[X] Tell Odin that it was the Mind Stone's fault, that the power had controlled him like it did the others, and that it was the Mad Titan, Thanos who was to blame.
[X] Argue that because Odin disowned him through his choice of words that Loki was thus free of his crimes. It was Loki Odinson who had done what occurred on Midgard, and if he was Loki Laufeyson he was a free god.

[X] State that all Loki did, he did for the benefit of the realms. It's always been about aiding the realms as he saw best, and if he himself also benefited, was that so wrong?

-[X] But if he thinks he'd willingly work for and omnicidal lunatic like Thanos then strike me down and be down with it.

EDIT: Too late for the vote, but might as well post it, I worked too hard and long on this all.
Okay, looking at the all the options, I rather like the one currently winning.

Except for a few things: we should mention being under the Mindstone's affect and that it's all Thanos' fault.
Looking at it, Loki really had it rough.
DANG, I'm pretty sure I went way overboard and have way too. I basically examined Loki's life in some detail and I'm not sure how coherent or good it was, but I don't want to get rid of it all, because I spent way too much time on it all.
From what I understand, Loki always felt like he was living in Thor's shadow. Everyone loved Thor, he was a Warrior's Warrior and few if any cared for Loki. Loki would to clever things, wield magic, trick others, while Thor would fight and be loved for that, and it's often implied/thought that Odin favored Thor over Loki and didn't show Loki much appreciation. Loki eventually because jealous and envious of Thor. Loki also did things to get attention, like turn into a snake and stab Thor when he picked him up, though he survived/didn't seemed too hurt from it. There isn't too much on that incident, but from what I could find out about that situtation I think either Loki didn't stab him with a legitimately lethal weapon or he did stab him with a lethal weapon and nobody payed attention to Loki despite the incident. IE, he stabbed Thor with a practice knife or a dull one, so he wasn't actually injured by it, there's no mention of Thor needing a healer or having a scar from the stab, nor of their parents being upset about it, orLoki being punished for his actions, instead Loki looks back at the incident fondly.
Eventually Odin goes to make Thor King, totally skipping over Loki and not discussing the matter at all. Loki snuck several Frost Giant soldiers in durring the ceremony, trying to both ruin it and show that Thor wasn't mature enough to be King of Asgard (and he was right, at the time Thor wasn't mature enough), then Thor ran off to Jotunheim and started up a war (and Heimdall just let him/them go there, despite knowing he shouldn't and that Odin wouldn't want him let them go there, no mention of him being punished at all). Then, there's craziness all around, Loki ends up finding his life was a lie and he was a Frost Giant, Thor gets stripped of his power and banished, he tries to confront Odin about his race only for Odin to collapse into Odinsleep, and a guard suddenly puts Loki in charge (literally walks up with Gungnir and proclaims Lok is the new king of Asgard. I assume either Frigga had this happen or allowed this, or possibly Asgard is so male-oriented that she wouldn't be allowed to rule in Odin's place, which is a bit reasonable since Sif is treated badly for her warrior ways let alon ife a woman took the throne. Since Frigga truly does consider him as her son and doesn't know all the turmoil Loki is under, she thinks everything is alright too.
Then Sif and the Warriors Three are trying to undo Thor's banishment and Loki refuses. Thor is under Odin's punishment, Loki isn't about to go against Odin's attempt to humble Thor. Loki actually goes to Thor and lies about what's happened, saying that Odin died and Frigga doesn't want to see him.
I'm pretty sure that Loki basically had a psychotic breakdown or snapped or something at some point, but it's hard to tell at exactly what point. A lot of his plans start not making any sense. It all started pretty reasonable, he wanted to be Thor's equal and knew Thor wasn't ready to be king, so he let the Frost Giants in and the ceremony was ruined and Thor wasn't king. Thor was going on a rampage against the Frost Giants, Loki sets up another plan and secretly let a guard in the palace know and told him to tell Odin, so to stop Thor and probably punish him. Heimdall sends them to Jotunheim (despite him not supposed to) and Loki finds out he's actually a Frost Giant himself. Loki plans to test this and make sure, using the Casket of Ancient Winters, and does so. Then, Odin appears and tells him to stop, so Loki confronts Odin about his race, get's some half-babble about how Odin didn't want an innocent child to die and Odin thought Loki's presence within Asgard could bring about an alliance in the Nine Realms and foster a permanent peace, which doesn't make any sense, before he collapses and Loki calls the guards for help (so Loki still cares about Odin at this point).
