You can't drive anyway! Your engine is full of cat!
That'd be the day.
All setting conceits aside, it is a bad idea because it involves making this poor lady leave her bloody car at the station, and have to walk back and pick it up later!I--
...
.....you guys actually see why walking is a bad idea, right?
The subtext implies that something will go wrong, but the text states that it will not. Unless wdango violates his long-running QM policy, there is nothing wrong with the car.Just get in the car, Shinji! Absolutely nothing will go wrong! Trust me!
There may, however, be something very wrong with where the car will take us.Unless Wdango violates his long-running QM policy, there is nothing wrong with the car.
Given that the wording was: "Just get in the car, Shinji! Absolutely nothing will go wrong! Trust me!", that would also constitute a contradiction of direct WoG.There may, however, be something very wrong with where the car will take us.
Nothing will go wrong with us getting in the car in and of itself. Anything that happens after that because we didn't get right back out would be fair game.Given that the wording was: "Just get in the car, Shinji! Absolutely nothing will go wrong! Trust me!", that would also constitute a contradiction of direct WoG.
It depends on how you define wrong. Whatever plot brought Shinji here might be going very right.Given that the wording was: "Just get in the car, Shinji! Absolutely nothing will go wrong! Trust me!", that would also constitute a contradiction of direct WoG.
Yes, "walking is healthy, car is causing air pollution."We are being distracted by OOC concerns.
Ask yourselves: "Does Shinji have any reason to avoid going by car?"
(and then tell me, 'cuz I don't know.)
A fear of cars brought on by the horrible accident that killed his mother? We are being distracted by OOC concerns.

Well, on one hand, getting in the car involves not making a scene and doing what is expected of him, so he will want to, but on the other hand, it involves making a decision, and considering he is so spineless he was given a metaphorical medical diagnosis, he has reason to not get in the car. I can't think of any reason for him to want to walk though. We are being distracted by OOC concerns.

To the extent to which he will force this female acquaintance? of his to walk an unknown distance with him, and then get back somehow and retrieve it later. Not to mention that it is reasonably rude.
Did you mean he has no reason not to get in the car?considering he is so spineless he was given a metaphorical medical diagnosis, he has reason to not get in the car.
Fiend pls.
It wasn't a car accident.........A fear of cars brought on by the horrible accident that killed his mother?
Information requested, on the basis of it being something we could know IC but don't OOC. How did Yui Ikari die?
You saw nothing.

It was never really explained to you, but she was some sort of scientist or something or other.
