Sorry for the late response, was at work and got home late.
And yes, though I didn't know at the time when I let them through that they were from an actual piece of fiction. At the time, I thought they were a generic faction to add flavor. I'm trying to find the time to read through the Gods Are Bastards, but it's a long story.
Edit: Okay so we actually succeeded with the second roll, so we made it out of New York at least.....but probably blind as to where to go for the Tower.
They were just asking if the Infinite Order mentioned in the Scenerio choices was the same one from the link, and I was confirming it. Never once did I say anything about Francis and the group that ambushed you.
For so many years, you had gotten used to only living in one place, or leaving with only the clothes on your back, with a trashbag in hand if you were lucky. Granted, you were leaving all the furniture behind, but, well, there were a lot of fucking guns here.
"Tom, we can't take that with us." Rosa refused with a not-quite snarl.
"Come on, I'm sure that we can squeeze this thing in with us…" Tom said as he cradled the .50 caliber machinegun, its tripod in a compacted form that would still take up plenty of space in the Van that Roger's friend had arrived in.
"You are already bringing enough guns to supply an entire team, and crates of ammunition. Hiding them is already going to be a pain, but what if someone searches our car?" Rosa asked with a very tired look on her face, as if she was dealing with a child who just wasn't listening instead of the second-oldest person in the building.
Rosa took that crown, but you had learned from Mia that asking women their age was akin to committing suicide.
"Didn't you say that there were monsters like giant serpents and Nemean Lions running around?" Tom asked, a last desperate attempt to try and take his biggest toy with him.
"Yes, and most of those are going to need more than even that gun to take down, so what's the point?" Rosa asked, and the discussion was tabled, Tom placing the gun back in the Basement Armory with the rest of the weapons that you were leaving behind.
"When Roger told me that I had to move into a new place, I didn't expect it to be something like this." A young voice said, as Patrick Williams stared at the wall of weapons shining in the fluorescent light.
Patrick looked to be in his early twenties, slim, but with muscle underneath his green hoodie, dark curly hair stylized into a mohawk whose front end hung just above his eyes. You knew that he had been the one that Roger had sent over due to the Alchemical Symbol you had told him to paint on the hood of the car.
Roger himself had to avoid the city now due to his face being known. Stepping in to save that kid personally meant that he had to move towards a different city while trying to organize the few numbers that they had here.
Apparently, their old base and workshop had been… run into during a horrible car accident, damn near demolishing the whole building, and would no doubt have killed a lot of people if the Programmers hadn't known to avoid the place. Which meant that they now needed a new place to base their group out of.
Did it hurt to give away the home that you had found? Yes. But it was necessary, and mostly a temporary thing for them while they worked out other deals to find a new one. In the meantime, it meant that this place would remain in friendly hands, and maybe one day you could come back.
Perhaps by the time that happens, you'll be bulletproof or can cast out fireballs like rocks.
Or maybe, you won't look like you anymore.
"Still though, I think that this is the real goldmine." Patrick said, as he took out the book you had given him. A copy of your notes on the nature of Alchemy.
It wasn't enough to actually teach them how to use said alchemy, the proper alchemical circles and equations would probably take them years to understand, let alone properly use. But it was a step in the right direction. In exchange…
Well, they had brought their own book with them for you. A primer in how to use the magic that the Programmers use. The first few pages had been an interesting read, one that perhaps opened a new path towards magic that wasn't tied into whatever your dreams were.
At its core, it was manipulating the very fabric of the world by weaving the world's energy in a way that would equate to a spell. There were many practices that could do this, such as the different ways that the Greek gods and their ilk did magic. The Programmers originally started by carving equations and archaic symbols into stone, imbuing them with the energy that they could manipulate. An offshoot of Norse magic, apparently.
And not everyone could do said magic. Only those that could see through the Mist, or had some form of godly blood in their veins could do what the Programmers did, which… limited what members they could have.
It would take time, and learning, but perhaps they, and therefore you, could find some way to teach this to people that did not have that connection to the gods or the Mist.
"So, ah, you don't mind if I pick this thing up, right? Not much of a chance a guy like me is ever going to get close to something this cool." Patrick said, giving you a bashful smile, as his hand reached for the machine gun that Tom had placed on a rack, one of his hands reaching toward the weapon like a little boy would to a toy at the store.
"Knock yourself out." You said, doing your best to act like you didn't care. Rosa refused to let you near that thing, and the argument wasn't worth the headache anymore. At least she let you keep your pistol underneath your jacket.
"So, where are you headed?" Patrick asked as he gently lifted the gun, shifting the gun back and forth after making sure that the safety was on, and there weren't any rounds inside.
"Roger didn't tell you?" You asked, checking your backpack one more time.
"Nah, just said that you needed to get the hell out of dodge, and that you knew how many guns you're leaving behind." Hah, well at least Roger was keeping some of your secrets to himself.
"West. Don't know where specifically, but our destination is out west somewhere." You answered back.
"Hm, well, you got Roger's number in case you need a hand out that way. We don't have people everywhere, but we do have some here and there. Should be able to give you a hand if you need it. Least we can do after you risked your neck for one of the bossmen." Patrick then took a selfie with his phone, which was kinda hard when lifting a big twentyish pound gun.