If Odin thought having a Frost Giant as part of the Royal Family would help bring peace, why did he conceal this from everyone and especially from Loki? Shouldn't he be going, "Look how far the Nine Realms has progressed, how much better peace is, there's even a Frost Giant adopted into the Royal Family!", instead of quietly raising both Loki and Thor and not planning on letting Loki be King while never saying he wouldn't (he would tell the two of them stuff like 'Oh, there can only be one king between the two of you', show appreciation for Thor and not Loki, and go to make Thor a king despite Thor's fairly obvious immaturity and lacking self-control and just ignoring Loki standing next to him)? How was Loki to help bring peace if he never learned he was a Frost Giant? Was Loki basically Odin's Token Frost Giant/Non-Asgardian in the family, except he'd keep it secret from others that he was that?
Loki tries to talk to Frigga about his race and such, Frigga insists they didn't want him to feel any different. However, Frigga goes right back to worrying about Odin and hoping for him to wake up and mentions hoping Thor will be returning from his banishment and insisting that Odin banished Thor for a reason and that there was hope for him. Then a guard presents Loki with Gungnir and pronounces him King of Asgard and he has to be responsible for the entire kingdom just after the long war between Asgard and Jotunheim starts up and Thor's friends start trying to pressure him to let Thor return (which Loki refuses to do, possibly due to personal reasons, possibly due to his newfound responsibilities).
I think here is about when Loki starts to snap. Some of his actions make sense, some of them don't. He's confused about his race, having been lied to about it his entire life. He's confused about his position in the family. He's unsure of his position in Asgard. Is he Laufey's son? Is he Odin's? Laufey abandoned him to die, according to Odin, but Odin lied about his race so can he be trusted on this? He was raised on Asgard, but he's a Frost Giant! Will he be allowed to stay on Asgard? War is breaking out against Jotunheim, what should he do? Suddenly, he is King of Asgard on top of that?
He goes to Thor and lies about what's happened. He claims Odin has died, peace with Jotumheim is dependent on Thor not returning, and Frigga doesn't want to see him. He also tries to lift Mjolnir but can't. This is a pretty bad idea, as for this to work requires nobody to ever meet or contact Thor in his lifetime. Loki does this by basically ordering Heimdall to not allow anyone to use the Bifrost later.
To use a more understandbale example, it'd be like there was a legal case happened at a school and the new highly-popular principal (the old principal had just stepped down for health reasons) was fired and the vice principal was put in temporarily charge. The vice principal then went to the new principal and claimed the case being resolved had a clause that insisted that the principal not being allowed to work at the school anymore and that he wasn't allowed to contact anybody who worked there, so that the vice principal could remain in charge. Except, as the principal was popular, several teachers would sneak over to visit him and encourage him and obviously the first words the principal would say is 'You guys can't be here" and everything would come out.
Next, Loki goes to Jotunheim, explains he was the one to let the Frost Giants in during the Coronation, and offers to let Laufey kill Odin and take the Casket in exchange for peace and him remaining King of Asgard. When he returns to Asgard and Heimdall questions why he couldn't see Loki on Jotunheim, Loki basically goes 'Well, maybe you're getting old" and ordering Heimdall to not allow anyone to use the Bifrost 'until he (Loki) fixes it'. It turns out to being a scheme by Loki to let him kill Laufey and the Frost Giants accompanying him and proclaim himself as Odin's son, thus leaving Jotunheim without a king and with less warriors than before. I also doubt that Loki ever really planned on letting Laufey kill Odin, as he kept secret that he was Laufey's son which is something he would have probably done if he truly meant to side with the Frost Giants. I mean, imagine how Laufey would react if he learned if he accepted the offer he'd be able to kill his old enemy Odin AND put his son (a Frost Giant) in charge of Asgard AND get back the Cask of Ancient WInters to fix up Jotunheim. He'd probably be all over it.
However, before Laufey and company arrived, Loki learned that Heimdall betrayed him and let Sif and the Warriors Three go to Earth/Midgard to meet Thor. It'll be revealed that Loki lied to Thor about the situation here, that Odin was alive and they were still at war and Frigga hadn't forbidden Thor from returning. So, Loki over-reacts really badly and freezes Heimdall and sends the Destroyer to kill Thor and friends. This is an obvious point where Loki has snapped.
Loki goes "Of course, I have to send the unique Asgardian weapon on a rampage on another planet in an attempt to kill Thor and his friends, so they can't confront me with the lie I told them, lying is a horrible crime by which I can't ever be known for!" If he succeeded, Odin and Frigga would have eventually checked on Thor and found him dead and there was plenty of evidence it was the Destroyer that was sent (in CANON, Thor offered his life in exchange for his friends, Loki accepts and starts leaving, leaving the Warriors Three and Sif as witnesses to the Destroyer killing Thor).
