Is SV a bit too hostile to nerd culture?

You don't understand how embarrassed this thread made me. People aren't to take me series. People are going to think I'm an idiot.
Deep breath. Calm down.

To be totally honest, most of the people in this thread won't remember it in a few months. Bet you money. And even if they did, they're going to remember the discussion not 'that you're an idiot' (because you've not really been stupid in this thread and because you've not been the focus of the discussion).

You asked a question. That was all. You didn't ask a question and then go on extended rant arguments when you got answers you didn't like, you didn't ask a question loaded with nasty subtext, you asked a question. A question that admittedly I found more confusing than anything else, but that's all.

Yeah man, you're not as shit as I am!

Sorry I overreacted.

I will make a point of always remembering this thread and who started it.

Forever. :V

(?) SV will remember that.

@Spacehillbilly

Nah I kid, trust me, don't sweat it too much alright. Like, I get it, you make a mistake and everyone sees your balls exposed live on stream and you're all "Oh noooo I'm ruined forever." I've been there man, having cheated in Cherno Alpha Quest before. Does anyone still remember as "That Guy Who Cheated in CA Quest?" Nope. probs becuz that quest is super dead I mean maybe the GM but probably not. All that's to say it's fine man don't worry about it.

You could've done a lot worse like ol' Plasmatorch who's "question" pretty much outed him as a Nazi sympathizer. Now that, that's what people would remember. But over an innocent observation like this? You'll be fine.

Should have someone add a 'meow' rating, too.

And we are NOT hostile to nerds.
*kicks nerd while he's down*
Okay, a BIT hostile....

This thread shall never be forgotten because it gave us a glimpse of something better! The dream before our very eyes! The desire for a world where nerds are treated right! Be aware that a man - especially a man since girls are yucky - that saw hope is far stronger than a man that lived his life in a complete darkness! We will not fall into despair! For this is merely a sparkle that will ignite the flames of a rebellion!

Real talk: it's better to get it out of your system. Nobody's going to hold a moment of weakness against you. It's not like you acted like a jerk, anyway.

Okay, I'll probably regret asking this, but how is RWBY sexist? I'm not trying to defend it, I'm genuinaly curious.
And I haven't read RP1, but what is transphobic in it?
I can't quote it exactly, but when NerdMan the Best Nerd met the Designated Love Interest Geek Girl, he was like "are u a chick? like... a real chick with the biological parts and no operation?" Go to the RP1 discussion in Fiction Discussion and you'll find it.

Which is cringe enough on its own. Add the other Problems that book has, and you get a deeply unsavory picture of a That Nerd kinda author. Which is a subculture of nerdery that deserves to burn to ash and never be reborn, imo.

So, now that we've established that SV consists entirely of rightthinking Chads and Ashleys who would rather die than suffer the odious nerd in our midst, what's next on the itinerary?
