Kite-Man Soaring into Cruel Network? Hell Yeah! (Kite-Man Hell Yeah/CN Villains Victorious Quest!)

Little Helpful Tidbits
In terms of stuff I can tell you that may be important but aren't major spoilers:

From an out of universe perspective, the world has been fused together by Aku for 11 years, so everyone in universe on the CN side is obviously 11 years older than canon (though obviously from their perspective it's always been that way).

You are currently in Louisiana, to be clear.

So we've popped up into the equivalent of turn 44 of a normal Cruel Network Quest? Why not have it as regular?

Also you can probably use some of the Fusion Fall art of some characters if you need portraits. They're not exactly 11 years in the future but it does show some of the characters as older.

Andddd VOTES CLOSED!

The winner is 3, and you hire Ester, Goat and Pops. Hope you enjoy them. Lol

Turn 1 will be up as soon as possible.

Turns out the guy who ran a successful diner is pretty good at running a restaurant. Who knew? Goodbye Noonan's (Sleazy) Bar hello Noonan's (Sleazy) Gastropub.

Turn 1
You know, you aren't exactly complaining, but you're still surprised people… picked up. And were interested. Huh.

Well, Glider had already been here obviously and Le Mime just kinda inserted himself in your life, but still! Glider made it clear you were pushing it by hiring three people rather than one extra, especially with Le Mime already around, so you had to cut one of the applicants. Probably for the best. She had an ID to prove otherwise, but she still looked like an 8-year-old so that was just… weird.

Right now, your 4 new employees were mingling amongst themselves while you and Glider watched from the serving bar. You weren't exactly sure what to say yet, and Glider wasn't pushing you thankfully.

"Soooo… you run a diner, huh man? Respect, respect." a man with a Blue jumpsuit, trucker hat and brown hair nodded to a portly, balding man with a grease stained apron.

"Darn Right, Sonny boy! It's not as exciting as fighting in 'Nam, but it's got its barrel of insanity going on." The elder nodded happily.

Le Mime comically made a cuckoo sign behind the old timer's back, making the last new hire, a light purple-skinned lass with a dark purple coat, giggle in amusement.

"Ok, everyone, I am ready to make a captain's speech!" You announced, stepping forward.

"Wait, you're a captain? Geez, I got kicked out of the Navy!" The elder complained.

"Dude, you have a storied life," Jumpsuit said in amazement.

"Do we need to get boating licenses?" Coat mused.

"It was a figure of speech, people, come on." You sulk as they keep chattering. Glider grabbed Duncan's drink and slammed it hard into a table.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LISTEN!" She screeched. Everyone wisely shut up, even Duncan, though he looked visibly irritated for obvious reasons.

"Thank you, babe." You smile at her, immediately calming her down.

"Now, I know we are all adrift in the endless sea of indecision and change. And change, like giant butterfly men, is scary. Have you seen Giant Butterfly Men? That shit is freaky. Didn't sleep for a week. But regardless, uh, we can do this, because we are meant to. Do it, I mean. Not, like, in a weird way. Uh. You know what I mean, hell yeah! Is everyone inspired?" You ramble.

"...Is your girlfriend going to beat us up if we aren't?" The elder deadpanned.

"I mean…. Probably." You admit.

"Then yeah, we're totally and entirely, 100% inspired." Jumpsuit chuckled nervously.

"Great! Then off to adventure and new things we go! HELL YEAH!" You shout.

"HELL YEAH!" Your employees (minus Le Mime obviously) added, though only Glider really seemed into it completely.

Unoriginal note: Let's get to this everybody! Insert motivational quotes here…

Commit Some Robberies:
While running the bar is fun at all, you are In need of some more moolah soon. Maybe it couldn't hurt to rob a bank or a similar place? There doesn't seem to be many heroes around, this should be easy right?
DC: 40/70/100
Reward: for each tier passed, gain income and chances of other loot (either items, tech or things like that)

Commit Some Crimes:
As is, you are not well known in the villain community, mostly since… Nobody really knows you're a criminal?, perhaps it's time to fix that, get your suit on and commit some flashy, and noticeable, crimes.
DC: Variable
Reward: Become a more known super-criminal, increase income long term, gain income, and commit a variety of flashy crimes, may obtain some paintings.

Upgrade Your Security System:
The neighborhood is a little rough, and you don't have Noonan's old reputation to give you any kind of protection if any of the locals decide they want your stuff. See about getting a proper security system set up for the building.
DC: 50
Reward: Increased DC to break into or otherwise attack Noonan's.

