Helping Master Eraqus

Once again you find yourself in the Land of Departure, the peaceful world as strange and alien to you as it was the first time. Not helping is the fact that it's a different time of day from when you first showed up; neither the Mysterious Tower nor Midnight Town had anything resembling working day/night cycles, so you'd gotten used to the night sky being almost constantly overhead.
You have a short amount of time to yourself before Master Eraqus summons you and the others to go and get started on… whatever it is that the five of you need to get done. You haven't actually seen Terra or Aqua in a while so it would be nice to catch up with at least one of them, and you've even heard that Eraqus has gotten a third apprentice recently.
You wonder what they'll be like when you meet them. You've had a brief talk with Terra and Aqua and they both seem to care deeply for the new guy so he's got that going for him at the very least. Still, you'll reserve any actual judgments on the kid until you actually meet him. All in all you've got quite a few things that you can do before you get started.
You feel okay calling him kid despite your own age because one of the few things that you can confirm about him is that he's a few years younger than Terra, Aqua, Mickey, and yourself.
What do you do?
[x] Explore the Castle.

[x] Talk with Aqua.
[x] Go see if you can find the new kid.

New Kid

You wander around the Land of Departure for a good while to see if you can find the new kid. It's been a long time since you've met a new apprentice, and it'll be interesting to meet with someone younger than you are. Not that you're the newbie or anything, but you've always wondered what a new Keyblade user looks like to someone who's more experienced, even if it isn't all that much.uch.
Thankfully, it doesn't take you all that long to find him. He may not be the same proverbial 'year' as you, so far as lessons go, but that doesn't really mean all that much when there aren't really enough Keyblade users around to begin with. The Master/Apprentice system leaves whoever isn't learning directly at the moment with plenty of time to go and wander around the Castle, or the Tower, or wherever they want really.

Well, the new kid isn't the strangest looking person you ever met, but you've met plenty of downright weird looking people so that doesn't matter all that much. He's got blond hair for one, which while you know it isn't an unusual color for humans from what you've heard, you can count the number of blonds in Midnight Town on one hand. Beyond that he has blue eyes, a smaller build, and a uniform similar to Terra's except instead of making him look drop dead sexy… it makes him look so adorable that you could just squeeze him to death right here and now!
"Hi!" you say as you greet the new apprentice. "I take it that you're Master Eraqus's new apprentice?"
"Yes…" The kid blinks in mild confusion. "Are you one of Master Yen Sid's apprentices?"
"Yes!" You smile at him. "My name's Scena! What's yours?"
"I'm Ven." The newly named Ven, seeming to get a bead on himself, extends a hand out to you. "It's nice to meet you
You take his hand and shake it. "It's nice to meet you two… Say, do you like music?"
"Music." Ven pauses for a moment. "I… I wouldn't know. I can't actually remember ever hearing any before."
WHAT!?
What do you do?
[x] Just… Ignore that fact for now. It might not his fault after all.
[x] "Follow me." This travesty must be corrected immediately!
