And we have The Laughing Magus, and Wandering Wizard as the two highest votes. Going to host a tiebreaker vote between those two choices then.

So, please go ahead and put in your votes. Will have a couple of hours to get those votes in before we continue on with some more options.

Character Creation PT. 2- Scenerios
Alright, now that the drawback and background options are over with, lets go over some juicer things then, shall we?

After some consideration, I have decided to give you all options for some Scenario options from here on out.

I will be leaving out any that I have already decided are going to be chosen, like Collision, or those that I have no interest in writing, or those that I simply don't have enough knowledge to write properly. Mistborn or Brandon Sanderson's various other works. Yes, heathen for a bookworm, but I have just been so busy lately and have been trying to get into his various series.

There are 6 different Scenario categories, and we have already dealt with the Personal Category from the get go.

Before I go into that, however, I will come clean at least a little bit about the Collision event. It won't be just one more world, but two of them, albeit one of the settings is more 'compact' shall we say than the other two. Neither of them are 'weak' settings, and one of them is straight up more dangerous than either of them. So, have fun with that.

Not going to mention what settings these are, but they aren't grimdark. So, no Warhammer, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, etc. And
definitely not Berserk. I love that series, but I have enough nightmares as is, thank you very much.

The reason I mention this, is because of the way that Collision and Fusion work, these worlds add their points to the overall pool of points, so it's not just ranking up the danger factor with nothing in return.

Multiplayer will not be included in the options because, frankly the workload to make even more planeswalkers using those various other CYOA's is way more than I really need. Bounty as well won't be included due to just how destructive most of these options are. Most of these things are basically bad ends no matter how you look it given the current set up.

I urge you to choose not just for the sake of points, but also for what effect these might have on the world. I realized that choosing all of these on my own wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea, and wanted to provide you all the options for how this world will be changed. And remember, not all Scenarios are necessarily fully bad things.

Once the Scenarios are locked in, I will set everything up, and then deduct points for your Magic System, Wizard's Tower, Multiversal Magic, and Magic Powers. After I have finished that up, I will present you with what Perk Points you have left and allow you to pick your perks.

After that, I will finalize everything, and give you whatever Combination Powers you might have the requirements for.

With that out of the way, here are your choices!

[ ]Small Factor

-[ ]Holy Grail War: Red marks appear on the hands of seven people, inducting them as Masters of a Holy Grail War. Their Command seals allow them to summon Servants, Heroes from Myths and History incarnated into the modern day to fight in the Holy Grail War. You are one of these people, and must summon a Servant to help you, or the other Masters will try to kill you, seeing you as an easy win.(10MP)(7P)
-[ ]Infinite Order:A set of ancient ruins appears somewhere in your chosen world. These are the old labs and lairs of members of an organization known as the Infinite Order. This may include various pieces of advanced, magical technology, vast amounts of scientific data, nanotech, and portals to other worlds. One of these will be found, and a cult will start, calling themselves the Infinite Order.(7MP)(2P)
-[ ]Atlantis:The lost city of Atlantis has resurfaced somewhere in the ocean. It contains magical secrets beyond that of the current magical world, and has many dangerous and powerful inventions and traps. (7MP)(2P)

[ ]Large Factor

-[ ]Crystals:Mana crystals appear dispersed across the world, occasionally even mutating animals into massive monsters. (10MP)(7P)
-[ ]The Dread Wasteland: One region in your chosen world becomes mostly a wasteland of sorts. Different types of monsters roam, and irregular weather patterns dominate the area. It is inhabitable, but the societies that survive tend to be ruthless and somewhat brutal, though they will be magically advanced compared to the rest of the world.(10MP)(7P)
-[ ]Omens of Life: Scattered across the world are thousands of crystals called Core Crystals. These Crystals can resonate with people and creatures that have a specific aptitude. When a being resonates with a Core Crystal they become a Driver, and the Core Crystal becomes the core of a being called a Blade. A Blade is a being made of pure Ether that can create a weapon and provide it with power. This weapon can be wielded by their bonded Driver, and the closer their relationship the stronger the weapon becomes. Blades can only die if their Core Crystal is destroyed, but they will return to their Core Crystal if their Driver is killed. Approximately one in five people in your chosen world will have the aptitude to awaken Blades. (7MP) (2P)
-[ ]Dungeon: Beneath the surface of the planet, lies a vast network of caves and tunnels that extend into seemingly every corner of the planet. Some places contain denser concentration of the caves and tunnels than others, but no one has ever found a land that was entirely free of them. People call it the Underworld, the Dungeon, the Labyrinth, and countless other names. It connects to the surface world though openings both large and small, and it descends into unfathomable depths below, creating a habitat full of dangers and wonders. The Dungeon is the source of magic and the birth place of monsters. It contains inconceivable wealth and cosmic secrets. A thousand expeditions had been launched into its depths – to plunder it, pacify it, make sense of it, or simply try and reach its bottom. Many of these had disappeared without a trace, never to be heard from again. Many more had returned with little to show for it. And no one had ever found a bottom. The interest never waned, however, and where there is a will there is a way. Similar existing dungeons in your world may be folded into this one, becoming just another section of this. Some species that may appear in the Dungeon could be the sentient Aranea, as well as other magical monsters. (15P)(11P)
-[ ]Magitech Emergence: Whether it be scientists, magicians, or both, principles of using and merging magic and science have been established and rapidly advanced, with unpredictable repercussions. The innovation of nuclear power resulted in the Cold War, this is simply orders of magnitude larger. (15MP) (11P)
-[ ]Resurgence:Magical powers and creatures are appearing at an accelerating rate in your chosen world. If your world has lost and ancient magical powers, then they will start to return as well. If your chosen world already has something along these lines happening, then the rate will be highly accelerated and will be integrated with this scenario. (15MP) (11P)
-[ ]The Inquisition:The existence of magical beings and users is now considered unacceptable to an organization within your chosen world. They will hunt magical things and attempt to contain or destroy them. They will create or find items in order to be able to fight magic. (10MP) (7P)

