Magical Girl Lyrical Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Amy paired off with Signum;
Amy with Signum, huh? That's an interesting choice, and not one that I would've expected. Though come to think of it, Amy herself is probably delighted to not be treated as the medic.
I fell asleep at midnight, and I was up by 3:15, and even as I sprang awake like a switch had been flipped inside my head, I took note of and kind of resented the extra fifteen minutes I'd been unconscious. I'd have to ask Hayate if there was some way to eliminate the need for sleep.
Armsmaster would also be very interested in knowing the answer to that question.
A fourth finger. "Three girls who look a lot like..."

"Min," I interrupted, "I don't need to know everything that's happening on the internet."
Taylor, no! That could've been important! You can't just leave statements like that half-finished! Where is your sense of curiosity?!
I didn't have time for this. Not now. I had to... I had things to do. I didn't want to feel things, and I'd created a third partition and shunted it all into it before I'd even realized it. Then I forced myself to drain the feelings back into my primary consciousness. My chest grew tight, and I couldn't quite seem to catch my breath. I swallowed, but the lump in my throat wouldn't go away. The feeling wove itself beneath my skin and through my body, and I shuddered.
Character development. Learning how to actually deal with feeling things instead of creating locked rooms in your mind to shunt them off to. It's the touches like these that really show how far Taylor's come.

Actually both Subaru and Ginga use two Devices - one Revolver Knuckle each, Mach Caliber for Subaru and Blitz Caliber for Ginga.
It makes sense that Vicky wouldn't need that second device. Subaru and Ginga used them primarily for maneuverability, but Vicky already has a handle on the whole flying thing, not to mention the rest of her parahuman powerset.

So close! You were so close!

The Jacket relevation hit hard. Does this mean she was wearing a white version of that dress all along earlier?

She was not, no. I kept wanting to describe it as the funeral dress post-Behemoth, but because Taylor never noticed the change, I never had much opportunity to do so until the Subaru/Teana interlude. That said, there is a reference to it being a dress before that, just not one that is drawn attention to.

So Min's body is less physical and more magic-blah-blah-blah-don't-worry-about-it?

Min's body is a continent-sized biological monstrosity locked away in an alternate dimension. But if you mean the body she projects and operates on Earth Bet, then yes, that is a magical construct. If it suffers damage she certainly won't enjoy the experience, though, and it being destroyed would be extremely unpleasant.

Don't you mean "formerly biological monstrosity" ? I thought the process that created Min also had some "significant changes" for Queen Administrator ..

Let me rephrase - I thought it was closer to the Book of Darkness than a giant blob of might-be-flesh and Cthulu-wishes-he-had-it-so-good horror..

Sort of. The change certainly moved her in that direction, altering that giant blob of might-be-flesh with the same Belkan bioengineering process that altered Taylor, but there's still a literal mountain of (now altered) biomass there. Among the changes: Queen Administrator has a Linker Core now.

In Glorious Belka, even Eldritch Beings can become Magical Girls.

If it helps, Min would strenuously object to being collected back into Zion. Assuming Zion were able to collect her. Doesn't GU have that power at the moment?
Speaking theoretically (I don't know if there's any Word of God on the matter), Zion should be able to recollect shards, somehow. He HAS to do it at the end of a cycle, and unlike his partner, he didn't screw up and cast off any shards that he wasn't supposed to. We didn't see him ever actually do that, but then again, he never really cared about it during Worm, since it wasn't the designated end-time for the cycle, and there was never a case where 'recollect the shard from this parahuman' was the most efficient way of dealing with a threat (it was usually more along the lines of 'put a laser through their brain'). Though, whether or not he'd still be able to interface with Min and collect her after she, er, became a teenager, well, who knows?

Pretty sure collecting the Shards at the end of the Cycle was Eden's job, which is why he's stuck.

Possibly, but... my impression was that, while they need two Entities to perform the cycling, they both have more or less equivalent capabilities (though they employ different tactics). Since they both distribute their own shards, it only makes sense to me that they're each capable of collecting shards again as well; otherwise, Zion would be dependent upon Eden, but Eden wouldn't need Zion. My impression was that it was after they've harvested the shards that they need each other, to mix together all of that information that they've harvested to make new shards, in the same way that humans need two sets of genetic data to make a new human being. ...But again, disclaimer, this is speculation, interpretation, and not-particularly-fresh memories.

But would he want to collect a shard teenager?

Shardteen: YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND ME! I HATE YOU! WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE! (storms off) :anger:
Zion: :???:

From the SB thread:

--------

QA: "I can explain!"

Scion: [Expectation]

QA: "Um. I... really, really wanted to be Taylor Hebert, so I..." *long, rambling explanation follows*

Scion: [Paternal Disappointment]

QA: "God, it's like you're not even listening to me!"

Scion: [impatience] [Consideration of Destruction]

QA: "No! You leave her alone, Dad! You harm one hair on her head and I'll never forgive you! Never!"

Scion: *sighs*

GU shows up and does 'power grab' on Taylor ... this has no apparent effect on Taylor but Min vanishes and GU gets a new ghost.

Cue 10 minutes of everyone else sitting around eating popcorn while they watch one of the most scary parahumans in existence get beaten into submission by one of her own ghosts.

Min returns to normal ... GU asks if somebody can let her go back to the birdcage now, because she likes the quiet there and she'll be good she promises.
If it suffers damage she certainly won't enjoy the experience, though, and it being destroyed would be extremely unpleasant.
I could see it being unpleasant for whoever destroyed her too, first from Taylor ... and then shortly after from when QA uses their linker core to tear a hole through reality and Min shows up again looking even more upset than Taylor.
