Just think of the potential, fellow citizens. We shouldn't be bound to our pasts to the point we name ourselves a Remnant. We are own incarnation, our own being! We are the children of the cosmos itself, so incomprehensibly vast. We sail through cosmic dust.
Shambhala means enlightenment and harmony. It is a symbol for the independence of thought, and the clarity of thought. It is the dream we seek, that dream that will splinter into many others, on and on in generation and entropy.

Vote for the name "Pan-Sapient Shambhala," for it is a good symbol for our cosmic journey.
Seriously dude its enough. Now its borderline spamming. The more you do it the less likely people are gonna vote for you.

I thought this is a politician's quest? So I acted to persuade?

Forgive me for my earlier excesses, for they were indeed rather tongue-in-cheek. But the meaning of Shambhala is true. I truly wish to persuade people for the name. Is it not in the spirit of democracy for us to argue and debate, to celebrate the clash of ideas and policies? Democracy is played out here, and it is beautiful.

No your just being a heckling pain in the ass and I'm honestly amazed someone hasn't reported you yet. So I suggest you stop before someone actually does.

Debating and all is fine and well but it is not debating by simply saying the same thing over and over again. make your case in one post and let what happens happen

[X] The Great Swiss Covenant of Man and Metal for All Time And Eternity

So people have to use their entire breath to say our name.

Are there any universal forces that are yet undiscovered?

Yes

There are infinite possibilities in this universe, and hopefully one day, we can discover all there is to know. Science is king, and though magic and the like remain in the realms of fiction and imagination, there is no dearth of remarkable discoveries to be made. In fact, one might say that the lack of forces beyond that of the physical universe makes it more possible to advance our technology freely, with fewer limits based on laws that we scarcely understand. Everything is knowable, we only lack the means to know it.
(No Space Magic, only science - Discovering/creating new variations or forms of established technology, such as methods of FTL, is possible with interesting, and oftentimes surprising, results.)

wait, what? pretty sure we voted psionics, boss

But isn't repetition the tried and true method of having people listen to you politically? But no matter, I can sympathize with why you may dislike it. So, I'll stop my repetitious words in favor of divergent discourses.

You're right, it is perhaps a bit disrespectful for me to take up so much of a limited medium. If everyone did it, it would be a mess. So, you have my deep-felt regrets. Sorry about that, and best wishes!

I've given the reasons as to why I wished others to vote for it. It is a beautiful symbol, I think.

So the name is symbological, and more than a simple name. It is also a promise that our polity will argue and debate as to what path beholds the greatest state of life. And so, we will disagree, and our polity will open up from a seedling to a flower, spilling its seeds onto the cosmic winds themselves.

A paradoxical dream that heralds many futures. That is what it is .

For the lols. We can be like the tomb kings and have ridiculously long titles just to screw with people.

But what's so Swiss about it? Direct Democracy? Did someone just take inspiration from the historical Switzerland, and if so, why would they have hosted a name that covers but a sliver of the total historical human experience?

I can't approve such a name, for the symbol itself seems inappropriate for the many and diverse futures in store for us. The name is unworthy. Why? Well, humanity and its metal children are too diverse to be called as such. It's like calling Earth Spain. It's not Spain, for Spain implies its historical connotations. The Earth instead contains Spain, and it is but another name and symbol that is within its multitude.

Can you post why the The Children of the Last Dawn is a good name? What does it imply? Why is it the best of names? Why would you choose it over a more encompassing name?
I have said my case, and now wish to hear yours. My disagreements of the name stem from its implications. And the other name, The Great Swiss Covenant of Man and Metal for All Time And Eternity? Why just a covenant? Why Swiss?

Why not a more elegant name, a broader name?

Because it's far and away the most poetic and evocative name on the official list. Sure it's not very likely as a national name, but a lot of people were grumbling about not wanting to be another Generic Federation. Some of us really wanted the Spiritual aspect too. I wouldn't mind something like the Solar Union, but I'm not sure custom names can get any traction.

And I imagine a lot of people are voting for The Great Swiss Covenant of Man and Metal for All Time And Eternity because it's so silly it's hilarious.

Ok. Speaking about spiritual names, what in The Pan-Sapient Shambhalla is wrong?

Despite being poetic, does it not carry implications to the polity? Doesn't being a child of the last dawn imply that you are bound to it? Bound to the past, rather than simply having it be a part of you?
