[Mafia] Scarlet Hand Finale

I think I might know what UnderlingMaster is trying to do, but honestly now doesn't seem like a good time to do that.

Big suspicion that a Scum!meso world might also mean a Scum!Shadell world based on this comment. @Nictis Thoughts about this?
Shadell and Wiadi both had a slanted defense of Meso today. Shadell outright suggested that we ignore any previous Day 2 weirdness around EoD.
Do you think that scum is more likely to be in the latter half of the votes with this considered?
Absolutely. There were a lot of very quick votes that didn't actually agree with the lynch right at the end, and everyone who was there (minus Byzantine) jumped on it. Scum absolutely turned around to lynch Pawn in order to avoid being seen as not lynching Pawn.

Actually I'd argue that Shadell's defense isn't even a defense of sorts -- by that I mean it feels more like he's trying to discredit pressure on weird EoD interactions so that people stop pressuring it so much, which sort of suggests an idea of "this Pawn lynch doesn't actually matter because of how chaotic EoD is." This is just false. In fact, chaos should theoretically give us more information than the less chaotic one in the NANOOK EoD, especially when the chaos resulted in a scum-lynch.

Personally I want to press this farther and see where headspaces are at regarding it.

Current guess at a team for me:

mesonoxian
Shadell
??
??

I'm less certain about the other two since I still need to dig further into some things, but at this point I'm pretty confident in meso/Shadell. Maybe throw Wiadi in there pending other information I find from D2.

Also I should note that I don't have a perfect idea of team size and that me putting four lines here isn't actually anything concrete; I just assume 4 alive here since that's what my own balance theory generally suggests to me for 19 players.

Again, more that EOD was a mess. Weirdness there includes more players than are likely to be in the scum team.

I'm saying people, yourself included, did a lot of really weird dumb stuff, and it should be interpreted in that context.

I've been pretty clear where I think suspicion should lie, what we should do about it, and why this kind of argument, pinging active players who've taken a stand, isn't ideal right now. If we never really punish inactivity because there's a lot of mildly weird stuff from a 5 minute posting window where everyone was panicked, I'm legitimately going to scream.

It isn't that anyone thinks you are going to get them banned. It is that there is probably nowhere good this line of questioning can go. Solving people's alignments this way isn't how the game is played.

How do you interpret everybody's posts in this context then? Give me some reads on people's individual EoD based on the context you're talking about.

The way I see things, panic at EoD is generally REALLY pro-Town, since it removes the chance for people to try and plan their posts as scum in order to try and look Town. Meso's EoD heavily suggests suspicion, especially after the fact in that he stated he had a prepared post to vote for Pawn. The principle of not trying to read EoD for what it is just because it was chaotic is incredibly suspect for me, since this is probably the ripest information we've gotten all game so far.

I agree. On that note, Nictis's summary for D2 was very informative. Was there a similar one for D1?

Like we're three days in and 1K aside, most inactive players remain so even though this actively antithetical to town's goals.

So no, I dont see much value in pushing a player like Meso right now because Meso has actually been playing, and that kind of close reading of a very narrow time window (again not the aftermath of earlier stuff) should be a very low priority atm.

Absolutely fair. Gimme like an hour to eat dinner and get off my phone so I can pull quotes more efficiently and I'll go through one by one?

Yeah that's fine; I'm still in class and really shouldn't be posting right now anyway so it's something to look out for once I'm finished.

I don't buy this strategy tbh; I find it REALLY unlikely that the scum-team is just full of inactive players at this point. I might have bought it a bit more if Pawn flipped Town, but given he didn't, we have a lot of concrete information to work on based on Pawn's posts and interactions with other players, and if we get complacent on that trying to go for inactives instead, I guarantee you that scum somewhere will sit laughing at us for not considering actual evidence.