Literally, all they had to do is ask the four of them what happened and it'd all be revealed. So, to me it's obvious that Loki is not in his right mind.
I mean, yes Heimdall also confronted Loki on the Frost Giants he snuck in, but Loki could have easily claimed "Yes, I admit I snuck them in, I was upset with Thor and wanted to ruin his ceremony, but then things went way out of control and suddenly Thor was invading Jotunheim. I've also snuck over to Thor and told him a few lies, he was still under the impression that his punishment would be lifted any day now and I had to convince him that he was seriously being punished and it wasn't about to stop, so now he's under the impression that yes his punishment is permanent unless he learns the lesson Odin is giving him. And yes, I've pretended to cut a deal with Laufey in Jotunheim, claiming I want him to kill Odin so I could be king despite the fact that I'm already king and Odin might not ever wake up, so I can lure him into Asgard so we don't need to fight past the entirety of Jotunheim and can just deal with him here."
BOOM, all his lies and actions up to the point of sending the Destroyer explained.
Except he did send the Destroyer and then suddenly Thor has his power back and defeats it. However, without the Bifrost, they can't return. Loki is still in control and goes on with his plan, letting the Laufey into Asgard and then kiling him before he can kill Odin. Then, Thor returns just after he does this, telling all that happened, Loki loses it again.
He fights Thor, blasts him away, and tries to destroy Jotunheim. Loki has basically gone nuts, trying to destroy a realm, kill Thor, manically laughing, etc. Thor ends up destroying the Rainbow Bridge to save Jotunheim and protect everyone and the pair of them fall, but for Odin to suddenly wake up and save them last minute with Thor holding Odin and Loki holding onto Thor as they hang over into the abyss. Loki pleas that he did it all for them and Odin refuses his pleas, and Loki is devastated by Odin's rejection and lets go of Thor and falls into the abyss where a wormhole happens to open up and swallow him (due to the spacial instability from the destruction of the Bifrost next to them).
Okay, here the details get a little sketchy. It's been confirmed that Loki was being mind-controled by the Mind Stone. It's also confirmed that after the fall Loki ended up in Sactuary, facing Thanos and The Other, who offered to let him rule earth in exchange for the Tesseract, and also giving him the scepter which was mind-controlling him. How willing Loki was in this is unknown, but considering Loki had no real interests in Midgard or humans before the scepter and afterwards had a great amount of hate and anger towards them and a desire to 'free them from freedom' by mind-controling them too, I'd say Loki wasn't entirely in control his actions.
Plenty of fanfics and such have Loki being tortured and mind-controled into submission. Plus, many of the mistakes and errors Loki makes are thought to be him resisting the mind-control.
For example, appearing and acting openly, instead of in secret. Publically attacking and taking out Schafer's eyeball so that it could be used to access and get iridium. After succeeding his task, staying around to lecture and threaten civilians. Then, getting in a fight with the heroes and then later surrendering to them, instead of escaping via illusions. After pulled out by Thor, sticking around to watch Thor and Iron Man's fight and be recaptured by them later instead of using illusions again. I mean, yes he and his rescue party caused a lot of damage and chaos on the helicarrier but they didn't do anything except distract and try to break up the Avengers, who only gathered in the first place because he was captured and brought to the helicarrier. Before he was captured, there was only Iron Man and Captain America and Black Widow maybe working together, plus Hawkeye currently under mind-control. Afterwards there was Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye all against him.
Then, opened the portal at Stark Tower. I mean, that'd be like invading Asgard via opening a portal over Thor's house, it catches everyone's attention immediately. And despite all their work and that they were using the Tesseract with the Space Stone inside it, they could only open one portal that was only big enough for a single Leviathan to enter at a time and only have a few of them enter overall? Talk about a bottleneck. In fact, that's what Thor ended up doing in the battle.
Okay, voting has already ended, but I figured I might as well post the big post anyways.
[X] Submit and take any punishments Odin saw fit to dish out. There was no hope for escape and no fight left in Loki
-[X] However, at least mention Thanos, Odin might assume he at least held part of the reason for his actions.
-[X] Might want to also point out the Mind Stone being used on him. Who knows what other effects it might have left lingering after it finally lost it's hold on him.
-[X] Plus, he had tried to commit suicide before. Honestly, it was probably a good idea to sit a cell, he should try to get his head checked out.
Could Loki also mention the last two? I mean, I don't see a reason for him to not mention the Mind Stone being used on him, while he was mentally-unstable from his attempted suicide?
