Magic Knight Quest (Surprise, you are a Harem Hero now, SV)

[X] My name is Hongo Kazuto. I am of the Bushido class, and of course you noticed that my element is Dark.
-[X] Compliment her giant sword of awesome.

Better than going sarcastic MC

Edit: come on guys can we do better than say "of course you noticed that my element is dark" it sounds like we are upset because she noticed that we are from the dark element, maybe just thanked her for saying that she finds cool that Kazuto is of the dark element...but of course everyone is going to ignore me again...
[JK] Hmmph! This Great Dark one's name is Hongo Kazuto, carve it into your weak and fragile psyche! Now quake and tremble before me, Imouto stereotype, for thy feminine wiles are no match for the magnificence of my Max Chuuni Overload!

Good enough m80?

- [X] Gesture with your right hand slightly. "This is eerie. Is there some sort of item that makes opposites of people that you've heard of?"

So, I just finished one route in Ayakashibito. Seriously, if you guys feel like playing a VN, try this. This one is pretty rad, I tell you that. Quite dark, I guess, but it's fun. And the arts made for this VN are from the one who did Saya no Uta. It's not like Saya no Uta in term of grimdarkness, though.

In the meantime, an Interlude is on the way.

Real life Buster sword.

Look at that big muscular guy. He is struggling to even use it, it's so heavy he cannot even keep a proper edge alignment to properly cut the wood. He is just smashing it with the Sword's weight.

Now think about it, this little girl is at least three times as strong as that muscular guy.

Imouto-chan Y u so stronk?

Interlude 5: I Was Already Dead
Celica Sylphil was in the Student Council Room, doing his job as the Student Council President. Signing the documents, compiling some files, shredding some files, disposing some files into bins, all the fun administrative jobs that one has to do. Still, there's something different about him. Usually, the young Lord wears a stoic and severe expression on his face, but this time, he seemed to be smiling slightly as he worked.

Then, the door was opened from outside before a white-haired girl stepped into the room, followed by a brown-haired one.

"Celica, we're back!" It was the white-haired one, Robin, who said that. When both of them were already in the room, the brown-haired one, Shirley, closed the door.

"Ah, welcome back, you two..." Celica said, getting up from his seat. "Thank you for the hard work. Would you two like some tea?" He asked as he went to prepare some tea for both girls.

"That would be lovely," Shirley said.

"Yes, please!" Robin chirped up.

So, Celica went to prepare some tea. As the Student Council President busied himself preparing the beverage, Robin looked around, as if searching for a certain someone.

"Don't tell me Kazuto already left!" Robin pouted a bit.

"If you're looking for Kazuto, you two just missed him five minutes ago..." Celica said, pouring hot water into a teapot. "Still, it was a rather eye-opening experience to actually speak to him. I have to admit, he's a very good boy..." He sighed. "He somehow reminds me of his sister..."

"You're right..." Shirley nodded. "He even has her tendency to talk before think. Well, they're siblings, so that has to be expected..."

Then, Shirley gave Celica a concerned look.

"Celica..." Shirley said in subdued tone. "Now that you got to know Akane's brother, will you reconsider? I mean... to treat him like a puppet even though he's Akane's brother, I..." She looked down.

Celica was done making tea when he spoke.

"I know..." Celica said. "Akane won't forgive me for this. That's the fact that I have accepted long ago..." He brought the teapot and some teacups and saucers to his desk. Then, he poured the tea into the teacups before he gave both girls the teacups which contained the steaming beverage. "Still, for the sake of the world, I don't mind..." He said.

"..." Robin didn't drink her tea. "Celica... I've been studying about the 'Keys of Creation'. So far, I found no alternatives, but I'm sure there has to be some ways for us to stop the Second Cataclysm without needing the sacrifices. I... I just need more time," Robin said.

"..." Celica didn't say anything as he took a sip of his tea.

"Robin..." Like the white-haired girl, Shirley also didn't drink her tea. The atmosphere within the Student Council Room became solemn.

