Knockturned for The Better (Harry Potter Shopkeeper Quest)

That's about 99% of the wizard population. I'm pretty sure the only wizards that know how to act around muggles are the ones raised as muggles.
And 99% of HP fics I've ever seen were either harry himself, muggleborns, or an SI that knew muggle stuff from their past life. I think I've only seen a fic with a clueless pureblood like, twice? I suppose there's probably a bunch of Draco fics out there somewhere.

I now have the sudden urge to see if there are any fics where the vice president of spam is such an ignorant wizard, and a constant thorn in Hermione's side, as he draws vastly larger member base, but keeps miss educating the members with nonsense logic, to the point where he's even gaslighted some of the muggleborns into believing his nonsense.

Results so far.

Yes I know it's bugged, I'll be manually counting.

I can't tell if Ethical Necromancy is winning cause the other two plans are the exact same.

also Confidently Competent has the same contents as Unspeakable Mundane and probably should be folded into it
edit: nevermind it doesn't its just a glitch

Max of Two.

This is a plan vote.

Some of these automatically unlock feats for the character, others give Nikola options for the future or opportunities.

Keep in mind you also need points for feats.

Not just limited to the Department of Magic in England. I delved into ancient magics best left forgotten, things best left… unrevealed. I can recognize the esoteric and what shouldn't be quite easily, and I have some old contacts I can use for… stranger occurrences.
[] [Muggle Relations] - 50
I worked in the muggle relations department of my local government, and have grown quite used to how they move and function. An odd people to be sure, but useful, and I will not be seen as an alien among them.
Unspeakably Mundane. Leaves us at 290 points, gives us knowledge esoteric and mundane and some connections.

More than just simple potions, you were practiced in the older methods. Mixtures of lead, tin and gold to produces things considered impossible… and very dangerous.

I received training to be a mediwizard, or healer. A difficult art, but very valuable regardless.
Ethical Necromancy. Leaves us at 340 points, gets us practical healing and alchemical skills, which can feed into our necromancy and each other.

A lot of these ruins are in of near muggle society.
While true, a Notice-Me-Not and basic Invisibility charm will probably do a lot to let us bypass whatever muggle bureaucracy we'd need to access said ruins. I assume we're also capable of Apparition, unless that's limited to feats.

All that said, I think it'd probably be a little irritating to read a quest where a protag ends up baffled by entirely mundane phenomenon, so I'm still gonna vote for

[X] Plan: Unspeakable Mundane

even if I think being a Cursebreaker is of far greater importance. Here's hoping our specialties (and the possibility of hiring help) can cover for us.

The funny thing about the winning vote is that Nikola won't be able to talk about half of what he did. The only thing he can really describe is working with muggles (depending on if it is related to his other work.)

Half of his resume is Top Secret work that scares the piss out of people and the other half is a """job"""(sarcasm) that wizard society laughs at.

A pretty unusual mix.

I like to think there is a couple of weird magic phenomenon that actively involves muggles. So our guy got sent to them sorted out the problem then had to go around and obliviate all the muggles involved.

"Another muggle has unearthed an ancient evil unfit to exist in this world. Who are we going to send to fix it?"
"Nikola in Muggle Relations can do it. He's been researching something called the 'Internet', but he has better things to do then learn how to fish."

Probably an author again. They look up and include the darnest things and unpublishing a book is considerably more work than it used to be.