[ ]Invasion

-[ ]Church of Starry Wisdom:A cult known as the Church of Starry Wisdom, or the Starry Wisdom Cult has appeared in your chosen setting. They worship some manner of eldritch horror, and will be fixated on you for some reason. Perhaps it is because of your extradimensional origin, or perhaps their patron has commanded them to seek you out. (7MP)(2P)
-[ ]The Wrong Kind of Songs:A mysterious and ancient group resides in your world, and they hunt down anyone who knows anything of relevance about them. Some of the signs of their presence is blue flames, and rust. They will be scaled in power to your world. (7MP)(2P)
-[ ]Keter's Due:A nation in your chosen world has gone dark overnight. Everyone inside has suddenly died. A massive portal to hell has appeared in the capital of that nation, leading to the new kingdom of the being responsible for this. The remains of the kingdom will be trawling with undead monsters and other abominations. The backlash of the event has rendered the land inhospitable. (15MP)(11P)
-[ ]Legion: Legions of non-human beings known as Pawns wander your world now. They are listless, and without purpose, and tend to act as mercenaries. They may have the ability to use magic. Riftstones also start appearing in abandoned areas throughout your chosen world, leading to the Rift, perhaps letting you travel to different worlds.(7MP)(2P)
-[ ]Heartless and Nobodies:Monsters known as Heartless Nobodies begin to appear in your chosen world. Heartless are formed from the darkened hearts of people who have died or been attacked by other Heartless. Nobodies are the husks of those who have lost their heart. Heartless are attracted to negativity similar to Grimm but they can form massive nigh endless hordes in certain circumstances. Nobodies are effectively zombies led by the barest remains of their human memories. Both Heartless and Nobodies can vary in power from being easily fended off by civilians to world-ending threats. Nobodies can very rarely retain their rational mind they lose the ability to feel emotions and much of their humanity.(15MP)(11P)

I have to get this out right now before I head to work, but I'll do another past later today after I get off with your current drawbacks and personal scenarios.

Please have your votes in a plan format like before.

[X] Plan Dactyl's Revenge
-[X]Infinite Order
-[X]Magitech Emergence
-[X]Legions

In Greek mythology, the Daktyloi, or Dactyls were giants who brought Blacksmithing, Medicine, and Mathematic to humanity. Given where this starts, it seems thematically relevant and weirdly plausible for the Daktyloi(there were anywhere between 3 and a Hundred of them, depending on the story, though nine, ten, and thirty three were common.) to decide "Ya'know what? Fuck it. Let's spread Magitech." Just me tossing out ideas.

I actually like this a lot, and the infinite order choice was the one I wanted, cause their magic is really really cool IMO so I'm gonna vote:

[x] plan: Dactyl's Revenge

[X] Plan: Ruin Delver
-[X] Atlantis
-[X] Infinite Order
-[X] Crystals:Mana
-[X] Dungeon
-[X] Magitech Emergence

Atlantis is free points since in pjo it's Poseidon's capital and palace so already exists anyway. Would also advise people to consider it's pjo before picking something like resurgence and as a PGtE fan to avoid Keter's Due no matter what.

I wonder what magic systems we'll end up with? Trancesion fields could be fun, and MTG colored magic is always a classic

[X] Plan: Even more Gods
-[X]Infinite Order
-[X] Atlantis
-[X] Crystals:Mana
-[X]]Magitech Emergence
-[X]Resurgence
-[X]Church of Starry Wisdom
-[X]The Wrong Kind of Songs

I like these options cause they give a lot of cool stuff, magitech and resurgence raise the general power level which is neat, and for the Invasion stuff Cthulu and the Chandrian are both pretty cool.

[X] Plan: Ruin Delver
-[X] Atlantis
-[X] Infinite Order
-[X] Crystals:Mana
-[X] Dungeon
-[X] Magitech Emergence

The labyrinth already exist so it being a layer of the dungeon would make sense.

