King Under the Mountain (Dwarven CK2 Quest)

@Terenak i noticed the ask for aid option is gone. Is that intentional? If not I would like to submit an alternative approach to handling the duke. Push off one turn and smash him with a larger force.

[] Prep to Smash the Duke
-[] Send out patrols to scout the immediate surroundings of the mountain (Intel)
-[] Send a message to King Ulfraz requesting aid
--[] Soldiersto aid us against the duke
-[]Set up a Trade route with Crankspout for Hammerhall Mushroom Brew (+5 wealth/turn)
-[] While dwarves have never been good at spying, we may be able to get information from travelers, bribes would certainly help loosen a few tongues.
-[]The Deep Roads have been neglected as of late, it is time that some repairs were made, which will allow easier contact and trade between the dwarven halls
-[]A dwarf with a very singed beard and missing his eyebrows claims that he has "Done it"
-[] Add yourself to one of the other actions to increase its chances
--diplomacy

Are we sure we want to declare war on the Duke right now we only have two actual regiments for fighting and our population is in no position to handle a war right now against what can only be assumed as an established human settlement which has infrequent fights with orcs meaning they are going to be atleast semi well trained. I don't see this going to well for us right now. I think we should try for diplomacy atleast one more time before we dedicate our selves to conflict.

[X] Plan Paid In Kind
-[X] Declare war on the Duke of Verosa for his insult against Dwarvenkind
-[X]Set up a Trade route with Crankspout for Hammerhall Mushroom Brew (+5 wealth/turn) (Does not cost an action to set up a constant trade route or modify them)
-[X] While dwarves have never been good at spying, we may be able to get information from travelers, bribes would certainly help loosen a few tongues.
-[X]Build a vault to contain our kingdom's wealth
-[X]A dwarf with a very singed beard and missing his eyebrows claims that he has "Done it"
-[X] Add yourself to one of the other actions to increase its chances
--[X] Declare war on the Duke of Verosa for his insult against Dwarvenkind
@veekie did you not wish to add an actual diplomacy vote? setting up a trade route doesn't take an action and thus you're currently missing an action for Diplomacy

the reason the ask for aid option is gone is that you're not currently at war/in a crisis with anyone, if you want to go to war with the Duke you would be allowed to ask for aid from the other dwarves, but you would have to declare the war first

Right now our military isn't that large to handle a full-on war against a human Duke (with unknown military of his own). Gathering more allies, more intelligence, and preparing for war makes sense, at least for 1 turn.

Why is everyone so eager to go starting a war which we have no intel on the enemy or are in any position to fight right now?

at the moment Paid in Kind has basically won, but I can't really accept it because the issue I stated with it hasn't been resolved @veekie that being that to set up a trade route doesn't use the Diplomacy action and as such your plan effectively doesn't have a Diplomacy action. As soon as you fix that I can start working on the update

Didn't he add the elf kingdom diplo to his plan a while ago when you poked him about it ?
