Thinking that using the moe plugin might trigger her and cause her to relapse, you instead tried a different approach. You turned your Moe plugin to zero and turned on your Idol plugin to 20%. Immediately you felt a bit of change in your personality as you quickly undid your braids and exchanged them for some twintails. Hagiri stared at you with a confused face as you did so. "What."
"No time to explain, got a meguca to cheer up," you said quickly as you briskly walked over the panicking Mami.
"What."
Mami was curled up in a fetal position crying, so you crouched down to pick her up. "Up you go!" you said as you hoisted her onto her feet and dusted some dirt off her dress. "Come on, Mami you can't get that sad over some memories!" you said, sneaking one of her grief seeds out of her pocket and pressing it against her ring stealthily. You can't have the only magical girl in the area grief spiral, you incubators still need to harvest the witches.
It was a bit tricky not letting anyone see you remove the corruption from her Soul Gem, but you managed. Mami visibly got better as the grief was removed from her gem, her tears giving way to simple sniffling. You stepped to the side and turned a bit so no-one could see as you popped the (now filled) grief seed into your mouth and swallowed. Hmmm, tasted like bacon.
"Better now?" you said, turning back to face her.
"Yes... a bit," she said, wiping away some tears . "Sorry about that... how did you know my name?"
"Hagiri, she speaks highly of you," you said.
"Haha, sounds like Hagiri all right," she said, giving a small smile.
You escorted her to the couch, where you slowly sat both of you down. You placed one hand on her lap and used another to pat on her head.
"Come on Mami, it's okay..." you soothed her.
"Um... Even if I don't know you... thank you for calming me down..." Mami said shyly.
"No problem," you said as you continue patting her head.
"I'm... sorry about my outburst it's just... I'm scared that since that forgot my memories, I can't remember important events. What if another magical girl challenged my for territory? What if my homework is overdue? What if Kyouko came back and we're dating again... I just..." she went quiet for a moment. "Sorry, I just... it's scary..."
"Well, if you want your memory back so bad, how about checking things like journals or logs you've written?" you pointed out.
"You're right... I still have my diary back at my apartment! Come on KyuBey! We got memories to regain!" she said, grabbing KyuBey before rushing out the door with renewed vigor.
"Well that's one problem fixed, right guys? ...Guys?" you looked to see the both Hagiri and Hazami were staring at you.
"Hagiri, does she always have these wierd personality changes?"
"Nope, first time seeing this," she answered.
"I'm right here you know," you said.
"We know, it's just that we're still processing what happened," Hagiri said.
"Yeah... what is up with that?" Hazami asked. "Do you have some sort of disorder or something?"
