[x] The Hidden Master
You have to admit, when you'd been ordered to interfere with the Mark of Masters Exam on your future self's orders, you hadn't quite expected to see a… hitch in the plan as early as this.
Then again Yen Sid, despite his rather passive nature, is one of the smarter Keyblade Masters from your own observations, even if your older self does not seem to respect him as much as the King of Disney Castle. Is it this nature that causes your older self to overlook him as a he seems to be doing, or does 'Master Xehanort' have some sort of assurance that Yen Sid will not hinder him?
Now that you think of it, you can't help but wonder why your older self does not just defeat Yen Sid personally; the retired master is clearly a major source of resistance to his plans. Does your future self not attack because he thinks that somehow he can use the old wizard, or is it because he isn't confident in his ability to defeat Yen Sid should the two ever engage in personal combat?
A part of you wonders which of those two scenarios would make things more difficult, but you banish those thoughts from your mind. You don't particularly care whether or not this plan succeeds either way. You've done your part; anything that happens from this point on is on your future self.
You watch on as Riku, one of your future selves' former targets for recruitment into the True Organization gets stronger and stronger as he continues to make his way across the realm of Sora dreams.
That Fairy. Not only has she managed to influence the nature of the songs and dreams herself, she's manipulating it with far more skill than she should have at this stage of her training. She was always a prodigy in the arts of song magic but this is far too big a leap in skill.
Riku blasts away the demon within the song in short order, Scena's meddling having increased his power and skills exponentially. More over, her efforts to empower Riku in his current dream eater state seems to having a knock-on effect on Sora's own heart, converting much of the darkness within him into dream eater spirits.
How could her past self-have this much knowledge? No… more importantly, the Scena within the dreaming world isn't actually moving outside of her set course of events. Did she somehow already know about your older self' plans, or can the Dreaming Worlds impact the past as well as the present? Could it be something about the Mysterious Tower itself? The world was always very atypical, it would explain Yen Sid's motive behind choosing his own tower as one of Sleeping Worlds to host his test.
Whatever the case, this is-
"Hello, short Xehenort." A melodic voice catches your ear, causing you to turn around.
Scena's adult incarnation gives you a rather displeased glare.
"Did you really think I'd be that easy to kill?" She growls at you. "Because if you did, you've made a big mistake. And don't think I've forgotten what you did to my friends… I really owe you for that stunt."
Though you know you'll survive this oncoming encounter… You'd be lying if you said that you weren't a little frightened.
XXXX
You shake your head in pain.
Wait, what was that?
There was a silhouette and strange sheets of music hear just a short distance ago, right?
A quick look around reveals that if they're had been any such things around, they aren't present any more.
Also Mickey is on the ground with Master Yen Sid's hat.
…and the room is flooded.
What do you do?
[x] Help him clean this place. You'd rather your friend not get busted.
[x] "Sorry Mickey. You made this mess, you get to clean it."
[x] "I'm not going to lie to Master Yen Sid if he asks what happened. He'll see through me in a heartbeat."
[x] Write in.
