[jk]Summon your giant robot.
-[jk]"Wait, what do you mean there isn't any giant robots?!"

I'm definitely not acting sketchy or anything.
That'd be the day.

I--

...

.....you guys actually see why walking is a bad idea, right?
All setting conceits aside, it is a bad idea because it involves making this poor lady leave her bloody car at the station, and have to walk back and pick it up later!

@wdango, what the hell did you expect to happen when you gave people a banal vote and tried to make them paranoid over it?

Again.

Everyone, please heed my words! The wdango, despite his treacherous and decietful nature when QMing, operates under certain rules. One of those rules is that anything he explicitly tells you is true for the purposes of the quest. Any insinuations, :drevil:, etc. should be disregarded entirely in terms of decision making.

Wdango has said:
Just get in the car, Shinji! Absolutely nothing will go wrong! Trust me!
The subtext implies that something will go wrong, but the text states that it will not. Unless wdango violates his long-running QM policy, there is nothing wrong with the car.

We are what we are, get in the god damned car!All dressed up, black hat and white cane.
Slowly circling the drain.
Ready for the future

[X] Get in the car

It is a song.

Given that the wording was: "Just get in the car, Shinji! Absolutely nothing will go wrong! Trust me!", that would also constitute a contradiction of direct WoG.
Nothing will go wrong with us getting in the car in and of itself. Anything that happens after that because we didn't get right back out would be fair game.

We are being distracted by OOC concerns.

Ask yourselves: "Does Shinji have any reason to avoid going by car?"

(and then tell me, 'cuz I don't know.)

Well, on one hand, getting in the car involves not making a scene and doing what is expected of him, so he will want to, but on the other hand, it involves making a decision, and considering he is so spineless he was given a metaphorical medical diagnosis, he has reason to not get in the car. I can't think of any reason for him to want to walk though.

Yes, "walking is healthy, car is causing air pollution." :V
To the extent to which he will force this female acquaintance? of his to walk an unknown distance with him, and then get back somehow and retrieve it later. Not to mention that it is reasonably rude.

This sort of thing is why I am not fond of wdango's style of shadowrunning-inducement. He stirs the players into panick when the MC has no real reason to be panicking, and it just distances us from the MC.

EDIT:
considering he is so spineless he was given a metaphorical medical diagnosis, he has reason to not get in the car.
Did you mean he has no reason not to get in the car?

He didn't sound very spineless when he was all "I've read so many stories I can predict anything"

Speaking of which, he can predict that getting in that car is a bad idea. He's THAT good.
