements to the base's other stuff later.

One by one the Noble class Golems follow you out of the base, and up to the surface.

You have a fight to get to.

XXXXXXXXXXXX

The battle up at the entrance to the base is utter chaos.

Thousands of Husks are attempting to swarm in, but are thankfully being repelled by the defenders.

Some Banshees have also arrived. But they are also being held back as the base's own youkai join the fray, beating back the Asari Husks with their great strength. Yukari has joined the battle as well. She mostly keeps at long range but whenever a Banshee closes in on her she pulls out a massive Enchanter made hammer from nowhere and pounds them flat.

The real problem comes in the form of the massive abomination against everything that is good and decent in the world that is rampaging around.

And when you say abomination you mean it. You can't even tell what the Reapers used to as a baseline for this monstrous Husk.

It definitely works on four legs, you can tell that much at least. Other than that what this thing used to be is a complete mystery to you. It has a lot of human husks crammed into it though, as the entirety of its back legs are made out of said husks. Its front legs are made of some strange worm monsters, not the size or power of Thresher Maws mind you, but you wouldn't be surprised if whatever these things used to be were related to Thresher Maws. Its body is just one mass of cybernetic flesh, you can't even tell what makes it up. Meanwhile the tail seems to be purely mechanical, thank goodness for that, this thing is ugly enough as is. Finally its head seems to be made from some giant crab slash squid monster.

So yeah overall it wasn't pleasant to look at.

Moka was fighting it one on one, and was holding her own, but who the final victor will be is in doubt for the moment?

Do you transform?
[x] Yes
[x] No

Who do you help out?
[x] Help Moka fight the Abomination.
[x] Help Yukari fight the Banshees
[x] Help the regular troops against the Husk swarm.

[x] No
[x] Help the regular troops against the Husk swarm.

Moka's got a lot of power and Yukari can take care of herself. It's the poor redshirts regular troops that need our help the most

Alright boys the next codex, and probably the last all things considered.

Codex Kishin
The Kishin also named the 'Demon Gods' in the local human culture are the final stage in the life cycle of the 'Oni' youkai, and are by far the most powerful. Being the most powerful stage of an already powerful monster Kishin are universally considered to be S class monsters and can even fight older Vampires one one one and come out on top. Since Kishin are powerful individual's within a species as opposed to a species itself the exact behavior that they display very's greatly, but in combat they are almost universally known to be powerful berserkers, and more than a few have even taken up learning magic on the side. The most well known Kishin is one of the Three Dark Lords, he most powerful monsters in the continent of Asia.

[x] Transformation

You glare at the monster fighting with Moka. Whatever this thing used to be, it is an affront to everything that is right in the world now, and it needs to be destroyed. Hopefully, between you and Moka that can be accomplished without too much misery on your end.

With your target sighted you quickly enter your transformation. This is one of the few times you've actually been able to do so since this whole thing started, and the only time you've done so when not in a complete and utter rage.

It feels good to be in your true form again even if it's in these circumstances. Your heads haven't been able to just stretch themselves out in forever.

The abomination quickly notices you however, and charges before ramming into you.

You don't budge an inch, and wrap your various heads around the creature's limbs.

There, now it's trapped.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

The monster roars as it attempts to escape. It even managing to tear off your heads, but you hold on tight as two more heads replace the one you lost. The heads not holding it down sink their teeth into the beast, and begin injecting some of your most potent venoms into it to destroy it from the inside out.

Moka makes sure to take advantage of her opponent's new found immobility by letting loose a barrage of kicks against the beast that cause it heavy damage.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAG!

The Beast's eyes light up, and you sense some energy coming from them. It's preparing to make a big attack.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

CRUNCH!

Sadly for it, you had no intention of letting it get off an attack at you, and have one of your heads tear out its eyes before it has a chance to use them to launch any kind of attack against your person.

SMASH!

Moka doesn't have any more reason to be more merciful to it than you do. She kicks off one of its arms, freeing up yet more of your heads to dig into it.

SMASH!

SMASH!

SMASH!

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!

Eventually, Yukari finishes up the Banshees and joins in on your attack on the abomination with powerful spells launched from her masterfully crafted wand.

Long story short, Yukari joining the fight is what seals the deal. If it had been Moka or yourself alone it might have stood an even chance of winning. The two of you together slants things heavily against it. With the two of you and a master Witch all going at it? There's no contest, the thing is dead.

It takes a long to time finish it off sure, but the ultimate outcome was never in question once all three of where in the fray.

It's good to have at least some of the gang back together.

XXXXXXXXXXX

After the battle you get a message telling you to head back to base. Although you do get some time to say goodbye.

Yukari is pretty sad to see you go, but that's a given, the two of your promise to meet up with each other again sometime. She really wants to go on another swimming trip with you.

You do meet Yukari's boyfriend Andrei before you leave though. He seems like a pretty decent guy, and you can see why Yukari likes him. The fact that he is rather attractive by human and witch standards certainly doesn't hurt things. Apparently, he also tolerates a bad habit of Yukari's that you can't seem to comprehend for some reason.

Oh well, in the end you like him enough that when you threat to tear his arms off if he breaks Yukari's heart is only because doing so is a formality demanded by your culture, and not out of any real malice.

Welp… back to the old grind.

XXXXXXXXXXX

Man the base is really getting busy. It's even more hectic than when you first arrived in here!

Something big is going to happen, you can just feel it.

It really starts to stress you out all things considered. You know the higher ups have something planned but you don't know what. So you work on potions and talk with Moka to keep your minds off things.

And then they day comes.

Where are you when the plan starts?
[x] On the Citadel
[x] On Mars
[x] Still in the USA
[x] In Greece
[x] In Italy

Almost forgot, I've got a bit of busy week ahead of me, so updates may be a bit sporadic.

I do hope to have this thing finished by the end of next week though.