"Didn't know that Roger was a big shot in the group." You said, fishing for information. Information that Patrick was more than happy to give.
"He's trained most of us back when he was at our… school. He only became a recruiter and scout a few years ago, something about needing some adventure while he was 'still young' but I think that's just his version of a midlife crisis." He shrugged as he gave a little chuckle.
And then he run into you at a library while you were trying to find some books on chemistry.
You would chalk it up to coincidence, but fate was a thing in this world, and a part of you really, really hated that.
"So, what about you? Legacy?" You asked the young man, trying to get a sense for if there was something 'more' to him like you had seen from most Demigods you had met.
"I think?" He answered honestly, shrugging his shoulders, the metal earrings he wore jingling with his movements. "My family's tree is missing a lot of branches, and my daddy ran off when I was a kid, so maybe it's from his side. About the only thing that he really left me."
You noticed that there wasn't any bitterness when he said that. Just a statement of fact that couldn't be denied, and you found yourself respecting him, just a little bit for that. He had made his peace with his past, and the things he couldn't change or control. Something that was… hard for most people to do.
"Before you all head out, you sure that you're alright with our plan?" Patrick asked, one of his hands twitching, probably in nervousness, as you looked at him while swinging your backpack on. "Letting us use this place to house some people while we get everything in order?"
"You're not asking about your people, but the demigods that you've found/been housing for the past few years, aren't you?" You asked, knowing that you hadn't exactly been… subtle with your dislike of the gods.
You hadn't said anything, you weren't suicidal, but you never hid the look of disgust that Mia shared anytime that they came up.
And the answer was rather obvious.
"They probably know exactly where I'm at. I… there was something that I was experimenting with, a new practice that I hadn't used before that caused a, well, reaction that wasn't hard to understand." You stopped waiting for a response, and relaxed when the only sound that reached your ears were the honks of cars, and the rolling of engines from the next street over. "New York is their city, and trying to keep everything hidden from them is a fool's errand."
Which is why I'm heading the fuck away from here. You left unsaid, but from the way that he nodded, you knew that he understood.
"Well then kid, good luck out there. Hope that you find whatever you're lookin' for. I'll do my best to make sure that this place is still here whenever you decide to roll back into town." He reached into his pocket, and threw you a stone, one engraved with miniature numbers that you realized was a math equation. One that escaped your understanding. "Call these little things rock grenades. Smash that one on something, and run the hell away if you don't want to get any frostbite."
You quickly wrap it in a blanket before transmutating a small box of metal around the stone, to which the man gives you a disappointed look. "Oh come on, if any little jostle was going to cause that thing to go off, do you really think that I was going to give it to a kid?" He asked, looking a little glum at your reaction to his present.
That was a kinda dickish thing to do, wasn't it?
"It's more because I have no idea how us getting the hell out of here is going to go."
"What, you think that those assholes that have been snatching kids are going to try something?" He asked.
"Most undoubtably. Given how fast they reacted, and that they managed to stop traffic the way that they did the other day, they've got to have connections into the city, or have people in the city that can pull whatever strings that they want. No way that they don't have people watching the city exits for us." You said with a tired sigh, feeling far older than a teenager should.
"And staying ain't an option, because they know what you all look like." Patrick said with a frown and bitter voice. "I know that too well, trust me. If one cop knows your face… well it won't be too late before more of them do too."
There was a story to that, but the sun was setting, and you had a timetable to keep. With a wave, you jump into the Van, all the supplies and ingots you had created stored neatly in a crate, below some of the more… fragile equipment that Tom refused to leave without. Though, Rosa sent Mia a glare when the girl had started to open one of the boxes with grenades.
Maybe, just maybe, that bad feeling that you and Tom had wasn't going to happen.
Maybe you were just going to have a nice drive outside of the city, with no action, or drama derailing you.
Hah.
You almost half believed that, for just a second.
"I FUCKING KNEW THAT THIS SHIT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!" Keith screamed from the top of his lungs as his knuckles turned white on the steering wheel, the van having long since reached its top speed as he tried to avoid the gunshots from your pursuers.
Good news, you had made it out of the city.
Bad news, the moment that you hit the open road, cars came in from all directions and lit you up like the fourth of July.
You were lucky none of the rounds hit one of the boxes with grenades, though that luck ended there as you did your best not to scream as Rosa tied up bandages around the holes in your arms and in your side.
"COME ON YOU SHITMUNCHING MOOKS! I AIN'T SURVIVE NAM TO JUST DIE TO YOU LITTLE BITCHES!" Tom roared as he opened the window at the top and poked out with a sniper rifle, rage and hate dripping off the old man as his rats crowded around you, sadness in their eyes as they stared at you in worry. What the hell was up with those things?
How much blood did it take for you to start having lapses in judgement?
Probably less than however much you had lost already.
"Von, listen to me, do not close your eyes under any circumstances! Do you hear me!? Just focus on us, do you understand?" Rosa said quickly, eyes golden slits of her snake side, the rattle of a snake echoing like a machinegun, holes in her clothing, with her signature jean jacket ruined due to the amount of bullet holes.
