Off to the Exalted Discussion thread!universalperson said:I knew he would get involved somehow.
So wait, Mister Sunshine is actually in the ME universe? I thought he was only appearing in in TIM's head?
Yes. But I wanted to ask a question myself..which was already in technical territory.Tavi said:It's a directly plot relevant question, not an invitation to a mechanics discussion.
And in response univeralperson, yes. Yes he is.
...forgive my bluntness, but that was kind of rude.Durabys said:Off to the Exalted Discussion threrad with you!
Please. Go to the discussion thread to discuss any things Exalted related.
Thanks, and I have another plot question. I was under the impression the ED couldn't manifest any sort of "avatar" bodies outside of Malefas (thanks to my lack of knowledge about Exalted). Could he always appear in the ME-universe (of this fanfic) and he just didn't have a reason to until now, or did something happen that let him come in?Tavi said:It's a directly plot relevant question, not an invitation to a mechanics discussion.

Gotcha, thanks!trivialrealities said:I am 90% certain that the surrender oaths of the Yozi only prevent them from entering Creation. Mister Sunshine has in fact left Malfeas before, showing up in Nullspace (which is metaphysically adjacent to Autochthon's exiled world-body in canon).
However, upon arrival he got beat up and questioned by the Viator. So being the coward he is, he slipped away again.
Also, it's worth noting that transgressing boundaries is part of the Ebon Dragon's very nature. If he's imprisoned or constrained by any means, his Excellency prevents him from taking any action that will not help him escape, and he has plenty of Charms to help him in that.
Yes it was rude. Because last time such off-topic-ness has summoned Aleph&co which would cause a shitstorm with off-topic-posters and later Gregg saying he is not going to write until we get back on topic.universalperson said:...forgive my bluntness, but that was kind of rude.

So, person A asks a plot based question, and you chew him out over it because you want to go onto Mechanic Discussion land?Durabys said:Yes. But I wanted to ask a question myself..which was already in technical territory.
Ok. I acknowledge. this is my fault. I am sorry.GhanjRho said:It WASN'T off topic, is the thing. It was a directly plot-related question. Same as the guy asking which Charm Shepard was using in the opening. While I appreciate that you're trying to keep it on-topic, you're not a Mod, don't act like one. Use a little tact, and don't assume that every mechanics question is off-topic.
No. The Asari CAN Exalt..only that several "entities" in eons past, from Protheans to Reapers, made sure with Motonic Genetics that the probability of an Heroic Asari Exalting is NEAR ZERO..Nightblade said:I don't think Asari can exalt. Gregg has been implying they can't
That too.Valiran said:Akuma =/= Green Sun Prince. GSPs are the ones with altered Solar Exaltations, Akuma are beings that have been altered by the Yozis, and can be anything from a Celestial Exalt to a bog-standard mortal.
What's that? Invasive neurosurgery of one of my backstabbing hierarchy souls to turn them into a better representation of myself? So that I can both better account for the not-so-insignificant mortals in my plans and also keep my enemies guessing on whether or not they are directly dealing with me?Hazard said:Crap, either Sunshine is a high ranking demon, an Akuma or GSP that allows himself to be puppeted. Although I'm not sure the last is possible.
Doesn't matter really, however you put it, this is trouble.
Oh no. We will meet TEDie's Fetich Soul, but Mr. Sunshine isn't it.trivialrealities said:Why do I suspect that Mister Sunshine is in fact the Ebon Dragon's fetich soul, that betrayed his progenitor by being a relatively decent being, and who the Shadow of All Things has in turn betrayed by altering him into yet another vile creature?
And the sign was...correct? But that would mean the obvious lie...wasn't. Which betrays our expectations...oh he's good.Leliel said:I feel like there's a neon sign rotating around Mr. Sunshine's head:
"TOTALLY NOT THE EBON DRAGON. EBON DRAGON IS NOT THIS GUY."
So, are fortune cookies Garrus's thing, now?GreggHL said:Garrus fixes the helmet back onto his head. Popping open a compartment on his waist, he pulls out a small, dried cookie formed into a conch. Cracking it in his hand, he tosses it in front of him. "Wait," Shepard says, "Shouldn't we be chasing after-"
