MEDIC! - Trauma-Team Quest: A Cyberpunk 2020 MedTech Adventure

[X] Go out for a nice dinner, somewhere local. Get dressed up and make it a proper Date Night
[X] Ask Doc Lee Sr. for that help he offered - Well, he did say to call him if you needed anything. And while you doubt a doctor specializing in local homeopathy and traditional medicine has a fastrack line to cybereyes, you're sure he knows someone who does.

[X] Go Uptown to Kiroshi's Aid Station at Ground Zero - Kiroshi is giving out cybereyes, provided you qualify, and you cross uptown to go to them. Given you're a brand new clinic, they might put up some fuss, but you know how to deal with suits, and you've had enough setbacks for one day.

People! READ THE POST! Of course, maybe it would've been better not to stick it in the AN...
Moratorium on this vote is 24 Hours!

It lives!

I greatly missed this quest.

The biggest chunk of writers block was the conversation between Widget and Jeanne. I knew they needed to talk about something, but finding their voices was like pulling teeth and I'm still not happy with it. But done is the enemy of perfect and I'm glad to be back!
I'd say you did it perfectly. The bit with the sticker was incredibly sweet.

Seems like we have the attention of the locals now. That's good, I'd say. While my initial impulse was to go with Kiroshi, we need to consider the following.

We're still a stranger to Little China. If we want to involve ourselves with the community, we're going to need to meet the locals and trade favors with them. Doc. Lee Sr. will not only provide supplies for us, they'll also give us contacts.

That's invaluable to get an in on the people and power brokers of Little China and shows them that we're willing to play ball and involve ourselves with the community in a manner that's beyond just making money.

They threw the ball at us, so let's throw it back. Dribble it even if I can torture this metaphor some more. :V

Ok, so, pros and cons of going to the shadowy local kingpin:

Pros:
- ties us into the neighborhood
- gives us fresh edgerunner connections and clients
- likely a reliable source of 30 pairs of cyber eyes, as it's going to be the first ask after he gave his word
- aid center is going to give us hell about our credentials, eating time. ("Qualifying centers")
- we could still double dip and go to the aid center afterwards, do some embezzlement

Cons:
- mob connections might draw heat and conflict with people we'd prefer to hang out with
- it puts us in the position of owing him a favor, when he gives us 30 cyber eyes in the middle of a tremendous shortage

I thought I had more cons when I started this list...

I agree with @LucidProp since I don't want to be reliant on or be relied on by TT with how they've showed no interest when SV-11 was discovered while being a good or at least decent relation with the locals.

Cool, I think there's broad agreement. In other subjects, I hope this means our former carmates are recruitable, it would be nice to have a couple more solid friendships around us. I think that our star turn on the vids immediately diagnosing the weapon and giving treatment protocols is going to make us look like the one competent actor in this whole sorry drama, but I'm not sure how to leverage that credibility. Maybe it'll just be rep writ large. I'm glad to have a relationship with search and rescue that is positive, and it seems we'll have a gang owing us a favor if we patch the kids up. Hopefully there's no conflict with the kingpin to be had there.

Just a reminder, vote's still closed folks. We can discuss and plan but votes prior to opening won't count.

Here's the countdown:

That aside, ouch to Lance.

Seems like the old crew's been falling apart, and he's the one catching blame for it. Wonder what caused things to go so wrong.

We should contact him and the others, see if they'll be interested in a new job. We can't offer pay that's even half as good as TT, but the working conditions are much better!

"Once again, I'm Brent Steel, Night City Media 8, reporting live: The lockdown of Black Lotus Club continues after the mass casualty event and what we believe to be a terrorist attack inside the Neo-Goth hotspot. As Trauma Team and the Night City Emergency Services do their vital work to empty the club of as many casualties as possible, many are still potentially trapped on the second floor of the club, with which there has been no communication. While we can't show you footage of what's going on, viewers, we can tell you chemical respirators and sealed hardsuits are being issued to responding emergency personnel and security services, in response to a meeting of Trauma Team's leadership earlier tonight. NCPD Dispatch has confirmed that MaxTac has been deployed as a last resort emergency response unit, but-"

I mentioned it kinda obliquely, but the highlighted line is TraumaTeam responding to your diagnosis of SV-11, pushed through by Lance - only spun doctored for the press so they look better. You'll have an opportunity to redress that later.

Hope we get to do that soon cause I'd want their reputation to take a hit.

Tour the Neighborhood and use the local contacts. Better to try to integrate and familiarize on a street level. We're trying to run a clinic and that means that people need to know us, and people need to trust us.

Going out to Kiroshi right now to try to get some of the aid seems like it'd be a shitshow -- every single clinic and hospital in town will be there, and they're going to prioritize whomever has the bigger backers because they're most likely to have the most patient volume as well. I feel like it would wind up burning valuable time compared to trying to source more local.

I say taking the local doctor and martial artist's offer, will it have strings attached? Perhaps, but no one exists in a vacuum and you don't build relationships without swapping favors. All in all a family practice and dojo in Chinatown is the best entrance point, former looks after the sick and latter looks after kids; owners of such places wouldn't look to start troubles.

Man, is the best you guys can come up with really just Dinner. How bout the Cyberpunk equivalent of the movies, Live shows, Cute Zoo animals(granted from what little I've heard, of how animals are extinct to sh!t or is implied such, holograms should do....they have those right?),.....A nice walk?

Just throwing out ideas. I'm a need confirmation for most of these though, they exist right?

If it wins the vote, I'll make it happen, canon or no!

Alternatively, we are in Little China. Sampling the street food and just plain exploring aimlessly would also be fun.

The TT workers have kept to their end of the bargain, true to word as good as gold, and while the AV Leader takes on the bureaucratic red tape and the media pressure, the grunts have been doing their part stabilizing patients, doing any needed field removals and checking in on their principle whenever you need to step away.

Their principalis... alive.
principle/principal, and a missing space.

The draw of picking Little China as the base of operations was to get more interactions like this one. Let's see where it will lead us.

Still a bit early, oops.
Definitely think Kiroshi is the move here, plays to our strengths.