She had thrown herself over you and Mia when the shooting had started, taking most of the bullets from you, and perfectly shielding Mia due to her falling by one of the benches.
Tom fired a shot that almost deafened the lot of you, the BANG ringing in your ears like a flashbang had gone off, enough that you almost missed the screech of tires and something heavy crashing into something else.
"Are any of the bullets still inside my body?" You asked, ignoring the slur of words in your mouth, trying to focus on your connection to the energy flowing through the earth, your reach fuzzy due to not just your injuries, but also because you weren't touching the ground. Turns out reaching for it through the moving vehicle was just a bit harder than you thought it was.
Didn't mean you couldn't tell that there were more cars coming for you.
"Yes." Rosa said, her panic calming when she noticed that you weren't a screaming mess, even though it felt like you were resembling a block of cheese more than a person right now. "One in your torso, one in your arm, but the rest seem to have made it through."
"Well, that's one good thing at least." You mutter to yourself, pulling on the energy and forcing it through your leg, biting your lip as the hole closed. It didn't completely heal all the damage there, but at least you weren't going to lose any more blood. "Mia, come-" The sound of the back door opening, cut you off, and you saw Mia bite on something, before pulling her arm away from her head, and throwing whatever was in her hand at the lights screaming down the street at you.
"Tom, shoot that!" Mia screamed, but the grenade that she had thrown exploded before she could get the first word out, taking out one of the cars that had been chasing you, the burning wreck crashing into the car next to it.
Mia… had probably just helped kill two people. If you hadn't already thrown up your dinner, you probably would have now.
"Nice shot old man!" Mia screamed out, pulling the door closed with a grunt of exertion, as she plopped onto the floor, one hand holding onto her shoulder.
Rosa went to her immediately, tearing open Mia's shirt, and snarling at the Latina. "You fool! You have a bullet in your shoulder! What if you damaged your shoulder even more!?"
"Worth it if I kept those assholes off our trail." Mia said with a savage smile on her face, biting her lip to keep from screaming as Rosa checked her shoulder.
"TOM! We got three more incoming from the south, and two more from the North!" You shouted up at the old man who remained above the Van, uncaring for the bumpy ride, or acceleration as Keith kept his foot firmly planted on the gas.
"Got it kid." He said, moving his body towards the North before shouting. "Cover your ears!"
You did, ignoring the screaming pain coming from your right arm, sighing in relief when you could finally let your limp limb towards your side.
The bandages on your arm and chest were enough to at least contain some of the bleeding, so at least that meant they didn't hit an artery. Otherwise, you would probably be dead right now.
Hell, if it wasn't for the gentle thrum of the Light, perhaps those bullets would have traveled farther into your body than they already did. You could feel it, your body, slowly pulling itself back together, bit by bit, faster than it should. Refusing to die.
Because you wouldn't. Not to this.
You did too much, had too much to do before you could finally bite the bullet.
Before that, though, you needed to get the hell out of here and make sure that those cars couldn't get to you.
"Keith, pull over." You said.
"What the fuck!? Are you crazy!? Did you hit your head when they went Rambo on us?" Keith screamed back, the panic very much taking over his system.
"Yes, and you need to stay as still as possible! We don't know where those bullets hit you!" Rosa said, the fierceness of a tiger shining through her eyes.
"Do it." Mia said quietly from her seat against the crates with your crap in them, dark conviction and trust shining through her eyes as she stared at you. "But if you don't save our asses from this, I'm kicking your ass before they kill us."
You laughed, and immediately regretted it devolving into a coughing fit, before nodding. "Deal."
Rosa picked you up in a bridal style, lifting you up without an ounce of effort or struggle, kneeling just enough so that you could place your hand on the floor. You felt your entire being relax as your connection to the earth allowed you to sense the flow of the energy without the struggle you had from the car.
And with just an ounce of effort, you tore spikes of earth, concrete, and anything else that you could guess was underneath the ground. An imperfect set of equations on too little information, but the distant crashes echoing told you that you had been successful.
You smiled as the people that had been chasing after you remained where they were, gesturing back to the Van with a tilt of your head.
Only when you were speeding down the highway towards the west, did you allow your eyes to close shut, and maybe you imagined it, but you swear you could hear the clap of thunder.
Due to traveling, Magic Learning dice have been down to 3.
You have 7 Activity Die
Due to your injury, you have lost two activity die, reducing them to 5, and are suffering from an injury malus of -10 towards all actions.
Injuries: Bullet wounds. Blood Loss. Shattered arm bone.
Due to Light Control, instead of the injury lasting for 10 turns, it has been reduced to 4 turns.
Introducing New Mechanic, Maxing Out.
Temporarily gain a Magic Learning option, including bonuses that it might bring, for one action in exchange for five points on the Arcane Mark meter. You will also gain whatever bonus was given for the action towards learning that category.
This does not mean a whole magic system like paracausality, but instead one of the choices underneath said system, like Gravity, Combustion, etc etc.
In failing to successfully sneak out of the city, you are being tracked. You have managed to evade your pursuers, but they will find you eventually, as you have no idea how far their reach is.
If you have not found whatever it is that you are looking for, you will eventually be found by your pursuers, and combat will ensue.