Just something for maximum chaos.

[X] Plan: Even more Gods
-[X]Infinite Order
-[X] Atlantis
-[X] Crystals:Mana
-[X]Magitech Emergence
-[X]Resurgence
-[X]Church of Starry Wisdom
-[X]The Wrong Kind of Songs

Character Creation PT3: Perks and Finalization
Alright, and here we are once again.

Since I am mainly using the CYOA as a basis for this, instead of picking out what 'power' or some of the various other options for the magic system, I have left those blank and only took the bare minimum while taking a few Unique abilities for you all.

What those are, will be unveiled in time.

You will start off with one of the various magic systems you will receive, and will receive the rest in time and under mechanics that I will explain at the end of the first 'official' post after character creation.

For now, after everything that I have picked, you will be left with 47 Perk Points to choose from.

If any options have been left out, consider it me trying to keep certain things 'balanced' There are going to be some light learning mechanics at least.

Please, make sure to have your vote be in a planned format.

Total Perk Points: 47

[ ]Clarity:Your mind has been enhanced to be more perceptive and focused. Your thoughts are clearer and sharper and you can view things without bias. (3)

[ ]Shrouded:Attempts to divine information about you tend to fail. This effect is not absolute but it can spoof most common of types of divination. (6)

[ ]Sharpshooter:You have greatly enhanced aim. You intuitively can aim any device you know how to operate with nearly perfect accuracy. (2)

[ ]Omniglot:You intuitively pick up the languages you hear and can quickly comprehend and make use of them. (6)

[ ]Other Friends:You have exceptional luck in building relations with supernatural beings. This can be aided if you make the effort to learn about them, and if you have other abilities that might help. (5)

[ ]Eye Catching:There is something about you that catches the eye and calls attention. Usually positive attention though it depends on the circumstances. You are a clearly unique person. (2)

[ ]First Impressions:You are very lucky when it comes to making first impressions. People will always come away from their first meeting with you liking or respecting you. Even your enemies will end up respecting you. (2)

[ ]Teaching:You are highly skilled at teaching others. You quickly adapt to the needs of each student and are great at framing things in a way that others will understand. (4)

[ ]Navigation:Your ability to navigate using your Multiversal Magic, especially in conjunction with your magics here is nigh on perfect. You will always find yourself at the specific world you are looking for when you travel. This is temporarily superseded by Turbulence.(6)

[ ]Inheritance:You can grant someone one magic system at a time, regardless of the strength of your adaptation. The rate is the same time it would take for you to adapt to one magic system. You must 'recharge' a magic system for equal the amount of time it would take you to grant it to someone before you can begin to grant it to anyone else. If you have Unique Abilities Adaptation, you can grant them Unique Abilities as well, though each one is treated as if it is a whole magic system. (10)

[ ]Family Will:Your recharge rate is now gone, and you can focus on five people at a time to grant your powers. You can increase this number with practice. (5) Requires Inheritance

[ ]Conversion:You can now convert one type of magical energy into another at will. This extends to things as simple as elemental alignments to entirely different types of energy. You have to be able to wield any type of magical energies that you convert. (5P)

[ ]Limitless:You can now break the hard limits of the function of a system with enough research and exposure to esoteric elements within that system. It will not be by any means easy but there will be few horizons beyond your reach now. This does not however have an effect on the mechanism of how the magic system is wielded. (10)

[ ]Identification:You can instantly identify any effect that falls within the purview of your magic, even if it was not accomplished using the same systems you have. (6P)

[ ]Encoding:You can instantly encode your magical knowledge into any medium you have available. (3)

[ ]Spark of Brilliance:The more time you spend researching or working on magical projects uninterrupted, the more you fall into a sort of trance where your sanity and common sense erodes, and your ability to produce wonders increases. (15)

[ ]Sensitivity:You have an increased sensitivity and attunement to magical phenomenon. You can perceive the flows and specifics and natures of magical forces This sensitivity is not something that can easily be turned against you, and will help in manipulating magic. (8P)

[ ]Fashion Souls:You have access to cosmetic items, allowing you to change the looks of all equipment you use without changing their efficacy or effects.(5)

[ ]Resistance:You are now innately resistant to any magical effect not of your own making. You are capable of selectively allowing certain effects to bypass this magic resistance. (5P)

[ ]Substitutions:You are able to identify all sorts of magical materials through feel alone, be they metals, plants, or mixtures. With enough practice, you could even replace materials with substitutions you have either made or found. (7)

And before I forget, I have realized that we don't yet know what our soon to be mage will look like. If any of you have any art out there that you would like to submit, please go right ahead and vote for it.

I assume we cant get perks during the quest?

I feel like we need to grab:

It will not be by any means easy but there will be few horizons beyond your reach now. This does not however have an effect on the mechanism of how the magic system is wielded. (10)

That seems like the sort of thing that we really want to be able to do over time

edit @Xolsis can we get perks later during the quest or only right now?
