[x] We can't keep this secret. I'll protect him if I have to, but we need to tell her.

Love the quest, first time voting! I want to validate Mei's trust in us.

[x] If he's in danger, we need to get him out of camp and find somewhere for him to hole up.

[X] I'll make up something. We'll keep Brindle secret.

I like this dude, I think Vesper likes this dude. I think it makes sense that Vesper wouldn't sell him out immediately. If this eventually bites us in the ass with Mei, so be it. She doesn't really like us that much anyway. Sure, we helped with the autopsy and are proving to be useful, but Mei is a big girl and can take care of herself. Brindle seems to be trusting us to help him get through this alive. Generally, trying to help people in an immediate sense while missing the long-term consequences is Vesper's thing. Let's do the maybe short-term thing and help him. It might not be the right thing in the long run, but it's the right thing now.

The numbers finally have an ending! Let's go with the most head take option

[X] I'll make up something. We'll keep Brindle secret.

Reciprocal trust is all well and good when you're not a spy. Or working with spies. Or an investigator in the middle of an ongoing case. Things like that are situations where, instead, trust is placed in you and you act in accordance with that trust on behalf of others.

Keeping Brindle secret is solidly ahead now so I'm locking it in, I'll post later.

I don't want to repeat myself too much on this but we do have an influx of new readers from the winterfest nomination; I'm very busy with other stuff at the moment, when times are good I post more than what I am currently posting.

[X] I'll make up something. We'll keep Brindle secret.

"I'll make up something. We'll keep Brindle a secret."

FINCHER: "Well... if you're sure."

Brindle looks palpably relieved.

BRINDLE: "Thank you, you won't regret it."

FINCHER: "So, what are we going to do now?"

"What do you mean?"

FINCHER: "Well, we can't just carry on as though we don't know this, right?"

"Why not?"

FINCHER: "I don't know, it's weird! I mean, no offense kid, this is weird. I thought you were one of my talon! I thought I knew you."

BRINDLE: "Hardly anyone knows me. You probably know me better than most."

FINCHER: "Well, that's sad, but it don't stop it from being weird. Maybe you should take him, boss."

BRINDLE: "Oh, okay."

"Me? I've already got Lily as an aide."

FINCHER: "Right, but we could come up with something, right?"

[ ] I think Brindle should stay here.
[ ] He should be the one to decide.
[ ] Alright, I'll come up with something so he can stay with me.

You know, while this whole Sidereal mission is a shitshow in a lot of ways, it's doing an exemplary job as training for Brindle. If he gets through this mess by relying on an amnesiac tire fire who broke arcane fate by sheer refusal to bow to common sense, then nothing will ever rattle him again.