[ ]Healing DC150: The actual puncture wounds can be healed no problem, you finished healing Mia without an issue. You took care of the worst of the injuries, but well, while you might understand a lot more about the human body than most people, you are no doctor and surgeon. And the bones in your arm are still very much a fractured mess, even if the bullet is now gone. You didn't have time to be a crippled mess for a month, running around with a sling on one of your arms and having to concentrate on not giving into the pain. And going to the doctor is… not in the cards for you. Not after they start asking questions.

Void
Gravity 24/500: The pull of the world around you, the force that dictates the planet's orbit around the sun. The absence of it that causes you to drift out in the void of space. Harness this power, and maybe someday, you will be able to pull the gods from the heavens.
Spatial Distortions 500DC: Warptravel, blink, teleportation. The ability to move through space in a way that defies the laws of reality. And also the means to destroy your opponents by literally warping the very atoms in their body apart.
Voidwalker 1000DC(Locked): Hold the energy of a dying star in the palm of your hands, and watch from a mile away the world give way to the chaos of life.
Solar
Combustion 500DC: The power of the sun in the palm of your hands. Harness the heat of life to immolate your enemies, and forge your own path forward.
Sunsinger 500DC: Through the heat of the sun, life is possible. And through this philosophy, you have found the healing that comes from the sun. Use the energy of fire to heal not just yourself, but others as well.
Dawnblade 1000DC(Locked): Harness the full power of your Solar to take flight into the air, forging your flames into a blade as your burning wings leave patterns across the sky. Darkness Categories
Darkness Control 0/40: The Ability to control the Darkness, the realm of consciousness and dreams of oneself. Where the Light is in the realm of the physical, the Darkness is the other half of life. After all, where would we be without our thoughts, dreams, and the memories of those that came before?
Unlocks the ability to use the Darkness and expand one's own mind, intuition, and supernatural sensitivity. Further options down the path of Darkness will be unlocked.
Demonic Blood 32/250: In a previous life, you were the child of a demon and a human, a fact that goes deeper than simply your blood. It seems whatever power was derived from your ancestry has followed you here, and is just waiting for you to reach out and grab it.
Magic is in your very blood, and you will find yourself able to use and interact with magical energies far easier with this blood unlocked. An overall increase to your physical abilities will come through, as well as an invulnerability to most forms of fire. Magma and lightning will still kill you though.