Promote your bar:
You have just opened your place and it's really unknown, especially for those criminals you want to attract and give a place to relax! Maybe finding a sneaky way to advertise your bar could help?
DC: Variable
Rewards: bar becomes more well known, chances to meet new people or gain more income!

Find More Help:
Glider, Le Mime and such are doing great, but not like a little extra help hurt anyone... DC: Variable
Reward: Gain more Hero Units, quality dependent on roll, allows you to recruit the starting hero you missed

Your newfound eternal rivalry with Formerly Bob's Burgers aside, the people here don't seem too bad. Maybe it's time to make some connections.
DC: 50

Reach out to Supervillains Groups.
You have heard that some of your customers work with certain groups and organizations, it would be a good idea to reach out to them, so as to get potential clients for the future.
DC: Variable
Reward: Learn about major supervillain groups, specifically ones linked to the bars customers, this action is more effective the more bonuses Noonans has

Secure A Reliable Supply Of Booze:
You know just enough about bars to know that the absolute worst thing that can happen is to run out of alcohol. Figure out who can keep your mugs full.
DC: 40
Reward: You don't have to worry about running out of alcohol unless business really picks up

We serve food here, sir
What kind of bar doesn't have appetizers? Not Noonan's, that's for sure!
DC 30
Reward: Slight income increase, slight bonus to PATRON rolls.

Learn who you have to pay your taxes to
Honestly speaking with so many kings, and with the US government still being a thing, you need to learn this just in case. In your last world the IRS was to be feared, You don't know if in this one there is a nightmarish version of it.
DC: 30
Reward: Potential to gain income from tax returns, avoid pissing off the IRS.

Scope Out the Local Criminal Underworld:
Aside from getting you and Lisa's fake identification from some shady rat in an orange jacket (What was his name? Argy? Argghh? Whatever), you haven't actually touched base to discover the local super-criminals, if any! Let's fix that.
DC: 55
Reward: Find out the general information of the local criminal organizations.

Super-Villain Team Up:
Heroes aren't the only ones who can work together! Take a look around, put a few feelers out, and see if you can't find any fellow criminals to work with on a job
DC: Variable (Roll determines how good of a criminal you end up working with)
Reward: Chance to collaborate with another villain in a crime spree, Hell Yeah!

Scope out targets:
Currently you are aware of a bank... and a few shops... you might need to scope out some more options for theft.
DC: Variable, Higher the better
Reward: lowered DC for criminal actions, applies twice fold to actions on the same turn

Mix some drinks:
You don't know who Piña Colada is, but he and Shirley Temple had the right idea about putting stuff into drinks; all you need is a blender or whatever and boom! New menu item!
DC: 30
Reward: Your bar gets a bigger menu, old customers are happier and new ones are more likely to stay

Learn American borders
Given how different the U.S is here, there is a... concerning high chance of accidentally walking into another country, the paperwork would be horrible... it might be a good idea to have a look at the broader situation.
DC: Variable
Reward: Gain a general idea on America's borders, no longer risk accidentally walking into Mexico while looking for future bar expansion spots, possible DC reductions.

Mighty Wings
The kitesuit is pretty nice(if you say so yourself)but with enough elbow grease it could become even cooler!
DC 75

Kite-Man can take 3 personals,

Question does Kitman have three personal actions or one?
It says so right here.
Also, can we still assign a hero unit and do their personal action or not?
Well i didn't see any options for assigning heroes to actions, so it's either we can do it either way or just do the actions on the list.

Ok here's my current plan. Its basically designed to get the bar up and running and some info gathering. With all of Kiteman's personal actions focused on finding his friends. Let me know if I messed up anywhere (Large plans like this are hard) or you have a question on why I picked a certain thing.

Differences/thoughts from above plan"Where everybody knows your name".
  • Martial: is Some Crimes because I think some money/ reputation gains are better than no reputation. Can do security when we're not anonymous or have some money/ junk to spare.
  • Have Learning: American borders with Golden Glider, its probably important GG or kite-man dose it. Perhaps before we accidentally make a poor joke or something?
  • Personal Actions; Kiteman doesn't have 3 Find friends Actions and now rolls well with Martial activities. I'll admit I don't know how important these actions are but every action ,besides Stewardship.. Supply Of Booze, gets us more noticeable/ gets us more general information.
  • Personal Actions Pops, is Work the bar: because he could use loyalty bump most of all.

Heck yeah, Kite-Man! What a fun character.

[X] Plan: Hit the streets running.

I like this plan, but would like to swap out Ester's action for the "try to find Ben" action. Oh well.
