I wonder if the whole dark matter thing is us simply seeing really really advanced aliens.
The whole thing about dark matter is that it doesn't exist on earth, rather when we look at far away stars we see that they move as if gravity is wrong. so we invented "dark matter" to compensate. but what if its moving wrong because of artificial actions?

Well, its doing this over the entire universe, and has been since nearly the beginning of the universe. Galaxy clusters are a thing because Dark matter pulled enough material together into one nearby place to make the galaxies form near each other. Or at least started the process, as more regular matter gathered near the Dark matter packets then that pulled more matter closer, etc.

1. you are confusing dark matter with the other darks. (dark energy, dark fluid, dark flow, etc)
2. its been 13.8 billion years since the big bang. The milky way galaxy is 12.5 +/- 3 billion years old. Our solar system formed about 4.568 billion years. earth around 4.54 billion years ago. life formed on it about a billion years later... huh. I honestly didn't expect those numbers. I Thought there might be aliens out there with 10 billion years on us but it seems somewhat unlikely now. Still, even just 1 billion years is a huge leg up

My first line about it being there from the beginning of the universe might be overstating how long its been there, but otherewise, yes I do mean Dark matter.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it turns out all Dark affinity users, as a side effect of manipulating one of the more "primal" elements, actually have a multitude of spirits/voices in their heads, whispering unusual choices of actions for them to do.

Some users can suppress those freaky thoughts and act normal towards other people.

But those who give into the voices?
Well, I guess that's one reason why people aren't so fond of Dark affinity users.

Meanwhile, Kazuto has his own peanut gallery (read: SV) dictating his actions. :p

But I don't really want to sound uptight here, but I want you guys know that there are consequences for all actions we make here. Even if they're made for the sake of comedy, in this quest, there are things that will be played rather realistically in order to deconstruct cliche that always happen in harem genre, or anime in general.

I know this sounds petty from a QM, and I don't want to stop you guys from having fun, but I don't want things to become unsalvageable to the point where we may reach bad ends.

In the end, though, this is a quest, so it's your choice. As a QM, I'll play this quest according to the choices you guys make, but when shit hit the fan, I want you to prepare what's gonna come to us.

Oh well looks I got to throw out most of my battle and fun plans as it goes along.

Though it won't stop me from trying to make us look like a fool yet a genius at the same time.