Max Out in exchange for Five Points for one actions?
Anyway, we have obvious priorities right now, and they are blatantly and immediately useful, so I'm going to do my thing and then slap down the actually usable plan for this scenario instead of waffling like normal. Deal? Deal.
Due to traveling, Magic Learning dice have been down to 3.
Due to your injury, you have lost two activity die, reducing them to 5, and are suffering from an injury malus of -10 towards all actions.
Injuries: Bullet wounds. Blood Loss. Shattered arm bone.
Oh look, more bad things. This is now annoying as all fuck. Behold the power of 1s I guess.
Due to Light Control, instead of the injury lasting for 10 turns, it has been reduced to 4 turns.
Oh look, something good came out of it. Too bad it's the reason we are in this mess to begin with.
And before any of you try to snap back, Yes, it is the reason we are in this mess, because if we hadn't kicked Olympus with awakening it we could have hunkered down in the city while using the sewer system to travel undetected, and built up some more in the process. Instead, we got forced into a shit sandwich because we had opposition on two fronts, which is never a good thing and forced drastic action.
Pay attention in the future, please? I am disliking constantly being right about my worst case scenarios.

Could be useful, could be weird. All I know is that Arcane Marking takes two turns per point to wear off, so if we use it for anything it had better fucking count.
Oh, and as much as people want to think that right now is a good time to Max Out, it really isnt. So get that thought out of your mind until we at least clear the goddamn State Line and are on an interstate or something

So. about time limits.
Since we are stuck in this hell for the moment, it bears noting that we do not know how long it will take for them to catch back up, or what methods they have that will work for tracking. So, priorities, please.
[ ]Not So Legal Means: Keith might be an unexpected tag along, but he is also an accomplished thief. Maybe he could help you in some not so legal arts? DC 04/20 Will learn a Thievery related skill. Will reduce rolls for certain actions
Normally a good pick. Right now, not so much. Pass.
[ ]Locked and Loaded DC 5/35: Sure, there were plenty of monsters out there that could tank bullets. That didn't mean you couldn't kill them if you didn't pump enough lead into them. Have Tom teach you how to shoot. Couldn't hurt.
The Firefight showed off rather clearly that we need this more than ever, but time constraints and being hurt to hell and back pretty much tabled this indefinitely. Pass
[ ]Figure Out Calling DC20: Ever since your abilities began to manifest, you have had a calling pulling you somewhere to the west. With your understanding of the Dragon Pulse, maybe you pinpoint it easier? Will know general area of calling. Less chance of complications arising. (Alchemy Bonus)
So, making a note here: Two dice is an auto-pass for this roll, regardless of anything else. I would have to check the math, but we could probably get away with one if needed or desired.
[ ]Alchemy Gear DC45: Now that you have mastered, well, more like learned the basics, of Atelier Alchemy, you are now capable of crafting items using materials. But, before that, you are going to need to create some tools for that use. Requirement: 2 Ingots of Metal. 1 unit of glass. (Alchemy Bonus)
Atelier potions are awesome for healing. Really they are. Thing is, Until you gett good at it, Atelier alchemy is also the kind of thing that needs a bit of stability to work with. Besides, I think we left the materials back at the hideout, so pass for now.

Okay, so this is important enough to actually warrant a comment: We cannot afford to go all-in on healing. Doing so would be disastrous to everything we are doing at the moment. Do we need to invest? Definitely. We just cant pour everything into it, because that wastes timem we do not have.
Keep this in mind as we travel.
[ ]Portable Transmutation Circles DC20: You might not need to use Transmutation Circles anymore, but that doesn't mean that the same applies to the rest of your group. Make some new ones for your crew to make it easier for them to use alchemy in tense situations.
…Wait, when'd the DC for this get so low?
Anyway, one Die maximum if you want it. I recommend doing so, but not solely my call.

Remember what I said above if you want to include any of this.
This covers all the essentials. Gets us the location we actually need to go to, and pushes for accelerated healing. My throwing a die at Portable Transmutation Circles is me seeing that DC and realizing that a single die investment is actually feasible and going for it. It'll be a force multiplier for our guys later on. Edit: upon further review, I missed the -10 malus when making this, so Transmutation is off of the table for now. Dice shifted to Calling to maintain auto-success.
Magic Dice are what you would expect from me, after the mess that was Paracausality. As I said above, Atelier Alchemy in its early stages is very much reliant on stability to work right, and we don't have the gear anyway, so bypassing it is a good thing.
EDIT: Plan Updated to account for missed details.
Edit II: Second plan adjustment, moved overflowing die to Healing upon math check.

We have a -10 to rolls right now and this category does not get a bonus so i would wait until that injury penalty is lower and just add the die to healing

Why are we avoiding getting darkness? It seems like it would be possible to gain immediate benefits especially since we are no longer on somebody else's turf

Also if we wait long enough we should hopefully 1) be in our tower and can have more knowledge on our magic systems 2) pick up additional magic systems that will mitigate problems with other magic systems
