@mrttao, any chance to change the blunt weapons on Thursday to Marksmanship (Modern Handguns) or Energy Weapons?
If we only took blunt on Wednesday in order to go on the Gecko hunt, we should use the slot to train different weapon types, after all, you never know what weapon will be available, and having a passing knowledge in all types should be beneficial.

That's a reason to maximize blunt in improvised weaponry. There will almost always be something you can whack someone with. But we're wearing down a finite amount of bullets until we pull repair magic out of our ass.

To clarify, qualifying for a hunt was not the only reason I took it, but one of the reasons.

The thing about blunt is that it is always available, pick off something off the ground and whack something with it. It doesn't run out of bullets and it is the easiest thing to find.

I am all for mastering all the weapon types in the long term. but in the short term we need to master one weapon first before we start diversifying. our blunt is super low right now and will still hugely benefit from at least another day's training.
I also think it would be nice to have as first weapon something that is easily acquired, repaired, and has infinite ammo. On top of that, it synergizes very well with our soon to be acquired super strength. Shooting bullets does not really benefit all that much from our fitness

That all being said, I am willing to compromise on it if it is necessary. Although at the moment it seems that larekko agrees with focusing on blunt for now.

We got peak human fitness. That is not enough to outrun a deathclaw or outfight a supermutant.
it's not even enough to beat a normal human with a gun

also, fitness stacks with whatever form we shapeshift into. no reason not to max it out ASAP.

I mean, this isn't skyrim, we don't actually have to run up and hit people. We can use guns!

huh, just found out most of the mutated animals and creatures we see in fallout was because of the FEV not because of radiation.

Actually it is. Just get running up high enough, or marksmanship. Actually fitness in those situations would be redundant because better fitness wouldn't do anything for us then. The fight would be over in the same amount of time whether or not we had a higher fitness level or not with those kinds of threats. It is skill that allows one to dominate in the wastelands.

Not according to all the previous headway quests as well as
Running 4: You could easily be a professional sprinter or runner, and are superior to many people on Earth-0 in terms of your form and composure.
The proper form given to us by the running skill certainly helps, but form is not enough to run faster. fitness determines all our base physical stats and that is what our base running speed is based on. Running skill provides a small multiplier on top of it. (superspeed will provide a massive bonus on top of that when we acquire that).
The fight would be over in the same amount of time whether or not we had a higher fitness level or not with those kinds of threats.
what fight?
That is not enough to outrun a deathclaw or outfight a supermutant.
A peak human cannot outrun those things. Superhuman fitness might allow outrunning some things. superhuman running form would probably help too in conjunction with it. (not on its own, not without actual super speed)

Eh, not truly happy with any of them but this is probably closest. I think not taking advantage of the high chances on Hunter and Survival is probably a waste.

with the limited number of choices we get per day some things needed to be cut, so I focused on what I consider Core abilities while planning to work those into the vote next update along with Gecko hunting.
also Survival was picked for both days

That was a derp, I meant to type Scavenging, looked away halfway through posting.

I would have cut First Aid at 50%, honestly.

I picked the First Aid/Medicine banking on the likelihood of it leading to the ability to make our own Stimpaks and other useful Chems.
that said both Scavenging and Repair are important skills to pick up but I could only fit one into the vote.
