also you are seriously reading a little to much between the lines if you think that a single snap decision would undo 16 years of living in peace for peaces sake

Is it? Read the invisi-text; it says "Snap out of it. This isn't you." Not "This isn't right", not "Something is wrong" not "Something seems off", "This isn't you." Combine that with the first sentence, and it's obvious that whatever the invistext leads to will change how the character is. That is, by snapping out of "you", we will become a different "you". Seeing as the current "you" is the-Reincarnated-Overlord-who-is-actually-a-pretty-swell-guy...
 
do you realize that you are advocating braiwashing as an excelente way to solve societes problems ?
because aparently if outside influence is making him act in a certain way , as long as he appear to be a good guy you would be fine with it
but that aside is obvious that it says this isn't you , is not the ambiente or the situation that seens wrong , is the fact that someone is messing with our mind , read the invisitext

Where does it say that somebody is messing with our mind?
All it says is "snap out of it" - out of what? It could very well simply be "stop being a wimp and go back to being your admittedly more powerful old self", it could be "stop dreaming", it could be "stop being mind controlled", but there's no indication of exactly what "it" is, other than the fact it has something to do with our personality?

well now it's obvious that you did not see all the invisitext , I would say that a compulsion , plus migraine plus memory problems should be enought evidence
once is acident , twice is coincidence but thrice is enemy action as the saying goes

That's interesting, while it definitely seems like there's someone in our head, in the second and third lines it seems like they don't know what's going on, about the other world and whatnot. In the first line though, it seems like it's clearly us...

    The scene vanishes right before your eyes. The beast disappears like it was never there, probably never was. As for the girl...

    You drop to the floor and cover your nose.

    Oh, she was there alright. Just one problem...

    She was already dead.

    The stench of rot fills the air. You look at the decaying corpse right in front of you. Insects are already eating into her flesh.

    How long had she been dead?

    Probably for a while if the state of her corpse said anything. The real question is how come no one noticed anything.

    You need to make a decision, you don't think you can take this sight anymore.

    Any intelligent being would be unnerved at the sight of the dead. Only complete monsters would be perfectly fine.

    Well, it's hard to pull out emotions for someone you don't know.

    You can feel hot puke crawling up your throat.

    If we broke out of whatever was influencing us then it wouldn't make much sense to just decide not to try and figure out what it was about.
