[x] The Halls of Healing: Anakin is there, which means that Ayguin and Ahsoka are as well, and along with them, Scout is hanging around. On top of that, Bariss Offee has gotten back from another mission, a brutal one, on yet another planet filled with guerillas, and seems stressed and unhappy.
[X] The Archives. She'll always do a bit of research for the paper, but perhaps she should spend more time there. Certainly, Cho and Hannah are spending plenty of time there, and on top of that… there's information in the Archives. Jayne's been seen skulking around, looking up information about Coruscant. Playing tourist with images, with pictures. If they have all that, could Nima find out where her mother lives? Even if she's not… yet ready to do anything.

Uhhh, question for the folks who know cannon-is Anakin Ahsoka and Obi-Wan getting rolled on that planet a thing that happens normally or is that a sign the dice are not being kind.

We don't generally roll for canon characters unless they're interacting with you, but no, this is not how the original plot went down. The question is why, and that could be butterflies from Nima, but it could also be AU elements or just general timeline changes.

[X] The Clones Corner: As it's now called by Initiates, it's where Lark and the others are living, and they were very nice… and part of some sort of plan of Master Bell's. It's said that they're currently actually talking with the "Grey Paladins" and considering other matters, perhaps it's time to pay them a visit or three.

So those ghosts, what Empire are they talking about as the Empire hasn't been made yet. One of the hundred Sith Empires before Bane fucked that up?

I would ver much like to look into the Archives, especially with the obvious plot hook. The recent downward change in our mother's situation is... unsettling.

Yeah with our mother being in a poor situation now, whatever it is we should probably just do a bit of research.

Besides, could probably do a bit of research into the mental healing side of the force as well after dropping by Anakin, Ahsoka and Bariss. Nima has been hinted to be going down that path, and with how easy she can form force bonds despite only barely being similar to Anakin we might even be able to at least learn about Battle Meditation. Which would be neat.

Wait what changed from canon? The Battle of Jabiim was a loss, Obi-wan was kidnapped, the Padawan Pack died, and the loyalists were abandoned by Skywalker. I'm really having a hard time seeing where you diverged from canon here. Did all of this just happen earlier? I don't think Ashoka was in the original story, but it was published before she was made as I recall.

Well, the only empire's by this time that had a major presence on Coruscant were the Sith and the Rakatan Infinite Empire.

Celestials showed up once or twice before the rise of the Infinite empire but they never called themselves an empire (as far as I know) or stayed for that long and I don't believe the Hutt's ever had a major presence on Coruscant.

When the three of them were long gone, the figures appeared. Both of them were male, and human, dressed very differently but equally blueish-white, standing over the crack and considering what they had just seen.

If Nima had been sitting right at their feet, she could not have understood their words. But she could have, perhaps, understood the emotions in the Force.

One of them was all edges, a jagged statue, while the other was soft, almost but not quite yielding, and both were in curious moods. They were both curious, and yet there was some deeper emotion playing below the surface as the first one spoke.

"Does this place have a library?"

"It must," the second one said. "Perhaps we could go up there."

"And what could they do, if they found us? You know better than any the limitations of even the most righteous."

"The children seemed… innocent. Surely if--"

"Surely if what? They were strange, as was the alien. Can we trust them? Can we trust this… place?"

"If not, then what shall we do? Watch and wait? It's been so long. And I want to know."

"The Empire…" the first muttered, and then disappeared.

"That kid's clothing was interesting. Huh." Then the second one disappeared.
Whaaat.

I see good synergy here. I really want Nima to go and at least look into her mother, before we have another Shmi Skywalker situation on our hands, and Anakin has previously offered to sneak her out of the Temple to see her mother. Not to mention, he'd definitely sympathize with Nima's visions (and I believe he did the last time he heard about them).

For bonus points, these also provide opportunities to interact with Jayne (was regularly sneaking out of the Temple, might encourage Nima to go see her mother, might have met her mother now that I think about it), Hannah (possible chance to make up with her?), Scout (possibly get her to take a much needed break again?), and Bariss (butterflies, butterflies everywhere).

Was difficult to decide, but I like these two the most.

So the Battle of Jabiim happened later or lasted longer in this timeline? Because originally it took place before Anakin became a Knight, and before Ahsoka became his Padawan.

Guys lets head to the archives.

Sounds like Nima's mom is a major plot hook coming up so think we should prepare for that.

And of course, learn more about what happened with Jabiim at the halls of healing.

@The Laurent is the final authority but both. It started later and was going worse by the time Anakin got there.

If you wanna know more, than poking by Anakin makes sense, although Cho will probably have some details on it later from wherever she gets information. Second and third hand news will tell you some of the story, right?

Also, I think it's implicit but you aren't likely to run into the ghosts at the library. They're not just going to walk in all visible and stuff.

Alright- can I get a list of concerns that we're trying to manage so that we don't forget anything? What does the thread agree we need to do (if not the prioritiztation), things that the thread disagrees on etcetera?

I find it makes it easier to follow through if we have that written down somewhere.

The Jedi Order had to believe that Jedi could make a difference. But in under a month of battle over a dozen Jedi had died on some planet called Jabiim. It was a mess, a crisis that was spiralling out of control, threatening everything in the entire system and several around. There were rumors that Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was dead, rumors that all the Jedi were dead, rumors that all of them were secretly alive, rumors that Skywalker was being sent to relieve them, rumors that Windu was being sent to relieve them, rumors rumors rumors about every single battle, so many that Nima couldn't even begin to tear apart truth and lies.

Oh christ Jabiim. Local book store of mine had that entire Clone Wars Comic series and I spent an afternoon reading them good stuff. Jabiim was pretty grim, like I think Obi-Wan and Anakin were literally the only ones out of like dozen plus Jedi to survive that mess. And the worst part is that it's just one battle in a huge war that seems to be chewing up Jedi like crazy.

I think even if there was no Order 66, The Jedi Order would have likely been shredded by the end of the war.

Also I loved the race scene. Nima feeling the emotions of her fellow Padawans as she sunk deeper into the Force. Great stuff.

EDIT: Also changing my vote, kinda want to do more things independent from the main plot of the canon.
