Takes a look

I'd like a bit more detail about what exactly the player learns by getting these collectibles. What's in Whisper's flashbacks, what did the researchers find that went horribly wrong, that sort of thing.
C: And the script for a Synthetic Invasion commercial we made?
Whoops, didn't see that.

Takes a look

It's a little too short for my preference, but I'll give you +3 to profit and +2 to reception for Synthetic Invasion if and when it get made.
It's over... It's too late to suggest I use my reroll, huh?
Well, you did mention using it for that earlier, so let's see if it would do anything.

Reroll: 48 + 35 = 83

That would be significantly better. If someone writes an omake explaining how someone at Sega kept the DLC from becoming a stain on the game and I like it enough, I'll let you bend fate this time. But it needs to be good. Plausible, detailed, well-written, et cetera. I want to see thought, effort, and care.

Is there a deadline for this?

I want to see thought, effort, and care
well my writing isn't good, so looks like I can't help

A concept I could see is the fan base being pissed they they're locking content behind a paywall, telling people to boycott, don't buy resistance, etc etc.

Sega could respond by bundling the DLC with the game for pre-orders or on launch, for like the first couple months. Or lowering the price more to like a dollar or something

C: That sounds like a decent option, yeah.

Is there a deadline for this?
You've got... let's say forty-eight hours. The next update is when I'll be doing the rolls for the Concord launch, so the status of the Resistance DLC needs to be firmly decided by then. I'll delay the update by a day to give you all time to think of things to write, but I don't want to hold things up for too long.

Thank you so very much, QM, I am so very grateful!

I'll be frank, I hadn't thought we where making them pay for this DLC. It was just an extra game mode entirely detached from the main game.

Also- did @Small Nerd see the reaction I did to the Resistance Trailer?

C: Summary version of what we're writing: a Game Informer article about adding the DLC to the main game in exchange for a small price tag increase (but less than the DLC itself costs). In an interview with Lizuka, he uses Corporate as a scapegoat for why the arena mode was DLC in the first place.

She did and gave +5 to both Reception and Profit.

I thought that, if it were paid for, it'd cost like a dollar or something. Nothing like five or six dollars. Wait... Should I have clarified in my pitch that the DLC wasn't meant to be monetized, @Small Nerd?

So wait, you're making us have to make another Omake, of significant quality, to use a Re-Roll that was already earned by doing a high-quality Omake?

It's because I didn't tell Small Nerd to apply the reroll before the Reception was rolled for. Had I said to do it beforehand, then we wouldn't need to write the omake.

Edit: Espio'd!

Yeah, free DLC is something that needs to be specifically described that way. I must've not explained that very well, which is my bad.

...I may be stupid.

Yeah, okay, two fuck-ups on my part back-to-back isn't great. I'm just gonna pretend the reroll was the result you got the first time and @Duke William of can decide if he wants to use the reroll to see if you can get a higher number than 48 to stick bonuses onto.

Honestly what kind of clusterfuck it needs to be, to completely demolish the dlc that perfect? Trade war? Parents striking against the game? Internal investigation in lieu of insider trading AGAIN?!

And holy shit. We just exceeded the 50 thread marks range! HELL YEAH!

Okay, at least we've been able to establish before anything truly bad happened.

I'm gonna let the thread decide since the reroll could potentially be lower and I don't want to use it frivolous.

C: So... should we still write the article?
If it gets us bonuses, go for it. :)

Idea for the future
Instead of bonuses being applied to reception
Make it a floor, the better the production of a game is, the higher the minimum can be
Perhaps maxing out at 50

You definitely should still write the article!

Who knows, whatever it was it got close to successfully destroying not only itself but also Resistance!

I believe nothing's been set in stone, though I personally think it would be very funny if Halo somehow ended up as a killer app for the Gamecube. More realistically, though, it's probably a PC exclusive.
So, from what I'm hearing, Halo at the very least exist.

Hmm... I was planning on having Starfox basically replace Halo ITTL, but the two series being rivals could be more interesting...

The tone's a little too informal for a Wikipedia article, but other than that this seems pretty good. Combined with the ridiculous rolls you all have been getting, I think it's safe to say that the Functionality safety net will return after the Concord's launch.
Small Nerd: "I'm going to take away the safety net to make things harder."
