Link in Warhammer Fantasy, MK2

[X] This expedition is being organized in part by a Dwarf. I gave him my word, and I have been told it is...unwise to break an oath made to a Dwarf along with the other dwarfs in the expidition. However, once I return from this expedition, I'd be more than happy to reconsider your offer.
-[X] Although...is there any reason you are so eager to gain my service? Is there some kind of imminent threat to the city?

[x] "Your offer is generous and it would have been an honor to be champion of yourself and this city.. but the expedition holds the potential to help a great many people if successful given it's goal, and I have given my word to it. I decline though I am grateful for the offer and would gladly raise my sword against evil while I am here. I also shall say that should the offer be given again upon my hopefully successful return that I am bound first to my homeland's protection.. though events beyond my control have sent me here and rendered return something I cannot work towards until they send someone or something to me."

Don't question the reason she wants a daemon killer on the payroll! That's just dumb.

[X] "I've already committed to going on the expedition."
-[X] "I don't think you'd want a champion who could be swayed from his commitments by the promise of more money."

Eh. I think the other two are a bit too wordy. Brevity fits Link a lot better.

Like the dwarf bit, but the other option is too wordy.

"Do you really want a champion so easily swayed by money?"

The Countess pauses. She holds your eye for a while, before looking away.

"And there are dwarfs involved anyway."

"Ah. Damn."

There is silence for a moment.

"Is there some kind of pressing danger?"

She nods, "Aye. I suspect my cousin will be marching on the city shortly after the tournament. He doesn't like that I found the runefang." She examines you for a moment. "Well, I wish you luck in your expedition. You may leave." She turns towards her papers.

Hour Moratorium

[ ] "could he be lured into a trial by combat or some such with me as your champion? get him to swear to abide by the terms in the event of his defeat in-front of the Priests of sigmar and the people? The clergy never like being made fools of which means moving against you earn him enemies he cannot afford."

would this work?

Sorry for this update being so shitty. I'm still not in the grove again yet.
It's good you're not in the grove, if you were in a grove, your connection would be rubbish.

As to the update's content...

Honestly, wonder which one is right. Or why a full march on a city isn't getting other attention.

Then again, we aren't getting the full picture.

Also, while I found most of my notes, I couldn't find the calendar where I was keeping track of how long the Armor would take, or of how long it is until the tournament.

So yeah.

I've been greatly enjoying this quest, OP, so thank you so much for writing it. I'm already scared to read anything to do with Warhammer, mainly because every time I play it I've had a shitty gm who boils the game down into "CHAOS! YOU DIED!" whenever anyone gets anywhere they want to (once had a gm kill me off screen because I had to miss a session because of work) and this quest very neatly defuses all of my fears. So thank you for being a good writer.

Just took a look over on the armor, this is the latest I found on it:

This is during the Opera incident

Edit: will look further on the tournament.

Edit 2: found something on the tournament:
This was during the vote on selling the book to Samantha

Okay, so I believe that means you'll have the armor for the tournament. Got it.

I mean... That is technically a realistic take on the shitty reality of that universe. But terrible GMing, yes.

In that case, you should also read Dynasty of Dynamic Alchoholism. Lets just say that the GM eventually got frustrated and TRIED to kill the MC off (but not with Chaos factions, for the most part, there's other factions that got involved), but failed, and this eventually culminates in Freddy briefly mimicking Frisk during the Asriel fight-it's pretty awesome, really. (Things have settled down lately, and with luck he'll die peaceably from old age and control will pass onto his descendent).
