Magic Knight Quest (Surprise, you are a Harem Hero now, SV)

[X] Follow her to the exit

Let's just follow Robin. Its probably rude to stay behind while she leads the way for the moment; we can come back to the temple to examine the statue later.

[X] Take a last glance at the statue

===

You stop for a while to take a last glance at the statue. It's just something that you decide on a whim and there is no deep meaning behind such action. You specifically look at the statue of Hecate, one of the deities of magic who granted the power of Magic Knight to the Eight Heroes of Cataclysm. For some reasons, you feel a little strange while looking at the statue.

"What's the matter, Kazuto?" Robin asks.

"Oh, it's nothing..." You reply her question. "It's just that-"

"...!!"

There is a surprised look on Robin's face. Before you can ask her about it, you suddenly feel lightheaded. Robin shouts something at you, but you are unable to hear her. She immediately moves closer to you and take your hands, as if trying to pull you back from sinking into an unknown depth. Then she mutters something, and both of you are engulfed in a ball of light. And at that moment, everything goes back to normal, but the experience seems to have left you disoriented and dizzy.

"W-what's going on?" You ask Robin.

"That was dangerous..." Robin mutters. "You almost got sucked into the void due to the presence of a divine being."

"Huh?" You give her a confused look. "A divine being?"

"Yes," Robin nods. "When this temple was made, Hecate left a piece of herself inside the statue of herself, giving the statue some kind of awareness. Let's just say that the statue is a fragment of Hecate here. For some reasons, your presence causes the power of the statue to go haywire, creating a rift of void in the fabric of reality, and it will suck you into it. I'm not sure how that happens, but I guess it's because of your Dark Affinity that this kind of thing happens..."

"T-that sounds... dangerous," you say.

"Don't worry, though. Thanks to my power, I manage to contain the effect of the rift and put it into an alternate pocket dimension so that the other people who are in this temple are unharmed," Robin explains. Outside of the sphere of light both of you are currently in, the people outside are unharmed and... frozen? It seems that the time has stopped for these people. "We're lucky that I'm here with you. The temple might've collapsed if I weren't here."

That somehow just raises a few questions.

"Umm... w-what's going on?" You ask. "Putting the matter of me being her causing this problem in the first place aside, how did you do this?" You ask as you look at the frozen temple-goers. "I don't think this kind of power is possible. Creating an alternate pocket dimension? Stopping time? I don't think normal Magic Knights can do this."

"I-I was hoping you didn't point that out," Robin says, as if feeling guilty. "I... I don't want you to think that I'm a weirdo or something..."

"N-no, that's not what I meant," you tell her. "It's just... this is too sudden, and some kind of explanation would be nice, right?"

"I guess I should explain it to you, then. But first, let's get out of this place..." Robin suggests.

"And I should restart time for them too," Robin adds.

Robin snaps her fingers and the sphere of light disappears. Time restarts for the temple-goers. They act as if nothing has happened. This unnerves you a little, but before you can mull over such a fact, Robin takes your hand and immediately pulls you outside of the temple. Both of you retrieve your Soul Gears and walk away from the temple.

A few minutes after leaving the temple, both of you head over to a park. Both of you sit on a bench so that Robin can tell you about everything.

"First of all," Robin begins. "I don't mean to hide this from you or everyone. I don't think this is a big secret or anything, but I don't want you to treat me differently after learning of the truth about me," she tells you.

"That's okay," you shrug. "I mean, while I want to know the truth, I don't think it's a big deal about what you really are, Robin," you tell her.

"..." Robin stares at you for a moment before she sighs.

"Alright," Robin says. "Well, to tell you the truth, I'm not quite a human."

"Not quite human?" You frown.

"Yes," she nods. "Or, to be more precise, I'm a half-human. And my name, Robin Nightsong is just the name for my human half. My other name, which is my true name, is... Circe."

"Circe?" For some reason, that name sounds familiar to you. You might have read about that name somewhere from a book about mythologies before.

"In Greek mythology, Circe is the name of the goddess of magic and she is the daughter of Hecate," Robin explains. "There are some accounts that she is not a goddess, but a demigoddess whose father is a human. Of course, that's what the mythology has about Circe. In reality, Circe was born long after the Cataclysm after Hecate fell in love with a mortal man."

"So... you are a demigoddess? The daughter of the goddess of magic herself?" You ask, staring at Robin in wonder.

"Yes, I am a demigoddess," Robin nods, smiling. "My mother is Hecate, the one whom we prayed to earlier."

"And... since you're a demigoddess, you can stop time and create alternate dimensions?" You ask.

"Y-yes, but if compared to my mother, my power isn't really that exceptional. I mean, a Magic Knight can theoretically stop time too. It's just that my divine blood allows me to do that sort of stuff," Robin looks a little sheepish. "I'd rather not use that power and rely on ordinary magic instead, but I didn't expect the statue of my mother to react to your presence in such a way, so I ended up using my divine magic in order to prevent the rift of void from sucking you into it."

"Oh..." You say. "Well, I don't know what to say about this new fact, but I don't think it's really that surprising..." You smile wryly at Robin. "I mean, you have this kind of aura." You scratch the back of your head. "There's something... how do i say it? Fascinating about you, I guess?"

"Fascinating? My, aren't you a flatterer, Kazuto?" Robin giggles.

"T-that's... that's not what I meant," you tell her, feeling embarrassed.

Well, now you know the truth about Robin, about her being a demigoddess. You're surprisingly okay with that.

What to say now?

[ ] Ask her about what it's like to be a half-human, half-goddess
[ ] Ask for her opinion about what had happened at the temple earlier
[ ] Ask her about the cool stuff a demigoddess like her can do
[ ] Write-in

Alright, here's the update. Sorry it took me so long to update this quest. There will be a few adjustments for this quest, including the fixing of character sheets and whatnot. I hope you like this update, and please vote, boys and girls!!

[x] Ask for her opinion about what had happened at the temple earlier

Nice to see this active again, Prince. Hope your muse inspires all your quests across the various sites.

[X] Ask for her opinion about what had happened at the temple earlier

Yeah, I would really like to know how and why we were about to die before anything else.

[X] Ask her about the cool stuff a demigoddess like her can do

She will like to know that we are interested in her, but without trying to invade her personal history, avoiding a social mine.

Edit: Glad to have you back Arjuna.
