I have been informed your two plans are basically the same, just worded differently, so landslide win!

Roll 1d20 each time - an 8+ means it works!
 
Random note, as I understand it we could also choose to recall boarders at this point, but I figured that would be something we'd work into the vote if it was something we wanted to do. There are reasons for it, but I'd say lets keep things as-is, make them spend actions to repel boarders if they wanna do that.

Anyway, I don't think we have any systems or decisions to make in Logistic 2? All of our Subaltern Combat Crews and NHP co-pilots lose a refresh counter, but none are back yet.

Charge guns tick down and both the Brothers in Arms and our LinAcs hit zero. The enemy can deploy sapper drones to ranges 4 or 5 if they want, which is probably practically irrelevant.

Then....Impact 2. I think both our LinAcs go straight into the Hivequeen. I don't think there's anything we might brace from a single 6-shot damage.

Straightforward. The Turtleback will eat half the damage, so into the Hivequeen it goes.
 
Fuck OFF, so, after all that build up, the Chesapeake took ONE DAMAGE!?
We bolstered it for a reason! I mean, we got a bit lucky, but also it was a torpedo attack on a ship that was doing its best to Not Get Torpedoed.

The way torpedoes work is that to do much damage with them you need to stack them - one torpedo mostly won't get through defenses, on player or NPC side. But since all torpedoes that land in the same Impact Phase share a single interdiction roll, across the whole Battlegroup, multiple torpedoes landing at once chew through interdiction easy.

EDIT: This is why I figured we were about to eat some Longbow torpedoes from the Stalwarts; that's minimum 6 more damage on the Chesapeake, plus probably 6 on either the Blair Mountain or Cu Chulainn.

I really don't think there is another option. If we've got the Tactics locked down for a turn then we have to put as much punishment as possible into it.

Yeah. The only Squadron I might have been tempted to recall was Wolf Squad....but they're the ones that succeeded and are doing work.

Also, don't be discouraged at the lack of plan variety right now. "Fire as she bears!" Has probably been shouted already, and this is the point where steely eyed naval officers grip the back of their chairs and wait as the destruction they set into motion comes to fruition, for better or for worse.