A series of ideas flew through Loki's head, any number of excuses and the thought of claiming Odin must free him from punishment due to being disowned verbally even crossed his mind, though that too fell away. No, Loki knew exactly what would spare him this time. No lies, no secrets, no running away from the problems at hand. Loki straightened, head raising as it had fallen to looking at the ground without his notice. Instead his green eyes met Odin's resolute stare once more.
'Nothing."
A moment of pause. Odin was caught of guard, that much was clear. Then his fury rose near instantaneously.
"Nothing? Nothing! Have you no shame for your actions? Even now bound and shackled you insist upon your own method of actions, as if you and you alone may decide the what is best for all? I suppose you wouldn't always seeking to leave war and ruin in your wake. Well? Look at where you lie now and tell me, are you sated?"
Loki was careful not to interrupt Odin, his rage would not be steadied by disrespect, and instead he waited to say his piece.
"No, I fear that is not what I meant. I do not claim to have done what was best for the realms, not in this case."
Odin's eye narrowed, fury held at bay for a moment, but it was clear his patience dwindled.
"Then what is your stance, boy?"
Deep breath, clear voice Loki. Odin had given him a chance, one and likely his final one at that.
"There is none. I have no tricks, no words of honey, no excuse. My actions are of my own doing, and I accept any punishment you see fit to befall me."
Once more the room quieted, and once more was Odin caught off guard. He was not the only one, Frigga's hand twitched, and her eyes widened a fraction, but otherwise her features remained schooled. Odin's eyes had also risen, and he leaned forward slightly, eye looking at Loki as if he was just now seeing him for the first time. Thor had perked his head and took several side glances at Loki, trying to resist the urge to turn towards him. Seems the God of Thunder was gobsmacked, he probably didn't expect the sincerity. If not for Odin's presence he'd probably pinch Loki to make sure this was not another illusion.
Odin's eye remained foggy and unfocused. It was as if he was in another time, looking past Loki to dredge up something from his past. Still he was needed in the hear and now, and a light tap on his shoulder from Frigga brought him back. The All-Father took a moment to collect his thoughts before he declared his ruling.
"Very well. Loki of Asgard for your actions I deem that you shall be imprisoned. Bound within these walls until I, the All-Father see fit to pardon you."
Loki bowed his head. It wasn't what he wanted to hear but he knew there was no avoiding it. Rather he'd need to make sure Odin knew of the threat the Titan and of the infinity stones.
"As you wish, All-Father. But... if I may I have not yet finished."
Loki noticed that this garnered a far worse reactions. Frigga's lips tightened as her head dipped down before resetting its position, a slight wince to her eye. Thor let out a sigh, shaking his head and Odin lost a bit of his proud glint. Swift change in attitude, did they really think that little of him? They're smarter than he gives them credit for.
"There was... another individual. A Titan. He goes by Thanos, and he hopes to wipe out half the universe."
Now they were reacting appropriately. Odin's eyes steeled, a frown set upon his face as he addressed Loki seriously.
"That is a impossible goal. This mortal you speak of overestimates himself."
"Under most circumstances I would agree but I fear that he is stronger than first glance. He has spent a long time gathering impressive forces under himself, armies that outnumber our own, with an even bigger threat. He possessed the Mind Stone. Luckily after my defeat it has been taken by Midgard's warriors, likely for safe keeping, but he more importantly is that he managed to find it on his own. If he could find one he could find another. Father, these infinity stones are unlike any item I've seen, they-
"I know of the stones Loki. If your claims are true than this Thanos will be dealt with should it be needed when the time comes."
Odin stands up and taps his staff on to the ground, a signal for the guards to take Loki to his new abode and for the meeting to be adjourned. Before he fully exits Loki sees Odin collapse backwards onto his throne, pinching the bridge of his nose, Frigga at his side discussing something important it seems. Thor follows Loki for a bit, just stopping before Loki turned the corridor that lied before the path into the dungeons.
A grimace set upon Loki as he regarded the filth that filled the cells. While he may have accepted Odin's reaction he wasn't quite too keen on the results. The guards led him to his empty holding cell, already furbished no doubt due to Frigga's influence. They unshackled him quickly and roughly shoved him inwards. Loki turned on the spot, the rage he kept restrained raging as he wished to inflict pain on the two men who'd treated him improperly. Unfortunately the force wall went on as he took his step leaning forward, resulting in a charged flash and Loki was sent backwards violently, a landing in a heap on his side. One guard let out a small puff of air between his lips, no doubt finding the situation humorous. His fellow elbowed him in the rib, both recovering to leave.
Loki sneered as they left, and knew he'd unleash untold pain onto those two should he ever get out. Regarding that situation Loki had to decide what he would do about it...