"Now, you two, let's drop this matter for the time being..." Celica said to both girls. "The tea is pretty expensive, after all."

So, both girls, despite their hesitation, drank their tea.

Finishing his tea, Celica set his teacup aside before he went to his window, looking outside. He folded his arms to his back as he watched the scenery outside the window.

"Celica..." Shirley approached the young Lord, standing right behind him. "You used to be so lively, so full of life before. When you were together with Akane, I... I thought you were the happiest man in the world I had seen..." She brought up her hand, as if trying to touch his back, but hesitated before she pulled back. "But now... it feels like you're not even alive anymore..."

Shirley's hands trembled slightly.

Sighing, Celica did not immediately respond to what Shirley had said.

"Perhaps..." Celica said. "Perhaps you are right, Shirley. I'm not sure if I'm even alive anymore. When Akane died, it felt like some part of me died with her..." He brought his hand to his chest.

"The day I learned of Akane's sacrifice, I was already dead..."

Another Interlude. Hope you guys like it.

Wait, our sister died to became a sacrifice? What's up with our bloodline? Does the same thing happens with our parents as well?

Well, if that's the case, now I understand. Having a Harem is a duty to continue our bloodlines.

Btw, what is our sister data, her class, elements, etc?

To be fair, that Buster sword is made of her own soul, so she has no trouble lifting it.

Other people on the other hand may find it difficult to even lift the sword.

...Yeah, when I said I'd help Celica take him to Death's Door and violently shove him to the other side, it's becoming more and more likely. I know he has his reasons but it has never been a good excuse for his actions. If he wants a sacrificial lamb, he can go first.

The only, I repeat, ONLY reasons I haven't done that yet is because we're still scrub tier in terms of power levels and what he's trying to stop is something so absurdly horrible that whatever action he takes to us just makes him look like a saint.

Still I'll reserve judgement for now and wait.

After reading this bit again...

Have you, perhaps, played Radiant Historia GM? Anyone else here play that game? I'm feeling kinda familiar vibes over here.

Is it right to risk the end of the world to end the cycle of sacrifices? Or do you sacrifice in the hope that /this time/ someone can use the additional time to end the need. To truly save the world?

Can we time travel GM? Decay the passage of time so that we can TEAR OPEN A PORTAL IN TIME, AND BEFORE THE FINAL BLOW IS STRUCK FLING OURSELVES INTO THE PAST, WHERE OUR SISTER IS LAW.

...Woops a bit of Aku slipped into the speech.

Will we soon be learning more of the original Apocalypse?

So, as far as i could gather, people dislike the character because he has audacity to pick most optimal course of action based on known factors and common sense instead of blindly relying on fiction tropes that are probably unknown to him and may not even apply with side dish of choosing to put lives of human community before various moral concerns.

That's about right?

Sounds about right. That part I don't mind. Hell I'd probably do the same thing. It's just that we're the ones going probably going to be shafted first thanks to his machinations that I fervently dislike him. If he's going to need a sacrifice, I'd rather he does it first.

Pretty much this. Celica isn't that bad a guy, honestly he's probably someone most would consider a Hero... but the thing is he is planning to sacrifice Kazuto.

He is planning to sacrifice us.

No matter how cool a guy he is, no matter how much we may intellectually understand that this is for the good of the collective, this shit has gotten personal now that he has decided to fuck with us.

Look @Wolfy imagine that you live in a village, and a god that lives in a nearby volcano demands the sacrifice of a human with a certain birthmark or he would destroy the village. Thing is, You are born with that Birthmark, and now your fellow villagers have slapped you in chains and are leading you to your doom. Wouls you be particularly pleased in this shit-tuation?

Well, when the ''optimal choice'' is sacrificing the player character, he enters my shit list even if he is the biggest hero in the world.

Guys I'm PREEEETTY sure he already intends to sacrifice himself too. He's definitely the type who would want to die sacrificially to "make up" for all of his failures. If he could solve the big problem just by killing himself he'd probably do it.
